Chapter 6:
The ones under the bed
If you see a plastic jack o' lantern laying about in your room, it might be the same one you used or still use for trick or treating. But if you have no such thing or know the one you have is not in your room, what you see is probably the rattling plastic Jack O' Lantern. True to it's name, it rattles around the candy inside of it until it is noticed. Then, it begins glowing and floats through the air before disappearing.
The candy in it isn't real, nor can it fall out. There are also a few different color variations of this critter such as orange, green, yellow, purple, blue, black, and pink. There might even be more out there. Though normally rare, they tend to become a common occurrence during the final 3 months of the year. They are harmless, and can appear in groups, making for a calming light show if you can spot them all at once.
