Epilogue: Ina’s Journal

Fall day 13

I am Ina, once known as Raiona, Princess of Aesylium. I’m still adjusting to that part. It has been two weeks since I’ve arrived in the kingdom, four since I’ve arrived in Meu.

Here are my key takeaways thus far:

1. Investigating mother's illness remains top priority. Enlisted Pan and Elliot's assistance.

First task : Obtain legendary magical flower for her pain.

2. Finding a way back to Earth, and then back to Meu (crossing between worlds). This would be my long term project. I would like to be able to get back and forth as I please, as I miss Ami and my siblings dearly.

3. Stay away from Ishara

Fall day 20

I had been fulfilling my princess duties, attending to tasks like meeting with the council and engaging with the public. My father expresses pride in my efforts. I recently made a new friend, Ilmayari, a noble.

Fall day 23

Celphi regained full consciousness, while Mede took on his human form again, all within the same hour. Wish me luck.

Ilmayari asserted that engagement between Riye and Raiona doesn’t apply to me. Decisions were made with the former princess Raiona, not the current version of me.

I’m at my wits end with all these men overwhelming me with their affection. Still no sighting of said flower.

The men in my life are constantly smothering me with affection. Mother enjoys it. I don’t. Today, I was even inundated with a bouquet of sparkling flowers. I almost lost it till I realized that it was the flowers we needed for mother. The petals reflected the sunlight like faceted Swarovski gems, in a kaleidoscope of colors that lit up the room like a disco ball. It came with a letter that says:

“I wish I can pick all the prettiest words in Meu and offer them to you, but I can’t. I hope the flowers do for now.”

After much struggle, and against my parents’ will, I broke my engagement to Riye.

By choosing this path, I might have sealed both my fate and Meu's. All five men, powerful beyond measure, and in love with me to the point of ruin, pursue me now with a love so fierce it feels like a storm that will never stop.

All pulled to me with a love as certain as gravity, a force I can no longer bring myself to resist.
