Chapter 29:
The Unmade God's Requiem
Act I — The Page That Should Not Exist
Hall of Eternal Records — the library of every soul’s fate
Arch-Librarian Isterion, High Deity of Records, updates routine archives.
• Light is steady blue, the color of lawful memory
Then—
A violet-gold fracture sliced across the Chronicle Grid.
Every archive lantern flickers.
Every quill pauses.
Every soul-tome trembles — as if afraid.
And then:
A whisper of a page turning itself
Isterion freezes.
Isterion (whispered):
“Unauthorized… archival?”
A lone tome materializes from light:
Kenzaki - instructor of Crown Academy
Status: UNDEFINED
Record Type: Shelved
Cause: Null Coordinate — impossible
Next Stage: ???
A soul not alive.
Not dead.
Not lost.
Rejected by both Heaven and Abyss.
The system tries to auto-correct — fails.
ALERT : Index Violation
Crown Oath Authority: NOT DETECTED
Classification: A-Ethereal Threat
Reality author unknown.
Quills explode into sparks.
Isterion’s voice cracked—
gods do not crack.
Records staff panic — silently. Godly librarians don’t scream; they sip terror like tea.
Isterion activates highest-authority beacon:
“Summon the Archivist Council.
Heaven has been rewritten... by no one.”
Act II — The Spirit Wardens Stir
Spirit Wardens Sanctum - where all passing souls are counted
Crownkeeper Shion Arakami feels a pull through the Lantern of Souls (his relic).
It flares blue → violet → gold → static
Spiritual signatures of the 20 Souls:
— No battlefield residue
— No final emotion residue
— No spiritual chain signatures
— No ascension record
— No abyssal corruption
Their chains of fate are missing links.
Shion:
“No soul leaves without passing me.
Then how did they vanish?”
He tightened his grip.
Shion’s normal calm fractures.
His lieutenant Haru checks the field logs:
Haru: “There are no traces, Commander.
It’s as if they were never—”
Shion (cutting him off, shaken):
“Who dares… write fate in silence?”
He raises the Lantern — but its flame bends away, as if afraid of the truth.
Act III — The Council’s Panic Behind Closed Doors
High deity council Emergency Chamber — Only top gods allowed
Whispers had already run through the halls:
Only God King, Archangels, Ministers, and Crownkeepers may enter.
Ayaka Sazanami (Iron Concord).
Solmar Veyne (Aegis of the Sun).
Shion Arakami (Spirit Wardens).
Minister of Records.
And in shadow — Minister Arval, silent.
System whispers spread like infection:
Twenty missing souls from all Twelve Ledgers.
Isterion slams the report:
“Heaven’s core archive altered…
by a force we cannot detect.”
Ayaka clenches her silver scales.
They twitch — memory glitching.
Solmar mutters:
“When Heaven blinks… who is blinking?”
Shion steps forward — conflicted.
“Kenzaki was one of mine.
A Crown Academy instructor.
Last assigned to Earth — missing mortal souls.
No demon traces found. Mission failed.
But patrolling continued.
Now… this.
Something connects the erasures.”
Ayaka:
“Removed by what?”
Shion:
“Not what.
Who.”
Arval watches —
expression unreadable.
Too calm.
Too knowing.
The Council falls into silent accusation.
Isterion writes one deadly order:
Containment Protocol Z-Resonant
— Monitor all future anomalies
— Prevent divine overreach
— No public knowledge
The room breathes fear.
Act IV — The Silent Commander
Unknown facility — Silent Phantoms HQ (The unseen Legion)
The Commander stands before a mirror where no reflection appears.
From unknown - screens pulse :
🞩 Team Phantom-022: Connection Severed
🞩 Afterlife Trace: None
🞩 Conscious Echo: Null
🞩 Memory Record: Deleted
🞩 Ledger: Overwritten
🛈 Status → Signal Not Found
🛈 Tracing…
He touched the empty mirror—
Even his reflection refused to appear.
A smirk cut through the dark.
His voice - cold delight
his (quiet grin):
“Erased?
Not erased… claimed.”
He slid his mask into place.
"A fractured crown-sigil glowed faintly over his heart — the Eleventh Crown Oath Relic’s mark, hidden from Heaven’s records.
The brand of the Silent Phantoms’ true commander."
“Spectre Protocol.
If a new Reaper walks Heaven,
I will greet him first.”
Not a word to Minister Arval.
Silence answers only to silence.
Act V — Birth of a Law
Aether’s POV — Law rewriting itself
A new divine rule crystallized:
Lex Memoria — Chronicle Seal
Regret rewrites oblivion into remembrance.
A law not born from the God King.
Not sanctioned by the Crystal Heart.
Not from the Records.
But from a soul strong enough to change consequence.
A law born from mercy — not power.
Born of Choice
The Universe Whispered:
“A future cannot be rewritten…
unless the author lives.”
A cracked prophecy page glimmered:
“Child of Light and Song…
He shall write what gods dare not.”
Shion’s Lantern trembled —
something about this new resonance felt close… familiar… dangerous.
A cracked page of prophecy glows:
“Creator can author unapproved chapters.”
When silence is broken -
The Prince will rewrites Heaven, the quills of gods shake.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
✦ New Act I — Earth-101 : Silent Starfall in Shibuya
Earth-101 — Tokyo
Late night. Heavy rain.
Neon reflections drowned in puddles.
Streetlights flickered, buzzing like insects trapped in glass.
Five teenagers — a self-made “urban exploration crew”
filming paranormal content for their underground channel:
Group Name : Black Syndicate
(exposing demons, government cover-ups, unexplained vanishings.)
• Rai — leader, taekwondo fighter, records everything on his phone
• Sakuya — twin sister, analytical but anxious
• Minoru — twin brother, camera addict, loud bravado & zero courage
• Juno — techie, hacked cheap EMF detectors
• Daisuke — ex-gang boy, ACTS tough, secretly terrified
Juno’s scanner glitched:
⚠ UNIDENTIFIED ENTITY
Daisuke:
“Junk machine. Or ghosts are real. Cool either way.”
Minoru squinted through his camera lens at the dark alley ahead.
Wet concrete. No movement.
Just rain pounding like panic on rooftops.
—
Then—a scream.
A girl in a school uniform sprinted barefoot, splashing through rain.
“HELP!!!”
Behind her:
A creature — wrong —
bones forming chains, mouth too wide,
eyes hollow but burning black flame.
Name flickered across Juno’s scanner:
(§§∆∆§§) - unknown name his scanner :
(Mør’Gahl — Soul-Eater)
Minoru froze.
Sakuya grabbed him, shaking:
Sakuya:
“Move! MOVE!”
But fear is sticky.
Minoru’s camera nearly slipped from shaking hands.
He came to record monsters —
not be eaten by one.
Daisuke whispered a prayer to a god he didn’t believe in.
—
Dead end.
The girl collapsed.
Demon crawling… savoring terror.
She shut her eyes, waiting to die.
—
A shadow landed in front of her.
Black clothes soaked.
No umbrella.
No fear.
To her — a stranger with a sturdy metal stick.
To the beast — a celestial executioner.
The baton unfolded —
becoming a blade of compacted starlight.
One step.
Two moves.
Zero sound.
The monster dissolved into raining pixels.
“You’re safe now.”
She trembled:
“Th-thank you…”
He vanished as if rain erased him.
—
But more demons emerged — flanking from different streets.
Panic exploded.
The teens scattered.
Juno stumbled — shrieked —
demon lunged —
glitched out of existence mid-air.
Sakuya slipped —
sudden force yanked her up onto a rooftop —
no savior visible.
Minoru tripped behind a dumpster —
his camera recording wildly —
a streak of starlight shredded a demon above him.
Daisuke felt claws behind his skull —
heard a blade cut reality —
turned —
nothing but raining stars.
—
Rai ran until he hit an empty intersection —
knees buckling.
A cold wind brushed his cheek.
A low voice:
“Move.”
Rai spun —
no one there —
just his phone camera glitching in violet static.
The same anomaly from the Heaven archive fracture.
Rai (gasping):
“Someone… or something… is protecting us.”
Minoru (yelling):
“That’s the scary part!!”
They regrouped — barely breathing —
alive only because something unseen chose it.
Juno:
“That wasn’t human…”
Rai stared at his glitched phone footage:
“We just caught proof.”
Minoru:
“Proof of WHAT???”
Rai:
“That something god-level is killing demons.”
Daisuke:
“Why does that sound worse than demons?!”
—
Above — perched on a neon billboard —
a figure watched.
Lightning lit only a grin.
“Mortals recording gods…
Adorable.”
Then darkness.
