A Dismal Future…

Two years since the whole world was put into chaos, the vast majority of the human population is now gone. Countries and even some continents were completely ablaze; destruction was all that was left……

A man in a black cloak walked through one of the fiery cities during the night. He passed by crumbling buildings, people’s cries, and the experiments that silenced them. He raised his right hand, then began scraping his claws against a wall until turning the corner to an alleyway. There, he could hear the sound of a woman and child whimpering, cowering at the end of the alley. As the man walked closer, he soon stopped and stared down at the two, his crimson eyes shining through the dark. It was a mother and her son, the two holding each other tightly. For a split moment, the man’s expression changed from cold and emotionless to an almost regretful look. He closed his eyes, and that regret turned into anger as he opened them again. Once crimson red, they were now combined with a bright yellow, giving the look of blazing flames. He raised his right hand and lunged at the two, blood splattering against a wall.

The man walked out of the alley, continuing his walk through the city. Who was this horrible monster? He who caused all this death and destruction? Experiment 9320: Ferral.
