Call to Action

The Liberation Army defeated the enemies and recruited strong allies. They moved back to the main fortress they conquered to make plans. Elias, Jeod, Keima, and Prescott all walking into the main hall of the fort.

Elias said, "Now that we've settled matter here... we move to rescue Lily. Time grows short."

Jeod replied, "Indeed. It's more than evident, Dessel had some grand purpose in kidnapping the priestess. Delivering her from his bloodied claws may strike a heavy blow to the heart of his aims."

Keima spoke up, "Perhaps, but this is far sooner than we had planned. Our allies remain scattered through every realm of Terra. Casting the gauntlet at Liam's feet would only send us all to an early grave."

The large man Prescott chimed in, "If I may add. There are those among us Dessel's adherents who willfully chose o betray the Emperor those long years ago. I fear that we have no hope of avoiding conflict with such base traitors."

Elias replied, "It would seem we'll need to bolster our ranks. We will not be able to ask the High Council for help. They are in no position to send aid."

Jeod spoke, "Your Highness. Upon all the years I ushered you away to safety. I labored tirelessly to build a foundation with the Council, which the Liberation Army can take hold. I have seen great suffering in the lands, 'tis true. And yet greater resentment harbored by the oppressed and downtrodden. I have every faith such fierce emotion will spur them to join our cause."

The ranger paused and took a step toward the Elias, Then said softly, "My Prince. Fly your crest 'cross the banner of the Liberation. Spearhead the rebellion against the Lycan traitor, and you will surely find kindred spirits among the High Council ready to aid in your name."

Elias replied, "Then I will do just that. I only ask that you be the crutch I may lean on, when the perils of war grow too great to bear alone."

Prince Elias Longshanks moved to the table with Jeod and the others. And put together a banner or a coat of arms to fly as the Liberation Army.

It is a purple design with a crest of double headed eagle spreading its wings wide and 2 white horses on each side of the emblem standing on its hind legs, looking like they are holding up the emblem of the double headed eagle.

The Liberation Army began to increase in size as it had new land they cut out inside the enemy Cornelian Empire. The soldiers were necessary to defend the people and the supplies and resources for the Army.

Prince Elias built up weapons and small wealth from the victory and scavenging the region for resources. Then he invested his earnings into the Ourvir Harbor that he first made land fall.

Prince Elias ath his fort was in conversation with Piper said, "I always knew proper equipment was vital, but truly does impact everything. Thank you, Piper.

Piper replied, "Oh we're not stopping there. Come on, let's head to the harbor and buy ourselves something nice."

They walked over to the town of Ourvir Harbor, Piper said, "And here we are, Your Majesty. This town has both an armorer and a provisioner for all your purchasing needs."

Elias with thanks said, "I'll be sure to make good use of them then. Thank you again."

That is when a town girl came up and said to Prince Elias, "Oh, kind ser... Thank you for saving us." as well as others in a small gathering heap praise and joy in the prince's name.

After the makeshift celebration, Elias strolled out of town and found Loid and went over to talk to him. Loid greeted Elias, then anxiously said, "Looks like we've got our gear sorted. Now c'mon, Lily's waiting for us!"

Keima and Jeod came up to the party. Keima said, "May I have a word, my prince? We've received a report that Liam has situated himself in a large city in the easter reaches of Cornelia Empire. Our compatriot Melvin lies in wait not far from there. He awaits our arrival with great anticipation."

Jeod chimed in, "I've readied a map and marked our destination, Your Highness. As for the route we take to reach it. I shall leave that decision in your capable hands."

Jeod continued, "I've also complied an archive of the intel we possess at present. You may peruse it at your leisure. Your Highness... Given our current force of arms, mounting a rescue will likely prove an immense challenge. I suggest we first focus on liberating the people of this region, weakening Cornelia's forces, and increasing our renown. The greater fame our cause bears through the continent, the easier it will be to enlist others to our aid."

Prince Elias thought on it and decided based on quick glance of the intel. "We shall march south, through the swamps to get to the walled city of Jebus. Where we will stop the traitor's goals and rescue Lily."

The Liberation Army sets forth and by the command of the prince. Ranger Jeod was standing near the prince and passes his recommendations based on what the intel they have and the manpower the army contains.

To the south, there were bandits raiding the town near the coast. As the towns watch arm themselves and defend their city from the bandits. A soldier grumbled, "Curse these Red Drake scum!"

Then 2 warriors nearby are slained by the Red Drake bandits. Arrows and blades come and fell many others, The current soldier panics at being surrounded, and one of the bandits speaks, "You s'posed to be the town guard? Heh, sorriest sight I ever seen. Now go on and run home if y'know what's good for ya."

The soldier saw the demi human and noted that the talking bandit must be the leader. He definitely was a demi human, probably lizard type. Since the soldier was defending the town, he said, "As if I'd ever cede to vulgar bandits such as you. The Father shall strike you down for your sins!"

The demi human bandit leader replied, "Not today, he won't. But I'll let ya take that up with 'im yourself. Me. I've had enough divine judgment to last a lifetime."

Then a bandit that sneak in behind cleaved an axe into the soldiers back. The bandit leader said, "YOu know the drill boys. Grab anythin' that's not nailed to the floorboards." as the demi human laughed at the dead soldiers that pathetically tried to stop them.

The bandits were seen outside of town chasing a mother and little girl. The bandits surrounded them, abruptly a militia arrived led by a man wielding a bow and arrow. He got the attention of these bandits, saying, "Over here!" and nailing his target with arrow right between the eyes of the bandits. As the militia swept in and bandits start to fall in this ambush. They fled back to the town for their safety.

The bowman approached the mother and daughter and asked, "You all right?" and the mother replied, "I ... I believe so, yes."

The bowman voiced his frustration, "Ugh. I didn't think the Red Drake had gotten this far." Which prompted the mother to ask, "If I may, ser. Who are you?"

The bowman identified himself, "Name's Grayson, with the Aether militia. I've been tracking these bandits for a while now, and this is where it's led me. Now go get somewhere safe. I'll handle this."

The mother and daughter fled to the north and were approaching the bridge. And saw many soldiers crossing it coming toward them. Suddenly they saw a shining armor of a chestnut brown haired noble young man and a knight with dark brown hair.

The mother begged for the soldiers assistance. "Oh, sers! You have to help us, please!" and Keima asked "I have a bad feeling about this. What's happened here?"

The mother replied, "It was a pack of bandits. Raided our village in the middle of the night, ser." and then the little daughter spoke up, "A nice man named Grayson came and saved us... but..." and mother continued, "He bid us flee, then went off to face them all on his own."

Prince Elias said, "That doesn't sound good." and Keima said, "It isn't. Order and justice hold little meaning under the cruel dominion of Cornelia. Your Highness. We'll need to liberate this region if we wish to proceed with any semblance of safety."

Elias said, "Indeed. It would be ill done of us to abandon these people in their darkest hour." and the mother was grateful, "Oh, thank you, sers!"
