Q. When will you update?

A. Any time on Tuesdays between 5PM MST - 11:59PM MST (GMT-7)

Q. How many chapters will be in an update?

A. You can expect anywhere from 1~7 chapters at a time! I try to write one chapter a day, but proofreading takes up more time than writing for me.

Q. Do you use any AI in your writing?

A. For spelling and grammar. I'm not used to writing in present-tense, so I'll sometimes write half the story in present-tense, and half of it in past-tense and it's a mess to untangle by myself haha. The story itself? It's something I've always wanted to read, but haven't found anything like it so that all comes from my own noggin! No AI there.

Q. Didn't you have an AI generated cover before?

A. I did. Out of pure laziness since I didn't have time to design a temporary one myself. But now I don't have to be too ashamed of what I've got! I was able to make something halfway decent until the real art comes out.

Q. When will the real cover be done?

A. Right now, in January 2026! It's currently in the sketching phase (it's already turning out really good, I'm very excited).

Q. Who's the artist working on the cover?

A. I wanna make an official announcement when I can post a more developed WIP! But I adore the artist who's working on it, I can't wait to share with the class :D

Q. Why are Mira's and Mia's names so similar? That's confusing!

A. Aaaaah, I know! But trust me! I have a really cute plan ahead for that. Those of you who are good at speculation can probably guess what it is already. We are so far away from that moment though, so I am really sorry for all the confusion this causes in the meantime >3< At least in Japanese-inspired stories I have the convenience of using last names?

Q. Are your characters inspired by anybody/another story?

A. Kinda? Not really? Renji's design is honestly inspired by Jaekyung Joo from Jinx...(I'm so embarrassed to admit this) but his personality comes from my own struggles at being mostly direct and straightforward but also having a hard time communicating my feelings and saying what I think. I've never seen a ML with green hair though? I wanted one SO badly!! Mira accidentally looks a lot like Giju Gong from Ex-Love Review. When the contest specified that both leads have to be attractive? I immediately think of people like IU. I guess that's a lot of people's standard of beauty! (for very good reason too). I didn't really intend for her personality to turn out the way it has... but writing in first person is hard! I think I may only be capable of writing in a single, particular style in first person. And Mia exists solely because the typical FL has pink hair and everyone loves blue eyes, and those colors are typically intended for the spotlight—which is why she is in the spotlight—but I guess it was just important to me for the flashiest character to be a side character?

Q. Have you written anything else?

A. Tons! On Wattpad (username Zenon107). All stuff from my days in middle school. I'm highly embarrassed by it all haha. But those stories deserve love just as much as this one! ...Probably... I haven't re-read any of them in a long time, I'm very afraid to.
But I have published a short story back in Summer of 2021: Lilac Faded from Voices of the Warp and Weft. That's a more accurate depiction of the kind of writing I do now.

I'm probably going to remove this chapter when it's time to publish this story for the contest for real, so I hope you enjoy reading up on my ranting for now!
