Chapter 46 protocol : Welcome To Eldoria

Steel rang against steel as sparks flew across the training grounds of Solarys. Billy’s sword burned with fire, clashing against Darius’s spear, each strike echoing like thunder.

“Too slow!” Selene called, vanishing into a blur of shadows. She reappeared behind Billy, daggers grazing the air near his throat. But a silver barrier shimmered, halting her blade.

“Got you covered,” Elira said calmly, her staff glowing with lunar light.

Billy smirked, flames igniting along his blade. “Then let’s finish this.”

He swung, a crimson arc of fire racing toward Darius, who slammed his spear into the ground. A wall of stone erupted, blocking the blast.

The spar ended with all four breathing hard, sweat dripping down their brows.

“Not bad,” Darius rumbled, lowering his spear. “But you’ll need more than fire tricks when the veil breaks.”

Billy sheathed his sword, fire fading from the blade. “That’s why we keep training. We don’t know when the real fight will come.”

Their words carried into the night, where horns soon sounded from the castle. The group was summoned before King Arcturus in the great hall.

The king’s eyes were weary, his crown heavy with worry. “The veil weakens faster than our mages predicted. If it collapses, Eldoria falls.”

A murmur filled the chamber. Selene crossed her arms, scoffing. “So what’s the plan, Your Majesty? Swing our swords harder until the Demon King gets bored?”

“Not quite,” the king said gravely. “There is… another way.”

Silence. Every gaze locked onto him.

“The ancient scrolls speak of summoning heroes from another world,” Arcturus continued. “Champions untouched by the Demon King’s curse. Their strength may be our last hope.”

Billy’s heart pounded. Summon heroes? From another world?

As the words echoed, far away in the Demon Realm, shadows danced in a throne room of black stone. The Demon King, vast and terrifying, leaned upon his throne of bone. At his feet, Silas knelt, battered but alive.

“My lord,” Silas rasped. “The humans prepare for your coming with great power… and the king of Eldoria speaks of summoning heroes.”

The Demon King’s crimson eyes glowed like dying suns. His voice rumbled with cruel amusement.

“Let them. Heroes or not… All worlds will burn.”
