"Long ago, in an era of war and chaos, there existed a sword feared by both gods and demons alike—Kyushiba."
The voice echoed through the darkness.
At first, there was only sound—steel clashing, men screaming, and the heavy breathing of warriors who had long forgotten what mercy meant. Then came the light.
Ash blanketed the battlefield like fallen snow. The air reeked of iron and smoke. Cracked helmets and shattered blades littered the ground, each one whispering the tale of a life lost in vain. Overhead, the sky burned crimson, swirling with clouds that looked like bleeding wounds.
Among the dead stood a lone samurai.
His armor was torn, his body drenched in sweat and blood. In his hand, he held a sword unlike any other—Kyushiba, a pitch-black blade with crimson veins pulsing faintly across its edge, as though it were alive. The air around it warped and shimmered, heavy with power.
Before him towered a monstrous figure—an armored giant, eyes glowing with an inhuman light. The earth trembled beneath its steps.
Without a word, the two clashed.
Steel met steel, sparks erupting like miniature stars. Each strike sent shockwaves through the field, tearing through the broken earth. The monstrous samurai’s blade hissed with dark fire, while Kyushiba screamed with the fury of a thousand souls.
The battle was merciless, their movements too swift for mortal eyes to follow. Dust rose, obscuring their forms, until—
Clang!
A final strike. The ancient samurai’s eyes hardened with resolve.
“You’ll never return,” he whispered, his voice steady despite the blood spilling from his lips. “Not as long as I live.”
He swung Kyushiba with all that remained of his strength. The blade cleaved through the air, through flesh, through evil itself.
The monstrous warrior let out a deafening roar before his body disintegrated into ash, carried away by the wind.
The samurai staggered forward, planting Kyushiba into the ground. The blade trembled violently, releasing a pulse of crimson energy that tore through the battlefield, turning everything within miles into a wasteland of shattered rock.
As silence fell, the warrior turned his back and walked away, vanishing into the mist—leaving Kyushiba buried in the earth.
The world went still.
