Chapter 19:

Releasing A Former 1st Reverend

Blades of the Shattered Chaplets: 4th Novel

Kastor screamed so loud that mana started to expel from his body. The sheer pain of taking in all the witches was causing him to go insane. Kazuki had not ventured back over to him as he needed to deal with an old friend first. However, something else familiar walked towards Kastor.

Lucky’s new persona was emerging in various spots, and having just taken Isamu, Kalbokulus, Naoki, and Welpen, the skeletal figure was making his rounds.

He walked through the vastness of mana step by step without struggle, entering in the tornado of black mana that ensued the entirety of Deceased Paradise.

Reaching out his boney finger, it burned off instantly along with the bones that made his body whole.

He didn’t flinch at all though, pursuing his target and healing his own bones like it was nothing.

He touched Kastor’s right shoulder, causing the tornado of mana to die down, forcing it into his own body as Kastor ventured into the ground with this monster who was proving to be stronger than those of the Dark Mold and swordsmen combined.

Aelig: “Alright! Are you ready, Kyuma? I sense some strong opponents. Do you think you are ready to fight them all?”

Kyuma: “Yes!”

Aelig: “Then come, my young prodigy. There is a beast that is awakening not too far from here. We will fight him later, but for now, let us head to the Lands of Toff!”

Kyuma: “Okay!”

They marched away, not using an Egress Chaplet, but Aelig was right. There was something in the distance not too far away where a beast was awakening…

Michiaki opened the log cabin doors to see Kaibo laying on the floor next to the fire, sleeping his days away. He was drooling on the floor, not even paying attention to Michikai who threw a sword down on the ground.

It was all black with a silver blade that extended outwards at the top, making it look like 2 blades in 1. Blue flames lit up around it and a single fire emblem sat in the middle. The handle was a dark red, like it was made from blood.

Kaibo turned and his eyes lit up like his family had come back to life. “Y-You found it?” he questioned. “How?”

Michiaki: “We’re both 1st Reverends of the Swords. That shouldn’t even be a question.”

Kaibo stood up not knowing what to do, but he smirked and laughed uncontrollably.

Michiaki: “I don’t care what you do, but leave my family out of it. And…Go help the swordsmen. There are some immense powers popping up all over the place. I will not abandon my own family. You are strong enough to protect them all.”

Michiaki left via an Egress Chaplet back to his abode where he would no longer fight. He created a barrier so intense that it rattled the hills they were on. Combining various chaplets, mana, Cryen, and the power of his sword, nobody would break through. He awaited to see if good or evil would win in the upcoming battles…

Kaibo stared at the sword in awe.

His eyes rolled back as if he was drunk, but he was so excited that he couldn’t contain it.

“Help the swordsmen, eh? How about I kill every last thing in my way? Only your family and I will be the ones that remain in this world, Michikai Sen.”

He stabbed the sword in the ground creating a white light that flooded the area, wiping away the cabin and restoring Kaibo’s strength, which was believed to be the strongest of any Reverend. His body lit up in white spots, unlike mana, but similar to what Iki had.

Kaibo: “It took every swordsman, the Devil, and the Dark Mold to seal me. I can’t wait to pay them all a visit, even if it’s in hell.”
