Chapter 14:

The Legend Of Black Knight

It was just a day like no other, all races lived at peace with each other, but what most did not know, what had been hidden from them by their leaders, a terrible truth, the incident of humans mistreating or severing relations with other races.

At first isolated incidents, but after a while, the spark of it all began, with a sword a war arose. It's been more than two decades, nobody knows how the greatest capital of the other races fell, yet they know of the grudge that was left to them, against those who took everything from them.

The only way to escape the war was still to leave the continent, but for races that no longer had anywhere to go, the humans closed the harbor, making those who didn't become prisoners.

Those who were not taken as slaves died out of the blue, as those who remained, no one knew how far human cruelty could go.

With their hatred greater than ever, the dark elves simply stopped trying to be friends with humans.

A greater current of hatred was generated from there, making them almost the first extinct race on this continent, so those who could try to fight for the rest to flee in the hope of someday getting out of these lands.

Gileon, despite the wishes of his superiors, gathered four other elves who would help him in a rescue of dark elves who would be taken to be executed, spending all the money he had to gather information on where the slaves would be taken and to find the one who would be the black devil he had heard of.

And here he was now, in the middle of an escape running almost all night, they ran into a merchant's cart, which could serve as an advantage in the escape, he didn't think twice and killed the human he was driving.

But that other human, not only was a friend of a daemon but also not normal, Gileon didn't know if what the human will use would be some kind of magic, but he had never felt something like that, an indescribable fear took him at that moment, he sure he had provoked those who shouldn't.

The night kept getting worse for them, who were now fleeing the horsemen chasing them from the city, even the woods wouldn't stop them long enough, it was almost the end of the line for them, but at least Gileon could buy time, it was that's what he thought, with ten fighters still in hand, the soldiers must have been at most thirty.

“Come on, keep running, don't stop!”

Stepping away from the other elves, Gileon ran to the side with the bow in hand, he nocked an arrow and fired, hitting directly the gap between the breastplate and the helmet, knocking one of the soldiers down.

Two riders saw their companion fall, in fright they stopped, but an arrow flew through the hole in the eye that was in the helmet, making another rider fall.

Seeing where the arrow came, the knight shook his horse and with a sword, in hand, he ran but he didn't realize that the enemy was already expecting this action, so without even noticing, a shadow of something coming fast hit his helmet as well as your partner.

With the rider's body falling, the dark elf jumped onto the horse's back, without the enemy noticing he had hidden in a tree and then climbed into it. Now on horseback, the elf followed his fight, with only seven arrows remaining, there was still a space between them and the elves, so a plan came to his mind, making the horse run, he shot an arrow directly at the leader, but to his surprise, his arrow stopped in midair.

Incredulous, he fired another one, but the same thing happened, before he knew it, four horsemen were heading towards him, two of them fired arrows.

The elf jumped off his horse and so dodged, while rolling on the ground a spear came towards him, throwing himself to the side he dodged, and soon after, a sword grazed his cheek, and before he could even get up, an arrow hit his shoulder.

“AAAAAH DAMN HUMANS!” Teeth grinding in rage, the elf rose, hands shaking, his leg burning with pain, no longer able to keep his arrow in the right position.

He saw his vision suddenly go dark, but it wasn't dark from someone who passed out or died, but from a dark fog, not knowing what was happening, he felt the same sensation as when he faced the human boy, the fear deepened into his body and dominated it.

"Hey! HEY! WAIT I CAN… AAAAAAAAAAH!"

"WHAT'S GOING ON, NO, STOOP!!!"

Without understanding what was happening, suddenly the soldiers began to scream as if they were begging for their lives until Gileon saw a body fly towards him, it was one of the soldiers, who were now completely erased.

⊛⊛⊛

The cruelty that humans had and exhibited, was something that Satoru already knew whether for better or worse, he knew very well that they were a race to which the stranger would be seen as evil eyes, perhaps not by all, but in their great most of the time, unfortunately, that was the truth.

But the incident with Hendrick made something inside him show itself, he didn't even notice, but the Void stirred, after 3 years without showing any sign of will, he almost didn't show his true nature, something Satoru didn't like, however, inside himself it didn't seem like a bad idea, in his subconscious that dangerous idea was wandering.

If not for the knights to interrupt, something terrible would have happened. Satoru knew it was a time bomb, if he didn't control his emotions properly, the worst could happen, so he didn't even bother to save the dark elves.

However, Hilda, whom he came to trust after everything she did, managed to calm down showing what Satoru was becoming, it's true he didn't want to save those who caused the death of an innocent, but not everyone was guilty.

The guilt began to gnaw, Satoru so when Hilda told him to do it, he accepted, in the end, he couldn't run away from who he was.

As soon as he reached the part of the forest where the elves went, he released the ability that gave him the fame he has now, a kind of mist began to come out of his body, black in color, it was perfect ability to camouflage himself in the night.

Releasing more and more making it spread through the area, he then started walking, with his sword in hand, Satoru didn't like killing humans, for him that was only a last resort.

Ahead, sounds of a fight going on, this was the first place Satoru went to, seeing a fallen black elf, Satoru entered the fog and made it cover the guards who were instantly startled.

Everyone was on top of their horses, Satoru pulled as close as he looked terrified, dropping his spear at the same time.

"Hey! HEY! WAIT I PO… AAAAAAAAAAH!"

The guard tried to beg, but before he knew it, a punch hit him squarely and he passed out.

"WHAT'S GOING ON, NO, STOP PLEASE!!!"

Moving towards the other, who was using a sword, Satoru caught him and twisted his arm right away, throwing him into a tree making the guard fall in a faint.

The two, who were now terrified by the screams of their companions, tried to turn their horses to run away, but they couldn't.

The fog had a strange ability to make animals still, they were aware but they just stayed still, no matter what happened, they didn't move.

Turning the greatsword into two tentacles, Satoru captured the archers standing up and then slamming them to the ground, causing them to pass out instantly. He didn't worry about the dark elf standing there, following his way the other elves were in a dangerous situation the two hooded ones who were now wounded couldn't do much.

Raising the sword, Satoru began to twirl it, faster and faster, a great amount of mist began to accumulate, so he held the sword and cut the air towards the remaining soldiers, causing the mist to cover them in the same instant.

"AAAAAAAAAAAH"

"LET ME GO, AAAAAAAAHHHHH"

The soldiers who were previously prepared to shoot the elves were blind not knowing where to aim until two screams were heard simultaneously, and two bodies fell unconscious, agitated chaos spread through the soldiers.

Then more screams echoed and bodies fell, with no more options some soldiers got off their horses and ran away, but suddenly disappeared in the mist as they were hit by a giant club.

"Great Whirlwind!"

Satoru kept to the fog, slowly knocking out the soldiers until suddenly a gust of wind formed a small cyclone that exploded and dispersed most of the fog.

Among the soldiers, an old man was wearing a dark red tunic. Wind magic, unfortunately, the fog that Satoru used was very weak, so the magic swept it almost entirely, in the past Satoru covered kilometers with fog, but the animals that lived in the region started to behave strangely and do things that even made Hilda uneasy about how it was possible, so he never used anything on that scale of power again.

The elves who were there were shocked to see the human form before and beside him the body of three soldiers, except for the other six who were lying further away.

There were 14 soldiers left in total, among them a mage, four archers, six soldiers with swords, two with spears, and lastly the leader wearing armor with gold ornaments, probably someone of high rank.

"A human helping the lesser races is not ashamed of his betrayal."

It was the magician who spoke, inside Satoru was burning with rage, he didn't like the things he heard, but outside he remained calm and expressionless.

With the greatsword being held in one hand, he swung it into the air and got into a fighting stance while he waited.

"Don't stand still, you softies, kill him!"

Raising his sword, the leader of the knights shouted.

Those who used a bow stood in front of everyone and shot, four arrows seemed to hit the target when they reached the target, he brandished the sword, and the shock generated by his force, made the arrows shatter.

In shock at what they had just witnessed, the knights made their horses walk, the two spearmen went first, however, they did not expect the figure to run towards them and leap.

With a horizontal movement, Satoru's sword hit one of the knights, but it didn't stop only with that, the hit knight was dragged and thrown thus hitting the other spearman who was more to the side.

Unable to wait any longer, all six soldiers with swords got off their horses, as they realized that nothing would do, little by little they surrounded the enemy closing it in a wheel.

The two archers behind were just waiting for an opportunity to attack, which showed when the first knight rushed to attack.

Seeing what his enemy intended, Satoru pointed the blade of his sword in the direction of the sword-knight that would attack him, the blade turned into two tentacles that pulled him, and then the young man used the trapped knight as a shield, making One of the arrows hit the armor and fell, while the other went through the iron and hit the flesh, making the knight scream.

Seeing that two other gentlemen ran towards him, Satoru caught the one he was holding and kicked him in the chest making him fly towards his companion thus knocking him down.

As for the other one coming in the opposite direction, with the greatsword redone, Satoru lowered his body making the enemy miss the attack, with his left hand Satoru raised his body hitting an uppercut on the enemy making him rise in the air, then immediately rotate the greatsword in the right hand and hitting a full blow to the belly making his body bounce on the ground when he fell.

But two arrows flew towards him, but Satoru ran towards one of the soldiers who tried to defend himself, however, the greatsword got the better of him, making him face the same fate as his companions.

The last soldier dropped his sword and surrendered, he had no chance when he was in a group let alone now. As the archers tried to prepare another shot, the sword split, and they were seized by tentacles, being lifted into the air.

Afraid that the monster would approach, the magician began to conjure a ball of fire, until his body was covered by a shadow one of the archers had his body thrown, hitting him squarely.

Not only the mage, but another person also fell, it was the officer commanding the knights when they realized that the monster they feared was walking towards them.

"Pillar of Flames!"

In desperation, the mage began to summon flames around his hand, in the last act he pointed towards the enemy. Like a flamethrower, Satoru saw that tongue of fire go towards him, but he didn't fear, transforming his weapon into a shield just like that of the riot police.

Continuing to walk, it didn't take long for the magic to end, the wizard incredulous at what he had just seen, could no longer tell if the one in front of him was human.

"W-what are you?!" stammered the scared mage.

"It's don't care to you…"

Satoru raised the shield as high as he could, not even the mage's terrified scream stopped him, so the earth shook as the object hit the human's body.

The general looking at the scene, got up and ran, afraid of what might happen he didn't even bother to abandon his allies, his life was worth more.

Satoru however was in no hurry, in his hand, the black goo formed an arrow, but as he aimed, he realized that it was already over.

Hilda walked in as she tucked the sword into its scabbard, then the noise of the knight leader's body fell to the ground.

"Wasn't the arrangement to wait?"

Satoru putting the sword away asked Hilda.

“Just look around, that's the answer."

The dark elf who watched from afar, Gileon, gulped, if the human in front of him had wanted to, they would all have died, afraid of what might happen, he walked to where Satoru was, when everyone noticed him, he bent down on the ground and begged.

"Please, if you have to kill anyone, let it be me."
