As it turns out, I really, really like to write about healing. Of course, it could’ve been better, but I think I told the story I wanted, even if it went off-script after Chapter 7…

Some notes on Names and Pronunciation

The characters in this story and even the locations and objects have all had their names chosen specifically for them. Here is a list of the names, their pronunciation and the meaning behind each one, according to Google. I have adjusted the pronunciations of some names to better suit the character. In no particular order:

Characters

- Falisai (Fah-lee-sy) - “A Strong House” - Bakalov (Bah-kah-lohv) - “Merchant” or “Grocer”.
- Mele (Meh-leh) - “Song” or “Honey”.
- Freyla (Fray-lah) - “Noblewoman”.
- Akam (Ay-kam) - “Heart” or “Mind” or “Inner Self”.

Some Notes on Vehicles

All aircraft in this story are based on a real world counterpart. Here are some of the more important ones, in order of appearance:

- Freyla is based on the F-101 “Voodoo”, and is also the jet seen being held by the fairy on the cover art.
- Freyla II is based on the PA-38 “Tomahawk”, which I have had the pleasure of flying. I left her details inaccurate to try to prevent a wall of text as my autism tried to take hold.

Also, in case you weren’t aware, the cover art is a combination of two things - the “eyes” Mele sees whilst she’s in a coma, and the emblem of the Comfort Fairies.

Parting Words
