Chapter 37:

Epilogue

The Fool Magister

Leona made her way through the Bazaar, she had lost track how many times she had walked through this place. Her feet always brought her to a very specific Bazaar however, one near an alley, with a standing mirror and a somewhat rude owner.

“Hey.”

She looked up as the man at the stall addressed her.

“If you ain’t buying then don’t touch the merchandise.”

Her eyes narrowed at the man and with a sigh she pointed at him.

“Aren’t you tired of this…boss?”

The owner grinned at the sleepy looking woman, she blinked and the owner vanished only to replaced by Trickster she knew all too well.

“I like having a front row seat you know that. Besides…both of them were thrown away. They can’t complain at me picking up the scraps.”

“...so I’m to keep guiding them then.”

“Yep. Still it says a lot when the Deity of Trickery is the responsible one here…”

“Why are you being this responsible?”

Naji offered a smile to his subordinate and leaning forward his form shifted back to the stall owner.

“Sages are said to be the pinnacle of humanity, and Magisters above them…but wouldn’t it be interesting to have a Magister that is actually a Fool? I believe one of them may have the potential for that.”

Naji motioned to the growing crowd of people as the Bazaar opened.

“Don’t think too much about it…Leona now right? Just enjoy the show.”
