Chapter 25:
TOOI
"Finally, we've arrived."
"Where are our children?" Rünga saw the children they were looking for pulling in with such force that Samuël almost resigned himself to this behavior.
“Those are our children, we have to get in there quickly.” Rünga & Wendy rushed to their children.
"Hey, let go of our children!"
The deaf mothers protested their father and mother's instructions.
"Let us go, we didn't do it anyway."
“SHUT UP!! Or your family will be burned by that lava water.”
Samuël and his younger sister, no matter how hard they tried, couldn't always give in to their father and mother.
"If you do something that God is angry with, then you will become sacrifices in this village. Do you want to do it?"
Suddenly the situation worsened until the rising lava reached the shelter, the residents who were heading to the place were burned because the lava quickly burned the entire area where they had built.
"Look at you, God is looking for those who break our village's rules to eat you. Look, you're going to eat—"
Rünga forcefully threw the women down using a throwing technique: holding both hands tightly around the upper abdomen, spreading both legs, and lifting with full force until the opponent fell to the ground, right on the top of the skull.
The residents in the shelter were shocked to see Rünga's actions, because he had won the championship in Tere Village without committing such a violation. The family finally entered the shelter safely, leaving behind the mothers who did not respect the ethics that existed in the village rules.
"Huh... We're safe."
"Yes, we survived the earthquake."
The surviving families and residents also entered the shelter safely. The shelter was made of fire-resistant materials, even at high temperatures. When the object touches the lava water, there will be minerals found throughout the area.
After the family managed to survive, the residents witnessed the destruction that was out there, the heat was high enough to make those who remained would roast their entire bodies - like an atomic bomb that happened in Japan because the United States government tried to destroy the area using an atomic bomb designed by J. Robert Oppenheimer.
The family panicked because the father-Rünga's actions in using the throwing technique caused problems for the whole family, not long after a prominent religious figure immediately walked towards the family.
“What did you do?”
“No, I-I just asked that person.”
“Are you serious? Is that true?”
"Yes, I am serious about the one and only God. I have no regrets about what I did."
Then a prominent religious figure asked all the survivors of the disaster who were frustrated by the destruction.
“Did they do it?” The residents were confused by the bishop's answer to his family, so one of the residents stood up while everyone was crowded in the shelter.
"What's strange about what you're asking? Do all these humans have to do a job that you do? Is this all the grace that you do?"
"You're doing this as you please? We're here to protect, not fight. What are we here for?"
The citizens cheered the bishop for doing this heinous thing, everyone flocked to voice all the residents in the shelter with anger. Rünga also voiced his concern about the uncertainty of the pastors who were fed up with what they were doing now.
"Everyone, listen to what I'm doing. We are lower-middle class people who desperately want to be successful and build our village to be better. Now the mountain that wants to destroy our village, for the first time in our lives, is about to spew out water so hot that it could burn our entire bodies. We have to do something to prevent us from doing important things like them."
Rünga pointed to the bishop who was a fake bishop and the citizens agreed with what he did, the bishop began to lose his temper and he wanted to drain Rünga from him.
“What are you doing? Are you badmouthing me?”
“Yes, why?”
"I am sorry for the disaster we committed in a trial by our God and want to pray again to be given salvation from the sins we committed."
“Huh?” Rünga immediately refuted the bishop's statement in annoyance.
