Chapter 8:

Chapter 8- The End of my First Adventure

『For Me Teleportation Is The Worst Power』

Within the noisy battlefield, the tent, cages, boxes and merchandise were stained with blood, corpses filled the ground, many lying atop another.

“Where is Great Shinta?” asked Nu, sitting on a pile of corpses while playing with her stilettoes. “GREAT SHINTAAAAAAA.”

She then pouted before Choji, Glass, and Elsa walked up to her, Choji dutifully wielding his shield and axe, while Glass strolled without a weapon alongside Elsa.

“Nu, could you stop shouting? It is not helping amongst all the noise.” Elsa replied harshly to the girl.

“Sorwi, I am just looking for him.”

“Knowing him for five months now, he will be okay.” Said Choji with a smile on his face.

“Yeah, Lord Irashime has never let us down, has he?” continued Glass as though for her elder brother.

“No, he hasn’t.” said Nu, climbing down from the heap that consisted of about fifty bodies. "I... I just can’t imagine what will happen if he goes missing.”

Boom…boom…boom.

In the distance, various explosions went off, body parts flew, and debris flew alongside them. I was clear that Chelsea and Alex were the ones at work.

*****

“Guess you guys were all talk, weren’t you?”

“Chelsea, calm down, the head of their group doesn’t seem done quite yet.” Said Alex sarcastically, opening an eye and smirking at the dwarf.

A giant golem appeared from the smokescreen in front of them, the dwarf merchant beside it. The golem was a towering 10’7”, 10 feet 7 inches, compared to its user, who was just 4 feet 4 inches. It had a brown body and a red gem in the head functioning as the eye, the limbs were made of mithril, and they were coloured black.

“Behold the power of the Extaye Golem of Earth, Tar and Omnipotence. EGETO V2. Your powers shall not cut down the mighty foe.”

Based on its status, for a normal adventurer, it is not possible. It had a level of 100 and a power level of 90,249. It had an attack of 10,000; defence of 30,048; MP of 20,000; speed of 10,000; strength of 20,200, and an IQ of 1. It also had a good Max HP of 5,550. For a novice adventurer or an average person, dealing with this would be a life-or-death battle, but for those who managed to pass the Level 100 quota.

“Its stats are quite low for a V2, aren’t they?” Chelsea asked, turning her head towards Alex.

“They seem low to us, but to normal adventurers, this is a hard task.” Said Alex, putting his sword back into his sheath.

“Fools, this is my greatest work. Grovel at my feet.” said the dwarf.

The next thing that occurred was not too surprising; the golem removed its head to reveal what looked like a cockpit, it picked up the dwarf and set him in the seat. Afterwards, the golem, EGETO V2, put its head back, and red glowing stones set in the joints glowed radiantly.

“Get ready to witness the greatest of my work, Darwin Hester’s greatest tool.” Screamed the dwarf from the cockpit of the golem.

“What a pain.”

“…” That reaction came from the cockpit. “Who is that? Show yourself.”

The voice came neither from Alex nor Chelsea, even though they didn’t recognize the voice, and hence they had to look behind themselves to where the voice came from. The voice sounded like a mix between a feminine and masculine voice, although it was more feminine, an alto voice closer to soprano. The next voice that came after was a familiar masculine voice, at least familiar to the two who had been with him for some months now.

“Aisu, you think you can handle him? He is Level 100”

“Not a problem for me. In the face of my Adaptation technique, this golem is useless, care for me to show you that it is not just like Reduction.”

“Guess that’s okay.”

Emerging from the smoke and amongst the corpses was a guy with red hair and black eyes holding a katana; the blade was beautifully balanced. Even a novice with no experience with weapons could tell its blade was made by a master, in this case, a god. Its handle was like an art with the magnificent mix of gold and white, and its black blade guard was another developed part; it resembled the normal blade guard but had the design of a tiger on the top side and a golden dragon on the other.

*****

When we had finished slaying more assassins, Aisu, my new weapon, sensed a greater enemy that appeared north-west of where we were. He decided that we go, and I followed along upon reaching the location, we saw Alex and Chelsea just standing in front of a golem, and the dwarf slave trader was right beside it. The golem, EGETO V2, as the dwarf called it, removed its head to reveal a cockpit and put the slave trader in it.

It proceeded to close its head back on its body, and the guy mentioned that his name was Darwin Hester. Aisu could no longer bear to watch and spoke up, making me follow him, and now we are facing the EGETO V2.

Action: Use Adaptation to ignore defence and land a direct hit.

Yes…

No…

Yes, but only for five hits. I answered, and with that, I went forward for an attack. “Double Turbulence Sword Style: First Form, Pointed Thrust.”

It was a clean pierce through the abdomen of the golem.

Notice: Hit was successful, damage done 3,800. HP of target 1,750 out of 5550. More than 60% of HP was removed, approximately between 68% and 70% of it HP was diminished.

Holy shit, I removed more than half the HP, which is a clear definition of overpowered. I have technically taken the guy down, and that was what I was thinking before…

(I should have added strength to that then)

(WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ADD STRENGTH?)

(I know I should have-)

(Nothing.)

(…)

(I almost stole the spotlight by nearly finishing it in one blow.)

(I get it, I get it. You really love not being the main character. I guess the past heroes I have worked with are different. But let me tell you something, I hate too much work, so let’s finish this thing off.)

*****

Meanwhile, in the cockpit, Darwin was totally freaking out because EGETO V2 was nearly destroyed in one blow. He looked back and noticed his enemy, the hero, had been behind one spot looking at the other two in a nervous way.

“Die, Hero. I shall gain fame for defeating you.”

With that, he launched an attack, a blow, and straight for the hero, who took no regard whatsoever. Whether it was because he didn’t see the attack, he thought less of the golem or was just out rightly dumb, Darwin never knew it. All that raced through his mind was to kill him and get out of there. He then noticed a katana in Shinta’s hand, which was different from the one he had held earlier, and it looked very familiar. It did not take him much time to notice that it was Aisu that was being wielded.

Curse you, first the other hero nearly sold off my business, now you are here to stop it.

Those were the thoughts that he was pondering on before his final thought crossed his mind, the day that he was arrested for the slave trade, when he was just 68 years old, and now 60 years later.

*****

Swish… Crack… Crack… Crack… Boooooooooom…

Down fell the EGETO V2; it happened in the blink of an eye. A mix of yellow and white lights appeared at the top of the tent, and immediately came down towards where I and the golem were, and that is the earlier sounds it made before. Boooooooooom… the golem fell and emerged from the dust a cat girl.

“I told you he was here, what do you have to say, Nu?” came the recognisable voice of Glass.

“I knew he would be good on his own.” Continued the irritated voice of Elsa, most likely at Nu, who had been frantic a while back.

“Ha-ha-ha. You three always manage to cause a scene. Ha-ha-ha-ha” finished Choji.

“Great SHINTAAAAAAAAAAAA!” cried Nu, as she threw away her stilettoes and pounced on me. She then proceeded to cry out an entire pool of tears. “You need to stop wushing on your own, imagine what would have happened if I was not there.”

“There, there. I could have ended him, but I was telling Alex and Chelsea to finish the guy off when you came.”

Nu continued to cry on me. Luckily, everybody was safe. Wait, what am I saying? It is only natural that they would be safe; they are level 400 and above. Of course, they will be okay. Suddenly, something caught Elsa’s eye; it was Aisu, who was in my hand.

“Good day, Master Aisu. Long time, isn’t it?”

Turning into her, rather, his human form, Aisu replied to Elsa’s unnecessary polite greeting. “It’s been a while, Little Elsa, or should I say Elsa the Progression.”

“You flatter me, I have gone a little way than what you expected from me.” Elsa then proceeded to put her hand over her mouth. “I see your appearance still does not match your sexual features.” Said Elsa, chuckling.

“… What? Well, I see you are still a cheeky child.” Aisu replied, trying to get back at Elsa, even though he knew he was going nowhere with it. “You elves never grow up, do you?”

“Who is she?” asked Alex. “A friend of yours-”

Giving another of her famous death stares to Alex, she “politely” told him Aisu was one of the two god-forged Behemoths with intelligence.

“You see, Master Aisu, the Katana is a god-forged behemoth while Lisa is the Great Sword.” Elsa continued. “Either way, Master Aisu, why were you here? Did anything here catch your interest?”

“Not at all. The useless hero of the last generation, dumped me here in his pursuit of a lot of lovers, his music career and acting like a Roman in Rome.”

“So technically, he was just doing it for fame?” I asked. “And 'Acting like a Roman in Rome', huh?”

“What does that mean, Great Shinta?” asked a confused Nu who was still on top of me.

“It means following the local rules and doing what others normally do, but in this case, I am sure he was looking for obedient chicks.”

“By the way, I am happy you didn’t do such.” She said with a sheepish-like smile or smirk with her eyes closed. “I would have most likely killed you.”

She says that with a normal tone, but…I’m just glad I didn’t leave Aisu. I thought in my head while keeping a straight face.

“Don’t worry, Lord Shinta, I will protect you.” Said Nu, hugging me tighter.

“Either way, Little Shinta. Did you get the key?”

“Yeah, it was with Aisu.” Aisu then pulled out a translucent golden box, the size of his hand, with a smaller glowing golden ball inside.

Elsa took the box from his hand and brought a Grimoire, an old-looking golden book, out of her inventory. The inventory is a function of the Green Screen; it enables us to keep a near infinite amount of stuff in it, and by near infinite, I mean a maximum of a thousand to five thousand boxes capable of holding a hundred to a thousand items each.

She proceeded to throw the Grimoire in the air, and three seconds after falling, the book suspended mid-fall and began to open itself. Elsa then dropped the box into the book. Nobody caught what she said because she whispered, but I think I heard Purification Magic somewhere along those lines.

The next thing that happened was that a golden circle appeared under the tent, and it grew even to the far ends of it. A lot of purple gas appeared from various places across the tent and gathered in the box, which was now floating above the book. When that was done, Elsa held the box in her hand and put it in her inventory.

“We need evidence that this place was a Slave trade center.” She said.

*****

We ended up freeing every person held as a slave, and let me say that most of them were female, not surprisingly, but the males weren't few either. They consisted of a ton of races, in order of highest to lowest, are elves, therianthropes and beastmen, humans, ogres, lizardmen and dragonnewts, orcs, goblins and many others.

In total, there were 378 victims of this group, 250 females, and 128 males, and this is just a branch of the operations. For today, we vanquished one evil, and I got an overpowered AI sword, unfortunately.

(So how’s Chahe?) Asked Aisu

(Who’s that?) I asked, as the reply.

(The girl that is too detailed and stuff, technically your Helper.)

(Na, I don’t have anything like that.)

(Guess you have not yet gotten her, by the way I sense one more life force in the tent.)

“Huh…” I said turning my head towards the burning tent.

“Great Shinta, what is it?” Nu who noticed my gasp asked.

“There is one more person left there.”

From the smoke at the entrance emerged a stout figure; their silhouette was the only visible thing before they fully came out of the smoke. It was the dwarf merchant, Darwin, who was all beat up. His body was covered in deep wounds and scars, and blood was visibly trickling out of his body in large quantities.

“Shi…ta, you…b…t… You will pay for the…” he tried to speak out, but only got a few words.

“Mr. Darwin, we won and we will be taking you to the king,” Choji said, moving to the guy and placing his hand on Darwin’s shoulder.

“We need a witness after all, I thought Nu killed you in her attack.” Elsa said

“…, Wh-” Choji knocked him unconscious with a decisive hit to the carotid sinus

My first mission ended up okay, nothing too extravagant except for my teammates and katana that were just too quick on the matter, either way, it’s back to dungeon clearing for me. We ended up heading to the castle to report the matter, the process went along smoothly, and we went back home. My problems now rose in numbers, first is M.A.Y, second is Galim and her subordinates, third is the Northern and Southern Empires, and lastly now what is this Chahe skill Aisu talked about?

But this Valentine’s Day may be the best I have experienced, though, since I didn’t have that many girls chasing me. I wanted to wonder how this world knows it, but considering past heroes, it is not a surprise.

*****

“Sire, she has agreed to come within the next few days.”

A servant was telling a man who was looking at the window in the hallway. His hair was blonde and his green eyes shone, and his god-level regalia was spectacular. His servant was sent to gain information on a visitor who was to help Shinta, the hero, on his quest to defeat M.A.Y. Her help was voluntary, and she had agreed to come a few days from then.

“Inform, Lord Irashime and his party at once.”

“Good morning, Your Highness.”

“Nice to see you are still in good health. My liege”

Those were Marquis Band and Rice; they were summoned by the king not too long before that moment.

“Good to see both of you. I assume you know why I have called you here.”

“No, Your Highness.”

“Not at all, my liege.”

“Well, our new ally is to be coming here in a few days.”

“You mean, ■■■■■ ■■■■ ■■■■■, but was it not supposed to be later?”

“Yes, Your Highness, she said so herself.”

“Well, that was true until a few days ago. Do your best to arrange a welcome for her; the first visit should be the best after all.”

With that, he turned around and headed to the throne room, and the guards on standby followed him, leaving the two marquis there. ■■■■■ was an unpredictable being, which everyone who knew her kept in a corner of their mind. But what was more troubling was that King Aro, the Lone Wolf Prince, now the Single King, was working with someone, and not just anyone but ■■■■■, the most dangerous being to exist.
