[Anime Review] - Turkey! Time to Strike

This is my review of an anime called Turkey! Time to Strike

Initial thought: "Oh, an anime about bowling? That's unique. I'll check it out."
In episode one: "Holy heck, the animation felt divine. What? Who made this? Ahhh... one of the animator directors was directing Attack on Titan. No wonder."
On the last second of episode one: "... What the h*ll? What is going on?"
Isekai'd to the past: "Huh? I... sekai?"

Yup, that was me.
But to tell you the truth, I don't mind isekai, as long as the story is great. And this one, eh..., kind of in the same lane. So, let's just get on with the review.

How did I find this?
Random tweet/post on Twitter/X saying it was an isekai. I was curious, so I went beyond and finished this show.

Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
Bowling!
I was also hooked by the first 20 minutes, and then bang! Isekai'd. 🤣

Platform
Bahamut Taiwan and Crunchyroll.
Huff. Guess I needed to sail the seven seas. Yaaaar!

The review;
Plot/Story
5 High School girls in a Bowling Club just lost a tournament because their captain f*cked up her last shot. When one of them argued with the captain, the captain lashed out and threw a bowling ball on the available alley. She screamed, and all of a sudden her bowling ball shone and dragged her and her 4 friends into the past, where they learned a valuable lesson.

No, I'm not joking. That's the plot. What makes it funnier is that all of the members are taking bowling seriously when people's lives are on the line. I'm serious, the only one who took bowling seriously is just one member, it's the blue-haired girl, named Rina. Others only saw it as some other reason, including the captain, Mai.

I'm not going to tell you a whole lot, but it is actually a fun premise. It was silly, but it went hard for no freaking reason other than to evaluate the tense of the moment. The story also doesn't make you think much; it's just average to get you invested in the animation.

Character
They are all fantastic. I just want to say that I couldn't believe they just made the hair of the MC and the same as the connected supporting person's hair. It was so predictable who taught a lesson to whom; it was fun when it finally happened.

OST/SFX
I love the song. Of course, not the strongest this season, but it was still great. Especially when they had many for their ED.
Oh, also, they should make a girl band story next, cause it seems like the OP suggested that the MCs can actually sing beautifully. I don't know why they decided on bowling isekai when the intro literally said that they can sing well. 😂

Animation
I have mentioned that the person who is directing Attack on Titan is also directing this anime. Well, one of the at least. So yeah, it went super hard whenever there is a good scene, no joke.
I was surprised by how fluid the hair flow, the depth of perspective, and the camera work were. It is just pure cinema.

VA
Two Thumbs up. Don't have anything to say on this section.

The conclusion;
The good
I always love seeing hidden gems like this. Not many people are malding over every single thing about the show.
The bad
I need more anime from these animation directors. They are so good at their job. I want more. 😩

Overall 7.7/10
A good watch. I don't typically recommend anime that's really weird for you to watch, but this one is exceptional. It is great just because animation and interaction.
