Chapter 17:
Sacrifice of the 100
To my dear readers,
Thank you so much for staying with me throughout the journey of this story, through 16 chapters and more twists than I ever expected. I want to be honest with you: I’ve paused writing for the past five months, not because I lost passion, but because I felt the story wasn’t fully becoming what it was meant to be.
It began as part of a competition, and back then, I had to work within certain limits: time, format, expectations. While that gave it a starting point, I’ve realized that what I truly want to create goes beyond those boundaries. I’ve spent these months reflecting deeply on the world I want to build, the characters I want to explore, and the heart of the story I’m meant to tell.
And now, I’m ready to move forward.
Yes, the story will continue.
But first, I’ll be revising and reshaping what’s already here aligning the existing chapters with the vision I now hold. It’s important to me that everything fits together, that the foundation is strong, and that the world feels real and alive.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and for caring about these characters as much as I do. I promise to give this story the care and dedication it deserves.
The next chapter is coming.
And this time, it’s going to be exactly the story I was meant to write.
With gratitude,
Hexogram
