Chapter 15:

The Forbidden Archive

The Adventures of the Legendary Hero

The stars above Altropolis pulse with strange rhythm. Kaldar feels it in his bones—something is calling him. Something ancient.

League HQ – Late Night

Kaldar walks silently through the halls of the League’s base. Crystal hovers beside him, dimmed.

Crystal: You sure about this? Belfrost said the Archive was off-limits.

Kaldar: That’s why I need to see it. If the Order’s watching me, I need to know why.

Kaldar reaches a sealed chamber—its door etched with symbols older than Earth. He places his hand on the panel. It opens.

The Forbidden Archive

Inside, the air is heavy. Scrolls float midair. Holographic constellations shimmer. A central pedestal glows faintly.Kaldar approaches. A projection activates—an ancient Guardian, cloaked in light and silence.

Projection: Welcome, bearer of the legacy. You seek truth. You seek origin.

Kaldar watches as the projection shows a dying galaxy—its last breath forming a pulse of energy. That pulse became the first Guardian. Not a person. A force. A balance.

Projection: The Guardian was not born. It was chosen. Passed from vessel to vessel. Each one shaped by their world. Each one tested.

Kaldar sees glimpses of past Guardians—some noble, some cruel, some broken.

Crystal: They weren’t all heroes.

Kaldar: No. But they were all necessary.

The Order Intervenes

Suddenly, the Archive trembles. A portal opens. Seven cloaked figures step through—the Celestial Order.

Order Envoy: You were not meant to see this.

Kaldar: Then why did you let me?

Order Envoy: Because the time has come. The Guardian must choose—remain human, or ascend.

Kaldar stares at them, heart pounding.

Kaldar: I’m not ready to give up who I am.

Order Envoy: Then you must walk both paths. And prepare for what comes next.

The Order vanishes. The Archive dims. Kaldar stands alone—but changed.

Orion Crest Academy – The Next Day

Kaldar walks through the halls, quieter than usual. Riko and Tess catch up.

Riko: You look like you read the universe’s diary.

Tess: And it had some dark chapters.

Kaldar: I saw where it all began. And I saw where it could end.

Crystal: The Order’s watching. But so is Sulmento.

Kaldar looks up. The stars shimmer. The final chapter of Volume II approaches.
