Chapter 0:
The Divine Heroes: Gods Among Us – The Return of the Unifier!
A woman’s voice—gentle yet commanding—echoed through the void, as if recited by time itself.
“Long ago… five brave heroes rose from distant lands. They wielded sword and sorcery, shielding humanity—shielding every race that once lived in chains. Together, they formed a sacred alliance to fight the darkness that sought to consume all.”
Her voice carried pride, but also grief. Flames and steel flickered across memory.
“Amid oceans of fire and rivers of blood, the Five Heroes stood unbroken. Their blades of light and holy incantations tore through the waves of shadow. But their victory was not theirs alone. Behind them stood a mysterious figure—right hand of the gods—known only as the Lord Arbiter.”
A silhouette appeared in the haze, cold and resolute.
“With a single sweep of his hand, the demon armies turned to ash.”
Her tone darkened.
“Through their courage, the Demon King fell. The world rejoiced, believing peace had returned…”
Then her voice cracked.
“But not all gods desired humanity’s freedom. One god—and his wife, a fallen goddess—believed mortals too weak to live unshackled. They tried to seize divine dominion… to rule mankind with an iron decree.”
Her whispers trembled like a warning.
“Their treachery birthed the Shadow Wraiths—creatures that devoured human souls incomplete and restless. And from their wrath descended the Blackened Storm—cursed rain that spawned new monsters with every drop.”
Visions swirled:
Black rain flooding cities.
People screaming as beasts crawled from the earth.
Wraiths consuming hope itself.
Her voice hardened.
“For breaking the laws of the heavens, the traitor gods were cast down. But their corruption poisoned the world… and the Great War began.”
Thunder echoed across the ancient battlefield.
“With Lord Arbiter guiding them, the Five Heroes fought against the legions of Wraiths and the storm of darkness. The sky split with thunder and magic. At last, the fallen gods were banished.
And just when victory seemed certain…”
She paused.
“…the Lord Arbiter vanished. Without a word. Without a trace.”
Silence engulfed the tale.
“Their guide gone, the heroes turned against one another. Greed. Fear. Betrayal. Their unity shattered, and the world once again fell into chaos.”
Then, like dawn breaking through night—
“But hope descended in the form of a prophecy—spoken by the final voices of the gods.”
The air glowed with faint golden streams.
“A savior would fall from the sky. One who would reunite the Five Heroes… before a darkness greater than any before rises again.”
The scene shifted into a vast ancient library, filled with dust and forgotten light.
A small girl with white hair and red eyes closed a massive book with trembling hands. She looked up at the cracked ceiling, her voice barely above a whisper.
“If the prophecy is true… then the one who will change everything is already on their way.”
Her eyes glimmered with fear—and hope.
The lamp above her flickered, casting long shadows.
And beyond the library walls…
the world trembled softly, as if something ancient had begun to stir.
The narration fades into the modern world…
Far away, in the heart of Tokyo—
the same white-haired girl, now grown, opens her eyes from a faint echo of a dream she barely remembers.
A dream of gods.
Of prophecies.
Of someone who must come.
And the moment she steps outside that morning…
a ripple of fate begins moving toward her.
Toward the man who would soon wash ashore at Karasuba Beach.
Toward the Unifier.
