Chapter 1:
Hillary's I Spy School Adventure
Hillary Magniora was eight years old. So one morning, Hillary woke up at seven o'clock and got up out of the bed. She ate a bowl of Frosted Cheerios and an apple and drank a glass of milk for breakfast, she brushed her teeth, she did her hair, she got dressed and she put her lunchbox, her pencil case, her journal, her binder, her calculator and her Riddle Solver Ray 3,000 in her backpack and got ready to go as she went outside to wait for the schoolbus. Then, it was time. The schoolbus came and got on board on it. And when she began riding on the bus in the third seat of the bus, there was another boy named Finnegan Geartosmith, who was seven years ago and a little brother of Victor Geartosmith, sitting in the fourth seat of the bus. He said to Hillary, "I have some good news, Hillary." "Really?" said Hillary. "What is it?" "Ever since you solved riddles with your Riddle Solver Ray 3,000 at preschool three years ago," said Finnegan. "Here's the new invention my big brother built for you, the Electrochemical Object Finder 2,000!" And then he explained to her, "It works on finding objects as missing pieces at ingredients for machines, pictures, blanks to fill in the part of messages and anything to make and fix up. So you can use it to find objects to fix and make anything!" "Cool!" said Hillary. "Thank you!" So Finnegan gave Hillary an Electrochemical Object Finder 2,000. And Hillary put it in her backpack along with her Riddle Solver Ray 3,000. And when the bus stopped at the front of the school, Hillary got off the bus and went on her way to Classroom 14, feeling excited to use her Riddle Solver Ray 3,000 to find hidden objects and solve riddles and her Electrochemical Object Finder 2,000 to find objects and fix and create unusual things.
