Chapter 9: The Knowledge Test

Next was the Knowledge Test. The remaining candidates were split into teams of four. Mateo, Ofurd, Kamil, and I became Team 11.

We were given 1,000 questions, split evenly among us. Mateo tackled calculations, Ofurd memorized complex codes, Kamil and I handled logic and reasoning. Hours turned into days. My brain felt like it might catch fire, but the thrill of working together kept me going.

It became clear: survival in this world required cooperation. Each team member’s strengths were essential. By combining our abilities, we had a chance.
