When Sophia opened her eyes, she saw Theos — but he was different. His expression, usually calm and bright, was now serious — something rare for him.Dark shadows swirled around his body, and his eyes glowed red, deep and radiant.
Startled, Sophia asked what had happened to him, why he looked so different.Theos, speaking in a calm but resolute tone, simply replied:
— Sophia, rest now. From here on... I’ll finish this.
The moment those words left his lips, he charged at Ceto. The creature unleashed a storm of attacks, but Theos dodged each strike effortlessly. He gripped his sword tightly, and as his energy flared, the blade turned pitch-black.
Now it was his turn to attack.Ceto tried to defend herself, but Theos’s new sword cut through her tentacles as if they were paper. He was faster, sharper, and stronger than ever — his instincts heightened by that mysterious power.
Enraged, Ceto raised her strength even further, her attacks becoming faster and more ferocious.Theos managed to keep up for a while, but a sudden strike caught him in the chest, tearing through his flesh. Before anyone could react, the wound healed instantly.
No one around could understand what was happening to Theos — not even Sophia or Athena.Only Kael stood silent, eyes narrowed, as if he had already suspected something about the boy.
The battle raged on, violent and unrelenting.Getting close to Ceto was nearly impossible — her attacks came from every direction.
— Impressive, boy, — Ceto mocked. — You’ve grown stronger with that strange power. But you’re slowing down... It’s obvious you can’t handle it yet.
And she was right.Theos’s movements were getting heavier, his breathing ragged. His mysterious power was fading fast.Ceto took the chance to strike again — this time, with full force. Her attack sent Theos flying across the ground. He crashed violently, blood spilling from his mouth.
— Hahaha! I told you, boy! You’re not used to that power. But I’ll give you credit — you lasted longer than I thought.Now... it’s time to die. — Ceto grinned.
Theos tried to stand, frustration burning in his chest. He attempted to summon that same power again — but nothing happened.
— Damn it... — he muttered, fists trembling. — What was the point of all that training with Master Kael...? Sophia... Icarus... Master Kael... Mom...
Then, he shouted with everything he had:
— I WON’T DIE HERE!!!
Another explosion of black shadows burst around him, engulfing the battlefield. He dodged Ceto’s next strike and countered with blinding speed. But this time, something was different — alongside the dark aura, a silver-white light began to glow from within him.
Both Ceto and Menoetius froze.Kael caught a glimpse of their faces — not anger, not shock... but fear.
— That energy... no, it can’t be... — Menoetius stammered, trembling. — How does this brat have the same power as that monster?! It’s impossible! She’s dead! SHE’S SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!
Kael and Athena exchanged worried looks. It was clear now — both Titans recognized that energy. It belonged to someone from their era, someone they feared above all.
— This power... — Ceto thought, her eyes narrowing. — It’s the same as that traitorous witch... But how could this boy possibly have it?!
Driven by rage, Ceto launched herself at Theos, determined to end him.But Theos was faster now — impossibly fast.He weaved through her attacks with precision and unleashed a storm of slashes, his sword glowing with a mix of darkness and silver light.
Ceto’s aquatic body was torn apart, revealing her core form beneath.Theos gritted his teeth, focusing every last bit of strength into his sword, and with a final, powerful strike —he decapitated her, cutting through her essence completely.
Menoetius stood frozen in disbelief as his sister fell.Theos dropped to his knees, screaming in pain. His body convulsed, and blood spilled from his mouth before he collapsed unconscious.Sophia rushed to him, trying desperately to wake him, but he didn’t move. She could feel it — the power Theos had used had pushed his body beyond its limits. Especially that strange white energy.
Menoetius roared his sister’s name in despair. But suddenly, her aquatic form began to move again —all of Ceto’s remaining energy surged toward him, merging with his body.
His muscles expanded, his aura darkened, and black, blade-like tentacles burst from his back. His kukri transformed into a massive blade of Ceto’s own water — sharper, larger, deadlier.
Now, Menoetius had become something monstrous. When the fusion was complete, he stood still for a moment… then let out a deafening roar. With one swift motion, he destroyed nearly half of Athens, hurling everyone away in the shockwave.
Everyone was knocked unconscious.Everyone... except Athena.
