Ramble of the Week #7 (Negative Post - Nintendo)

I don't really want to talk about it, but I had to. I just can't.

After seeing Sakurai reveal more info about Kirby Air Ride, I just had to make a chapter dedicated to Nintendo.

Let's start with the obvious. NO! I don't need Switch 2, because, my god, it's expensive as heck. I will consider buying one if they reduce the cost, but for now, nah.

Since the Switch 2 was released, there are more L than W. Like, you can even count W with your finger, it's that low.

I have to give them credit, though; they can still gather around fanatic fans around the world. It's pathetic, my god.

Their "biggest" game, Mario Kart World, is now a lone desert. The low volume of people queuing in the lobby forced the player to play with just bots.
No, I'm not joking. Just watch people on YouTube and see it for yourself.

Then DK Bananza...
Okay, this one gets a pass, but let's be real here, please don't buy the DLC. That DLC is literally the same scam done by THQ when they released the Destroy All Humans 2 remake. Did you remember that?
They make DLC... but inside that DLC is just challenges around all of the stages. They literally add nothing new and charge you money.

Same as Bananza, but worse.
You see, I gave it to THQ. They know it wasn't worth 20 dollars; heck, it should be free. But Nintendo? Yup, they charge you 20 dollars. They nuts!

Then they had the gall to announce Pokémon Legend Z-A with DLC before they had even released it. Who in the world with a sane brain would do that?

I'm not joking, man. Even ZackScott and Wolfy liked the game. They got blinded by Nintendo's greed.

Bear in mind! Zack and Cam don't get blind when it comes to PvZ. Zack isn't that interested in playing Replanted all the way through, but he got sponsored. No, I'm not joking. He even criticized PvZ 3: Evolved. Cam called Replanted out when the trailer released. He was being judgmental towards it and really wanted this game to be successful. Even when he played PvZ 3: Evolved, he was stern about his criticisms of that game.

Both of them know what they were talking about when it comes to those things, but Pokémon? No, they blindly consume it. Watching them just enjoy the game with their eyes turned off from the obvious bad quality of the game hurts me.

Look, I get it. I looked like a hater, I'm sorry. I am indeed a Digimon fan, not Pokémon fan. But as a Digimon fan, I also wanted Pokémon to be successful with their best quality game. I've been trash-talking on Pokémon for their generic bad storytelling for a couple of years, and I stand by it. But I still praised their creativity on their monster name. Digimon could never do that!

Like, come on, GameFreak! Nintendo! Why do you do this to your own fan? It's so sad to see fans blindly consuming this garbage game, alright. They deserve better, I really think so.

I'm finally finished watching the most boring 6-hour video about it. 😂

I know, I'm weird. I should've just moved on and done something else than waste my precious 6 hours to just watch someone play a boring game.
I don't even consider the game... "game".

My review of it? Suck dick! Don't waste your 10 dollars on it, just spend it somewhere else.
By somewhere, I mean like Kirby Air Riders! Heh!

Beyond all of that, there is just one better thing in this fiasco, and that is Kirby Air Riders.

I just watched the second direct for the game and holy moly, did Sakurai just surpass my expectations.
I meant it! It felt like he was the only genuine game dev left in the company. He showcased his game and even showed himself playing it. It is a miracle that he hasn't even gotten fired yet due to the corporate mindset in the industry.

I'm glad he is having fun making the game. I wished him the best, man. He keeps this console going strong. No joke.
