Chapter 18:
Rudra Singha
Agni watched in shock as Valmiki and Aghori glared at each other. For the first time, he realized that these two powerful Sadhus were once friends… but now deadly enemies. The forest around them shook with their rising power.
Aghori roared angrily and tried to summon the same invisible force he used before, but Valmiki was already prepared. He slammed his staff into the ground and chanted powerful mantras. Immediately, thick tree branches erupted from the earth like giant serpents. They wrapped tightly around Aghori’s arms, legs, and waist.
Valmiki said, “Aghori… you have forgotten that I also possess the ancient powers. You betrayed me once for the sake of the Saktra, and again you stand here asking for the Chakra’s power. How far will your greed take you?”
Aghori gritted his teeth, struggling inside the wooden trap. “Let me go, Valmiki… you are crossing your limits! Release me now, or I will destroy you!”
Valmiki stepped closer. “You lost your path the day you chose darkness. I will stop you, even if it costs my life.”
But suddenly Aghori’s eyes glowed blood-red.
A dark aura exploded around him.
CRACK!
The wooden branches began shattering one by one. Aghori roared, his voice echoing across the jungle, “YOU DO NOT CONTROL ME!”
With one final burst of dark energy, he destroyed Valmiki’s trap completely.
Valmiki stepped back in shock. “Impossible… your strength has increased this much?”
Aghori laughed, his voice filled with madness. “The darkness chose me, Valmiki! You don’t understand—this world will kneel before the power I will create!”
His hands rose toward the sky, gathering swirling black smoke. The leaves on the trees turned brown instantly from the heat of dark flames forming around him.
Valmiki warned Agni, “Rudra! Stand back! His power is becoming unstable.”
But Agni clenched his fists. “No! I won’t run away again. I will fight!”
Before Valmiki could stop him, Agni launched forward with a burning fire fist. His flames were so bright that the jungle glowed like daylight.
“TAKE THIS, AGHORI!” he shouted.
Aghori only smirked and formed a dark shield. Agni’s fire punched against it, sending shockwaves through the forest. Birds flew from the trees, animals ran in fear.
Aghori pushed Agni back with a blast of dark energy. “You have Agni’s flames, boy… but you do not know how to control them completely!”
Agni rolled across the ground, but he quickly stood back up, flames swirling around his arms.
“I don’t need perfect control to beat you,” he said angrily.
Aghori lifted both hands and chanted a terrifying mantra.
Suddenly—
The ground split open beneath Valmiki.
A giant skeletal arm made of black mud rose, grabbing Valmiki by his legs and pulling him down.
Valmiki struggled. “Aghori! Stop this! You will doom us all!”
Aghori shouted, “You should have never come back, Valmiki!”
He raised his hand, summoning a purple spear of pure dark energy.
Agni screamed, “NOOOO!”
His entire body ignited in a giant explosion of flame. His eyes turned bright orange, and the fire surrounding him formed huge wings made of burning heat.
He flew at Aghori with incredible speed and smashed into him, knocking the dark spear out of his hands.
Aghori slid across the ground, surprised. “So… you unlocked Agni’s inner fire wings… impressive.”
Agni landed, panting from power overload, but ready to attack again.
“This ends now! Leave Valmiki alone!”
Aghori sneered. “Very well… then I’ll kill YOU first!”
He summoned dozens of shadows shaped like monstrous wolves. They rushed toward Agni from all directions.
Agni spread his fiery wings wide and spun like a burning cyclone.
The wolves exploded into smoke one by one.
But more kept coming.
Valmiki shouted from the sinking ground, “Rudra! His power is growing! You must not fight him alone!”
Agni clenched his teeth. “Then help me! Don’t let him take the Saktra!”
With one final push of energy, Valmiki broke free from the skeletal trap and leaped beside Agni.
“Together,” Valmiki said.
Agni nodded. “Together.”
Aghori’s eyes widened. “So be it… let the battle begin!”
The jungle trembled as the two forces—flame and light—charged at the dark master.
The war of ancient powers had begun.
