Vihaan heard some people talking about what happened during expedition. They were saying about 6 were taken away from the 20 who went. He was shocked as he had never seen casualties of this scale.

For as long as he can remember not many wanderers were taken away or at all. Most of them only suffered minor to mild injuries. But this was on a whole new level.

Then some on from back came running and and directly went to Amos who was the chief in command of that expedition. He was one of the skilled wanderers and had recorded a total of 26 kills throughout his  6 years and a total of 17 expedition. Vihaan tried to look through the crowd for the woman. She was Nina, she was his neighbor.

 They knew each other well as his mom and Nina were well acquainted. He suddenly remembered that his fiancée Merca who was also a wanderer but had been missing since the 48th expedition. She. asked the commander if he had any leads. Amos reluctantly replied "He might have been taken away."

Nina was in shock she didn't say anything after that though she knew that if anyone who was taken away by those URCs almost never returned. He had been MIA since a year. 

Vihaan was watching those soldiers slowly head to the main district. After that he heard some people talking.

" I think the 51st expedition squad failed miserably."

He heard another voice "Why don't they be just satisfied with how much land we have now?"

Then another "Yeah these guys just waste precious resources and just eat a lot"

And another "Our people would be just better with the sentinels and reinforcers"

"These fools really still don't understand what they are doing is futile. They don't even have a b#%^$^y yet " another man in a strange dress replied. "Hey what thing are you talking?" replied a woman who was close to him.

Vihaan was furious. Those words that the people spoke about the wanderers whom he idolized so much were being fun of. He was talking to himself saying ("These people they don't know anything. They protect us from those BEINGS. Where they should be grateful to them they are are just complaining. I will become a great wander myself and put these people in their place")

Filling with hate and disappointment he tried to punch one one of people who was trash talking about. Even though he knew that wouldn't change anything he was not thinking about anything else

Then he tried punching him from behind but suddenly Easter stopped him without anyone else noticing.

"Hey what are doing?"

"Do you even know what were you trying to do?"

Vihaan replied "But these people were jus..."

Easter interrupted and said "That's just the way it is!" in a calming voice.
