Chapter 4:

The God Who Got Bored of Paradise

I got reincarnated with a very very very OP skill and become the god of my own world

Chapter 5: The God Who Got Bored of Paradise

A long time had passed since the Great War fought between all nine planets.

The result of that war was that all eight kings of their races declared Paradise as a neutral, unoccupied world—open to anyone. Independent guilds soon formed there, leading trade and exploration. Magic too became a common thing among people.

Deep within the forests of Paradise, surrounded by mountains and a vast ocean to the south, stood a hidden castle.

Inside one of its grand rooms, Ren sat by a wide window, gazing at the garden where his pets played.

Ren sighed restlessly.

“I’ve spent thousands of years in this castle… maybe even millions. Whatever the number—it’s really boring here.”

Aiyumi entered just in time to hear that. She sharpened her voice.

“It’s your job as the god of this world. You should take it seriously.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know… but it’s hard living here all the time,” Ren replied lazily.

Aiyumi placed a pile of records on his desk.

“You hardly stay in the castle anyway. You leave most of the work to us.”

“You know, I was human once too,” Ren said, leaning back in his chair. “When I died, I was only seventeen. So—”

“We hear that every day!” Aiyumi snapped. “Today you’ll do your work—no excuses.”

Ren turned his chair toward the window again, smiling faintly.

“Fine, I’ll do it this time.”

He whispered to himself, “As soon as she leaves, I’ll give it all to Takashi.”

Before leaving, Aiyumi smiled knowingly.

“If you’re thinking of dumping it on Takashi… too bad. He’s not in Paradise right now.”

“What!? That’s not fair!” Ren shouted after her. “I made this world, yet I’m the only one who’s never seen it properly!”

Left alone, Ren glanced at the records Aiyumi had brought.

As he flipped through them, his eyes lit up.

“I want to go outside… maybe to the human planet, or anywhere else…”

Then he suddenly stood up, grinning.

“I found it! A way to go to another planet—and this time, no one can stop me!”

A few days later, when all seven entities had gathered in Paradise, Ren called a meeting.

Seated behind his desk, he said,

“Good, everyone’s here.”

Aiyumi crossed her arms.

“Why did you summon all of us?”

Ren replied impatiently,

“Because none of you are doing your work properly!”

Justar looked confused.

“My lord, what are we lacking?”

Takashi, whispering to Kouryo, said,

“Another one of his escape plans…”

Ren pointed toward a file on his desk.

“Takashi! See that file there?”

Takashi blinked.

“Oh, that? What about it?”

“Inside are reports of several kidnappings on the human planet—and none of you even noticed!”

Takashi scratched his head.

“Oh, those? They’re old cases. Justar and I already handled them.”

“Exactly,” Justar added. “They’ve been resolved.”

Ren froze.

The case is already solved? Then my plan fails before it even begins…

He quickly covered up.

“No, no! You only checked them. But it’s not that simple, so I’ll personally take over this case. For that, I’ll have to—”

“That’s not going to happen,” Aiyumi and Takashi interrupted together.

The others looked confused.

“What’s not going to happen?” one asked.

Takashi sighed.

“He’s saying he wants to go to another planet.”

The remaining five immediately sided with Aiyumi and Takashi.

Ren turned to the corner, dropped to his knees, and muttered sadly,

“I created all of you… yet I’ve never once been allowed to leave Paradise.”

“It’s for your safety,” Aiyumi replied softly.

“I’m not a child,” Ren said without looking up. “And I’m not weak.”

Takashi knew by now that Ren wouldn’t change his mind. With a small smile, he said,

“Fine. You can go—but one of us will accompany you.”

Before Takashi could assign the task, Ren interrupted, grinning,

“No need. You’re coming with me.”

Justar smiled.

“That sounds like a great idea, doesn’t it, Takashi?”

The others agreed, but Takashi didn’t look pleased.

Ren grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the room, ending the meeting.
