Chapter 13:

Afterword

I Swear I'm Not A Bad Cultist!

To start off, big shoutout to Honeyfeed and MAL for sponsoring this contest prompt. This is probably one of my favourite light novel contests aside from JNC’s new annual winter ones.

For me, when I think of light novels, I always think of fantasy names like Overlord, Konosuba, Tensei Slime or Re:Zero.

It’s when I finished reading these series that the seed of wanting to write something similar to these works bloomed in my heart.

Yet ironically, the isekai and fantasy genre is rarely brought up on Honeyfeed, so I was extremely excited to hear this year’s prompt would be isekai.

I'd also like to apologize if there were a lot of grammatical errors or if some parts were missing.

I'm still quite new to the novel writing industry, been doing novel writing for only two and a half years. Not much fame or followers either since I have an erratic posting schedule and I tend to do biweekly long chapters rather than daily or bi-daily short chapters.

As for the missing sentences and parts. Either I forgot, or something went wrong when I copy and pasted from the google docs. Sorry about that.

Though some of it has been resolved thanks to my proofreader, Stiefbelief, who did it for free and gave me many pointers. Love you.

There was quite a bit of content I wanted to post, but sadly, post-secondary and some personal family matters got in the way and I was barely able to make the cut with my story.

In the additional content, I wanted to share a bit of the perspective of Shin’s classmates and the Church, who would all play crucial roles in future content and not simply friend or foe.

I also had in mind to introduce a mystery character who’d play a bit of a gruff veteran character like Geralt from the Witcher series.

I actually have the chapters stored away in my google docs, made up of a good 10K words. Didn’t publish them since they weren’t edited and have some chunks missing.

Sadly, they might not see the light of day for months as today’s the deadline.

But who knows? If this shoddily written series with horrible grammar manages to win a prize, perhaps those additional chapters might see sunshine.

Anyhow, I just wanted to thank Honeyfeed and MAL for hosting this contest. Hopefully they’d host more contests like these in the future.

PS: I do plan on trying to make more content with this series even if I don't win, though it'd probably won't be posted on Honeyfeed. Be sure to stay tuned after this contest is over.
