Chapter 2- Typhoon and Heroes Wild

Then we entered the gate of Alex’s house, sorry make that a mansion. After their audience with Aro he told me that if I wanted I could join their team and I said yes because, the other group Barry mention to be on par with Alex’s group had more girls in it, so I decided to stay with them. Alex and Chelsea were already going to get married after the enter maou frenzy. Elsa-the elf-was too concerned about the history of civilization and magic. The only members left were Nu, the cat therianthrope; Choji the ogre druid and his sister who is the chef.

Glass, Choji’s sister and Nu are technically…no part of my harem but it is better than having over four in your party, no it is still the same and everyone treats me like some kami. Currently I am in a meeting with Alex and the others to state my position in the group and what I expect as an NPC or rookie as the case may be.

“So, what it is you want to talk about.”

“Yeah Great Shinta, we will do it for you”

It was more or less Alex and Nu that started the meeting and that was a straight forward question from Alex, but no matter what I have to state my role as the noob in the group and nothing more, hopefully they would listen.

“LISTEN UP GUYS.” I started enthusiastically, “I need you guys to view me as the “rookie” of the group” I said as I brought down my voice, “I just want to build up on other stats of mine other than my MP, so I am hoping you will train me till I master my full strength and also please regard me as one of comrades and not as just the hero.”

Afterwards they all just sat their dumbfounded at my request, but few moments after Chelsea decided to speak up for the others. “Um… Sir Shinta, sorry Shinta so you just want to be respected as we respect ourselves.”

“Y-y-yes, that is it.” I replied timid meanwhile inside I was just happy because I was finally called by my name without the extra titles.

Everyone decided to call me by my name, only Nu, Glass and Elsa, Nu kept calling me Great Shinta, Glass calls me Master Irashime and Elsa keeps calling me Little Shinta.

After the meeting, they decided to fully introduce themselves, and the only thing I really caught from their speech was, their names, age, race and what they specialize in.

Alexander- Alex, as I call him- is 29, he is a human and he specializes in swords and a little offensive magic, he has your typical isekai main character look with black hair and black eyes, he also looks like your classic respected team leader and gives off such vibes.

Chelsea is 24, she is also human and she specializes magic and has ten affinities which is technically a big deal, she has waist length black hair and deep violet eyes, she gives off the second leader vibes and is the type who is somewhat short fused. Alex says she also has a nickname among bandits as the Queen of Thorns, basically because her torture method is on another level.

Choji, he is an greater ogre, he is 33 and he specializes in defense and defensive magic, he is clearly over six feet tall and has a large muscular build; he has a tanned skin and looks more human than ogre. He said his dad completed a trial for evolution that is why he and his younger sister are evolved, ogres tend to look more human than ogres. He also has a short ginger coloured hair and black eyes, he is the typical calm guy of the group and somehow the third smartest.

Glass, she is also a greater ogre and she is 28 and she specializes in cooking and magic, she is also known as the last card of the team even though she is not the strongest member. She has a shoulder length ginger hair and brown eyes, she is the calm and shy type who has exceptional traits and abilities.

Nu is 16, she is a cat therianthrope and she specializes in healing magic and assassinations quite ironic if you ask me. She has ankle length black hair and cat ears, she also has green eyes. She technically the life of the group and the most clumsy member when not serious and last but definably not the least is Elsa, she is an elf and obviously the oldest in the group at 431 years old and I wonder why she joined this group instead of a longer age living team, she is the strongest in the group and specializes in around five main affinities and can use fifty more with the grimoires and tomes, she looks like your average fantasy elf with blonde hair and blue eyes, she is heavily immersed in history and magic, she also has a high affection for natural and supernatural forces.

All in all this is the perfect group to start training in and when I max out, my fight with the final demon lord will be perfect.

The next day, Chelsea told me I was going to get my adventurer’s card, it technically helps one know their stats and other stuff like that said I was also going to get my scan ability which enables one to get a grasp of their and their opponents abilities and all. So we all left the mansion leaving Glass and Elsa to protect it and are headed to the Basilisk Adventurer’s Guild, B.A.G for short, It  is the most renowned, influential and powerful guild around the continent, Chelsea mentioned that the guild is half as powerful as the five great nations on the continent meaning the smaller nations ain’t standing a chance against them.

We arrive at their headquarters in the commercial capital of the kingdom, Tragos, and that is the fifth largest none capital state in on the continent and the biggest in the kingdom. We enter the B.A.G and I am redirected to a room to check my stats and stuff…all I can say is that I got another trope.

Name-Shinta Irashime; Age-19; Level-0; HP-100/100; SHP-200/200; Power Level-30; Resistances- Dimensional Magic, Time Magic, Void Magic, Spacefold Magic; Affinities- Teleportation Magic, Parallel Magic.

Stuff like that but the thing that was the shocker is there was a glitch in my MP stats, ordinarily every hero summoned is a power level of thirty and that is gotten from adding their stats from attack, defense, MP, strength, speed and IQ. All of that is five for each at the beginning making them that power level of thirty, but for some reason my MP is 20,000-meaning it is maxed out- but it still reads level zero for my MP and my power level is still thirty, this means I have a low chance of running out of MP at my beginning stage which sucks and I can still developed it. Soon after I met with the others and told them about it before we headed back.

When we got to the mansion, I headed straight to my room to get some rest but was later on disturbed by Nu, who just dashed into the and pounced on my bed, with her annoying little sister child-like voice all shaky and stuff.

“Great Shinta, Heroes Wild, is coming. They may want to m-me-m-meet you, I’m scared.”

“What?! Who are they? Why are you scared?” I asked getting of my bed.

“That is Alex’s younger sister’s group and our rivals.” She continued agitated

It must be because of me, I mean Aro said something about adventurer’s wanting me join them. There have been others coming today but I guess this are the real problem seeing how sad Nu was. Nu and I went downstairs, it turned out that Elsa already spotted them, well her barrier did.

We all went outside to meet them, they are nine members in the group each one par with Alex’s group the only thing is there is but one problem, the group has seven women and two men. The main problem though is that the leaders of Heroes Wild are both girls, Alexia Band and Charlotte Rice. The conversation started with a little female looking Alex.

“Good day, Master Irashime." she said bowing down. "My name is Alexia Band and the name of our team is Heroes Wild Adventure. We came over to welcome you into Ranzia and to ask is you will like to join our...”

“Alexia, how are things going for your team, didn’t you see me?”

“Elder Brother I am just here to meet Master Irashime not you.”

“How rude, even for me who it is not directed to.”

I could not tell what was happening, but that last statement was from Chelsea whose aura was starting to leak out a bit.

“Either way, Sister Charlotte, would you mind telling us what you want with Shinta?” asked Chelsea calming down.

“Do you not know, little sister? The hero is to work with us, by the divine revelation of the Great goddess of Summons and Seals, Bella.” Said a human girl with a black hair packed into a ponytail which went down to her waist and green eyes, she looked similar to Chelsea if it weren’t for the difference in hair colour and eyes.

“Her revelation said the hero shall join the party which has members with hero’s blood.” Interjected Choji smiling.

“Huh, what do you mean hero’s blood?” I curiously asked

“Shinta, there was a point around two millennia ago, when the three heroes decided to stay and start a life here, Master Harald Band, Master Hillary Rice and Master Phil Cristiano. Along the line some their descendants got into the political system of this kingdom and the Republic of Forth south of here. Master Band and Master Rice’s descendants stayed here while Master Cristiano’s descendants moved to Forth. This makes it so that Alex, Alexia, Charlotte and Chelsea have hero’s blood flowing in them.”

Elsa explained it so casually, it made start to wonder about the causality of this world and what this gods are, first was HJ and now it is Bella, what am I saying this is a fantasy world.

“Either way, will we fight to the death for Our Master Irashime?” said a dragon newt girl, who looked human with a green bob hair and eyes, bringing out two stilettoes.

“Nay, Shade. We will destroy the others with so much power that will be bullying.” Said a tengu girl grinning, with silver hair and wolf like ears, her eyes were golden.

“Lupis, who are you saying you will crush?” retaliated Nu getting angry.

“Ara, looks like my underclass woman is trying to fight me.” Replied Lupis coming towards Nu before patting her head.

“Don’t think you are stronger than me, I have grown since the academy days, I have attained above level seventy you know.” She said while removing Lupis’ hand and running behind me. If you ask me this too much to handle.

What about a competition where no blood needs to be shed, that would be a…

“Okay then, I will need to be in good health to fight M.A.Y right?”

“Yes, that is true.” All fifteen of them replied in unison.

“Then let us have a cook off, Typhoon’s Chef versus Wild’s Chef, the winner is the team I will stay in. prepare any cuisine you want.” I said with a wide grin, I guess being a main character is not all that bad, I just hope Glass will pull this off.

“Well then Megan, shall we.”

“Yes Glass, let the best cook win Sir Hero’s taste buds and he himself for our team.” Replied a dryad.

With that they both dashed to the kitchen I just hope this won’t be chaos, luckily Alex’s mansion had three kitchens and I don’t know why.

At dusk was when the two were done, considering we started three hours after noon I am not surprised. So what did they create or make well…ramen was made by Glass while Megan made udon , both added a lot to it that is I start to mention I won’t finish, but they said that is just the start that they are almost done with what they want to create. The udon and ramen was good but what was next was amazing, they made curry. According to them they made some changes and added some of their worlds spices. The way the tasting went is that I will taste or eat which ever context one chooses, and write down the score before taking a portion to forget the taste of the first before taking the next and I did it four times including the first tasting.

“Well then now I will state the results.”

For some reason there was a moment of silence and Lupis and Nu where holding their hands, can’t blame them there must be a price for whoever is with the hero.

“Typhoon with a score of thirty five and Wild with a score of thirty three, meaning I will be with Typhoon.” I finished before sighing.

Alex and the others were happy, while Alexia’s group were not too happy, but they promised to try again. With that we managed to avert an all-out war between the two rival teams of nothing less than a level of seventy and a power level of seventy thousand or so. That marked my first day in the role of being a hero and I can only say it will get more chaotic from here, I think to myself from the balcony of my room, that said I need to find a way to stop Nu from entering my room, I said looking at my bed where Nu is laying on sleeping lazily like a…no, that’s not something I should say.

The next day, was the day to get ready with my sword training, magic and my order for a sword, Alex said he was going to help me with it and Chelsea said she will educate me on the world and how it works. With that thought in mind I managed to get Nu to her room and dumped myself mine.
