Since that day, Chrono secrectly helped the less fortunate homeless children too. He even tried to find a children’s shelter but all of them were already overloaded. Shinji on the other hand, poured more effort into his studies.

Study Group After School
Habara explained the history in 1899 while adjusting his glasses.

"Lots of things happened during that year, like the first copyright law being passed, Miraii University being the first university to be built, etc etc!”

Teaching Technique At Night
Shinji drew a blood vessel on the paper in front of the kids.

"Hemoglobin is a protein in red blood cells responsible for transporting oxygen! It belongs to heme group which contains iron atom! When oxygen present, it combines with the iron atom and reflects red light! That’s why hemoglobin appears red!”

They stared at him in confusion.

"Atom?”
"Heme group?”
"What is cell?”

Akira’s Coaching at Midnight
Akira wrote down some maths formulas and equations on the paper.

"...and that’s how you find X, hooman!”

Shinji frowned and read the question again.

"Aaa, Y…”
"The hell you mean why?”
"No, I mean Y!”

She blinked then slammed the table.

"Cause that’s how it is!”
"No! The question is Y!”
"Why you asking me why?! That's how its work! Ahhh!”

She flipped the desk.

Xarax’s Basement
Dio lay beaten on the ground, surrounded by thousands of Dragonoid Naga members, all making fun of him.

"Hey! Where’s your daddy at?”
"Daddy got arrested bahahaha!”
"Oi? Still alive? Say something!”

He trembling in pain, gasping.

"Gkk! Ju- just yo-… Ughh! Guys… Wait! Commander… Will save… Him!”
"Hah! I don’t remember saying that!”

Xarax said and they laughed together.

"Wh-… You… Gkh! Promised…”
"Heh, no ‘black and white’… Isnt that what they taught you in school?”

They laughed even louder, enjoying their drink.

"First a ninja, now special police… What next? Legendary sword holder? We need to teach them a lesson… You know where that ninja hide those kids right?”

Rizai sharpen one of his floating knife.

"Ughh! Ye- yes! I foun-… Them… Yesterday! Gkk!”
"Good! We will show them… The consequences for messing with Dragonoid Naga!”

The knife glowed.

Principal Office
27 May 2016, 9:30 AM.

Two weeks after the mid year exam, the results were released and Shinji stood nervously in front of the principal’s desk, with Akira floating beside him.

"Do we have to stand here for an hour again?”
"You literally floating!”

The principal placed the result sheet on the table.

"Takegawa Shinji!”
"Ye- Yes sir!”

He gently slid the report paper across the desk.

"From 5% to 50% highest, that’s a big improvement! Well done, son!”
"Tha- thank you sir!”
"Yosh!”

A smile formed on Shinji’s face as he lowered his gaze. Akira squeezed her eyes shut and pumped her fist downward.

"But remember!”

The principal said and they flinched.

"Learning is not only about grades! The goal is to gain knowledge, not memorize then forget afterwards! This exam is just a tool of measurement, to identify your weaknesses and strengthen them! You still have a looong way to go, son!”
"Hummu hummu!”
"Understood, sir!”

The principal pulled four tickets from his pocket and placed them on the desk.

"Take these with you! Celebrate with your friends!”
"Fun Fair?”
"The fork is that?”

Fun Fair
Under the cool evening lights, Shinji, Chrono, Mai and Yuki along with Akira lined up at the entrance.

"What’s so fun bout this?”

Shinji looked up and only saw various lights around.

"You from a cave or what?”
"I am…”

Entrance Toll
Everyone else had already gone inside except Shinji, staring at the machine ticket.

"Aaaa-…”
"Quick hooman! We gonna miss the fun!”
"Im trying my best!”

Instead of inserting the ticket, he shoved a coin into the slot. The machine spit it back at him.

"Adoi!”

Akira grew impatient and casually floated over. The sensor detected her presence and began blaring loudly.

"Nyahahaha!”
"Woyyy!”

Inside the Fun Fair
They strolled through the lively stalls, looking around.

"Ahh! Can you guys smell that?”

Chrono placed his arm in the pocket.

"How many times you wanna eat?!”

Mai frowned while Yuki choosing the first stall.

"It feels so good when Blacky Jacky no longer around!”
"Yeah, they should’ve been dealt with way earlier! So incompetent!”
"I just hope Dragonoid Naga goes vanish for good!”

A group of people passed by, talking. Chrono slowed down, listening quietly.

"Unfortunately, that’s not how its work… Blacky Jacky was just ‘a school of fish’… Wiping them out completely is unrealistic… Especially when our focus shifted to-”
"Chrono! Hey! Over here! Shinji, you late!”

Mai waved from afar.

Snipe It Right
Yuki popped three balloons and won herself a small unicorn plushie.

"You wanna try, Shinji?”
"Hoo! Good luck, hooman!"

Yuki passed the toy gun to him.

"Aa… Ahh okie…”

He failed to hit even a single balloon after ten shots along with three pity shots from the employee.

"Ughhh…”

He buried his face on the counter.

"Seriously, which cave you came from?!”

While Mai mocking him, Chrono closed his eyes, blindly shot the board, and somehow popped all the balloons at once.

"Bulleyes!”
"HOW THE FORK?!”

Bonk The Head
Mai set a new high score after whacking all the toy hamsters without missing once.

"Try and beat that, caveman!”
"Good luck, hoo-”

Shinji tossed the toy hammer and brought out a real hammer instead.

"CALM DOWN, HOOMAN!”

Akira grabbed him from behind while the others restrainted his hand.

"Mana mai meretun tu woy (Where the heck that hammer came from)?!”
"Your allowance is not enough to cover that machine, you idiot caveman!”
"Le- let’s go play other game!”

They played several other games but Shinji losing every single one. He gave up and sat on the bench, empty handed.

"Ughhh, fun fair is not fun afterall…”

Yuki scratched her head.

"He- here Shinji! You can have one of mine!”
"That penguin looks cute, hooman!”
"Sankyuu Yuki…”

He picked the penguin up. Mai smirked, shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"You shouldn’t spoil him… What kind of guy like plushies anywa-”

She turned and saw Chrono holding two whole bags full of plushies.

"What?”
"Psst! Hooman! How about that one?”

Akira pointed at a booth that use dual sticks to play.

VR Rhythm Game
One of the staff helped Shinji with the VR headset.

"So, which mode you wanna play?”
"Gimme your hardest one!”
"Ho'oh! A challenge-taker I see! Sur-”

Shinji turned to his left while the staff on his right. They laughed but Akira, floated beside him nodded and cast her magic.

"I will help you cheat but this time only, hooman!”

Moments later, he walked out with three jumbo size plushies after achieving the impossible new highscore.

"Ahh! That was a lot of fun!”
"Man you rock!”

Chrono nudged him.

"Well, have fun with your oversized plushies, caveman!”
"Night boys! See yah at jetty!”

Shinji, Akira, and Chrono went to the left while Mai and Yuki to the other way.

"Hey caveman! You forgot the way to your ‘cave’?”
"Nah! Stopping by Amri Pastry!”

Business Street
Shinji walked down the street with his jumbo plushies. Akira floated beside him, and Chrono trailed behind.

"Just so you know, we already passed Amri Pastry!”
"Ah fork, I overstepped… Must be the wind…”

They kept walking and Akira glanced behind.

"Hooman… I think now we know that he know that we know that we thought he don’t know but now we all know!”
"Huh?”
"So… How did you find them?”

Chrono asked and Shinji glanced.

"Short story or long story?”
"Any is fine, bud!”
"Well long story short, they stole a bread, so I went after them, that’s how I foun-”

Shinji suddenly dropped the plushies and sprinted forward.

"Hooman?”
"Wha- why you-...”
"Why… Why I cant feel their ki?!”

The Narrow Alley
Chrono catched up with flashlight at hand along with Akira floated closed.

"How did he see in the dar-…”

He saw Shinji stood froze with blood soaked in front of him.

"Shin-… WHAT THE HECK?!”
"Oh my!”

Chrono’s eyes widened while Akira, trembling, covering her mouth. The homeless children lay motionless on the ground alongside Dio’s body. Shinji’s watch was found broken with a note underneath.

Chrono shook his head and quickly dialed the emergency number.

"999, what’s you-”
"DISPATCH! THIS IS OFF DUTY SPECIA BADGE 001, I-…”

He turned around.

"SHINJI?!"

Shinji released his Demonic Aura its wrapped around his body. Moeru Yona teleported into his hand, clutched and shaking.

Shinji and Akira in her Spirit Form went out for groceries. He grabbed a pineapple but she slapped his hand.

"Adoi! What?!”
"What you tryna do?!”
"You said we wanna make pizza today!”

Customers nearby stared at him arguing with no one.

"Hold it right there, young man! Who said you need pineapple on pizza?!”
"Uncle Amri said-”
"No! Nu’ uh! Nehi!”
