Elementers' fight club

We spent a whole week working on this, I did learn some basic on boxing, not strong enough to have an actual technique but I did make a move of mine, a simple wind fist, when I punch someone, I followed up with a wind punch, either and aftershock or at the same time.

The problem is that even on soft surfaces I tend to get damaged, so we were looking at some gloves to reduce the impact for me, making ones at home that let my fingers free. As for the places, we were buying newspapers and hanging it out at my house wall, using markers and notebooks to figure out where the next tournament will be.

“The cigarette guy was found in this store, for the amount of information we have been collected walking around the city, they are moving to this place, maybe in here we could find more elementers, but this time would be riskier”

“At the possibility of having a fight, I thought that I would be having something in a week but it is too little to have something for real…”

“You have your powers for a bit, it is impressive how much you have done-“

“It’s not enough though, now I get what you said… but even if I am not ready, even if we found a fight, we need to do this…”

“If you feel ready”

“I’m not… I am nervous… but… I am looking forward to it a lot, I’m counting on you to support me, Yuki”

“You got it, man”

We fist-dump and we took our stuff and saved it in a safe place, we just waited until night, this time passing around places and sitting on a bench nearby.

“We haven’t been out again since the last time”

“Let’s see how people are in here”

We were on new territory, and while we knew our local place, we had to take a big walk to get in here in the afternoon.

“That was easy exercise for me now that I am training, but how about you?”

“I… I am okay…”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, yeah… don’t worry, man”

People in here were just having normal conversations and talking casually. At the end, we sat down outside a parking zone and drank some hot coffee.

“This tastes terrible…”

“I agree… but it would give us the energy to keep going”

“How do adults drink this stuff?”

“Maybe their lives are more bitter than this”

“Oh, that is deep man”

“Not really haha”

We continue drinking the coffee doing tons of faces since it was so bitter, when we finished, we started to kick the cans around and then pick them up until we saw a recycle bin, was there when we eavesdrop something, a fight.

“What do you want from me?”

“I told you, the bet, you lose man and I want my money”

“I’ll give it to you, just wait until the next fight, I promise you, I’ll give even the double!”

“The double you say, you better have luck or we’ll come for something that has the same value of what you gamble with us”

The guys come out of the alley and ignore us as the guy just sighed and collapsed on the ground.

“This is our chance, Yuki”

“Ren wait!”

I approach the guy on the floor and help him out.

“Are you okay, sir?”

“Uh, kids? What are you doing here?”

“That doesn’t matter, what happened sir?”

“Ugh… guess it wouldn’t hurt let it out of some of the stress… I’m just in a big trouble, I gamble all my money to a pathetic elementer and he got knock out in the first round”

“Do you know the way into the fight? Our friend is fighting and we want to see him”

“Oh yeah, sure”

I moved my hand and told Yuki to come up.

“You are friends with the almighty right? He is a big one after all”

“Yeah, the almighty”

“Such a great guy…”

Yuki was really nervous, I patted her back and we followed the person. We walked for a few minutes until this person turned around and grabbed me, putting a knife near my cheek.

“REN!”

“Shut up!”

Yuki was terrified, I moved my head to tell him no and the person started to talk.

“Who are you? Are the police sending kids to their investigation? Well too bad, I am the same for both kids and adults! You both better spit your game”

“W-We are not with the police, we only one to know where the elementer fighters club is”

“Oh yeah, is behind you- NOT IDIOT, why would I tell you that? You know what it means? If you kids let that slide, they would kill you and worse yet they would kill ME!”

The person was really nervous, I could hear her agitated breath and how shaky his hands were, we really were about to do me some harm if I didn’t do anything. I was lifted from the ground so there was no way I could make something with my legs, and if I tried to do something with my body the blade would cut me, then it was time to take advantage of the sweat of this guy.

As the guy was still focusing on trying to get the information out of Yuki I put my hand down the handle of the knife and made it fly across the floor, at that moment the guy stopped holding me and looked at me in fear.

“Y-Y-Y-You, are an elementer!”

“That is right”

“W-W-W-Wait we can solve this out, how about if I give you…”

“Are you okay, Yuki?”

“Yeah… just need to breathe…”

“Sir…”

“Yeah?”

“You know where the elementer fight is, tell us, and I will not make you unconscious, you have a debt to pay after all, right?”

“This goddamn kid… fine! But if you let this slip, I will make sure you live in proper hell for the rest of your life!”

“Excellent!”

As we cleaned the dust out, we followed the adult, this time with Yuki in my back and I made sure to look around.

We stood in front of nothing, the guy took a necklace out of his shirt and a door appeared, he opened and before we could enter two people stopped us.

“What’s the meaning of this, Reiki?”

“They come with me”

“Kids? Are you insane?”

“They cannot tell anything, kid, show it”

I was confused and looked around and the guy rolled his eyes and he made a first with his hand, I did the same and let air come out of it.

“Go ahead, Reiki… and the other one?”

“He is my friend… we want to look how the fights are”

“Well, that is a good friendship, following your friend to hell… you are in your own kids, we are not babysitters”

“We know”

We passed and went into a black hallway, we could hear slowly how the cheers and screams were getting near, how people were making applauses and hitting their seats, insults, blessings, curses and overall, the punches of the ones fighting.

The light blind us for a few seconds and then we saw on a giant screen how two people were fighting inside a cage. I couldn’t help but have a big smile on my face while looking at it, and then the bell rang.

The person in black shorts gives the first move, a sequence of punches and ends it with a slap in the face of the rival with a hand made of wood.

The other one in white boxers spit out blood to his fist and charged ahead, the one in black boxers covered himself with his arms with wood and they were being thorn apart thanks to the pointy knuckles made with blood of the one with white shorts.

Blood came out of the wood user, and when one of the punches of the one with white shorts stuck, he took it and started punching, one hit, two hits, three hits, four hits, five hits into the chin, the bell ring again and the blood user was trying to stay with his foot in place and he did, they were back to their positions and the ball ring again.

This time, the blood user took his blood from his mouth and throw it at the floor, and he started to slide on it and doing circles around the wood user, the wood user made his whole body made of wood and wait for the hit but when the blood user came, he didn’t punch anything, he threw blood and after a few minutes, the wood user was left with a ton of points, he wouldn’t stand and fell in the ring.

“AND THE WINNER OF THE FIRST ROUND OF THE NIGHT, IS CHIIIIIIIIIIKAAAAAAAAAAAKUUUUUUUUUUU!”

“You saw… this is it, Yuki… we are finally in here… these are the real elementers fight…”
