25: My First Magic

"Let's do it."

"No!!!" The bishop stripped Wendy and raped her to perform a ritual that had never been performed before and was considered illegal by religious authorities.

Suddenly, Flora woke up from the dirty, dry ground and tried to wash herself in the same way. Samuel, seeing this, suddenly panicked as one of the daughters he had protected his whole life had to do the same to his own mother. "I'm the same. Go ahead and open it, but don't do it to Mom. I'll do it for you." 

"Don't worry, you're still unharmed, and that should protect you in the future."

"But I can't bear to see my mother do something so inappropriate. Let me do it." Unable to bear seeing his sister treated so badly, Samuël was frustrated by what had happened. She thought to herself. 

"Ah... Do I have the strength to defeat those bastard bishops? I won't let them this time. I must protect my family and save myself. But it's too late." Suddenly, he remembered the words written in the old book he had found in his desk drawer and memorized a spell.

"HALO, WERKIS SAFFONIO, INTERFRONTAL COLOMBUS, WIND MIRACLE!!!"

"Why doesn't work?" Samuël suddenly found himself confused by the mantra he'd been repeating in his mind. The bishop was still raping Wendy's mother as she was about to enter the sanctuary.

He was shocked to see the bishops suddenly freeze, then explode, completely dead.

"Huh? Why them? Are they dead?" The residents were shocked by Samuël's unexpected behavior. Because Samuël had only used magic after reading an old book, and because he loved reading and creating new things, it was hard to believe that it was a magic book his father had just given him. Samuël was also shocked and panicked by his actions in front of residents who were dying and sick from the destruction in their communities. 

"What did I do?" Samuel wondered, thinking that reading that book had changed everything. Samuel embraces his sister Flora after she nearly rapes the false bishop, his mother finds solace in the religion she learned in the village, and his father is forced to commit suicide due to blood loss from the previous incident. "Hey, are you OK?"

"Yes, I'm OK, honey. You have to take care of our kids. You have to be strong when I'm away."

"Don't worry. You're already one of the most popular kids at school." Wendy cries as she thinks about Lunga, the person she loves most and the only person left in her life, leaving her. Then he notices the letter he is holding from Lunga. He didn't want to get into any trouble, so he quickly read the letter with a weak heart.

Darling, thank you for being one of the best girls I met in school and a top student. She helped me study so that we could achieve our dreams together. Like an envelope and a stamp, you are irreplaceable to me. I promise I will never leave you. We are grateful to be smart, but our intelligence is hard to impart to our children. I'm sure... one day we'll meet again in the same place. Wendy, thank you for this time and for allowing us to meet for the next life. ~ Rünga
