Chapter 37: The Vampires

Guard 934 said, “Power… sound!”

Guard 94234 said, “Shots!”
Guard 9452 said, “I missed!”

Then Elabon moved his hand and teleported from in front of the guards to behind them.

Guard 94234, 9452, and 934 fell to the ground.

Elabon stabbed 934 from the back.

Guard 934 said, “Uhuu…”
Elabon said, “Uh no… that is not good. Now I need to know where to find the… Outside’s fish.”

Guard 9452 said, “Please… let me live! I have a family to feed!”
Elabon laughed, “Haahaha! What? Like I care one bit.”
He said, “Tell me. How many kids do you have?”

Guard 9452 said, “I have six children!”

Elabon lowered the sword, pointing it at 9452.
He said, “Okay… what is it? It better be worth my time.”

Guard 9452 said, “My name… is Ols…”
Elabon said, “My name is Elabon, but I don’t care about your name. Tell me what it is!”

Guard 9452 muttered to himself, “Uhuhu… what should I say?”

Elabon said, “You have three seconds!”
Guard 9452 said, “Ok… you need to know about these things called… Vampires.”

Elabon said, “Ok… you got me here. Yes, I did go there once before, it was like 60 years…”
Guard 9452 said, “No, 60 months ago.”

Elabon looked around, then at the guards on the ground.
He said, “Looks like I killed one of the others, but I don’t know about the rest.”

Guard 9452 said, “Oh yeah… we should start going there. It’s a very far place.”

Elabon said, “What is your name?”
Guard 9452 said, “Olevas.”
Elabon said, “Let’s get going. Your words, not mine. It’s a faraway place.”

Olevas thought, Thank… that he didn’t ask about the lab. If he had, I’d be dead. We’re all counted by one heart, the guards can’t be killed, including me.
