Chapter 62:

Emotional coach, Chapter 62

False Saviour

There was a time when these streets were crowded, filled to the rim by merchants, lords and ladies who wished to experience the great festival for once in their life

Now, lined up, they walk upon it shoulder to shoulder, guards and knights watched over them from the corners

“My son, Sob, Sob, those murders, Sob” said a noble lady as her voice cracked

“Disgusting” said a noble man hiding his face centring the crowd “They make us feel like criminals and thieves imprisoned with a fake sense of freedom”

“You better stop it before they chain you in a real cell” replied the one by his side, his gaze low, eyes staring to the side at whom he talked to

“They kidnapped my daughter!!” said a merchant pulling a guard by the chest plat, “Bring her to me you useless bastards!!”

“Ser get in line pleas,” said the guard

“You refused to let us out!!” replied the merchant shacking the guard “You are at fault, bring her back—”

The moment the poor man went violent, and then a hit came towards his face, directed by another guard, blood lined across his mouth and nose as he watched it drip to the ground

“Get in line” said the other guard coldly

“You can’t just do that—” said the merchant hesitantly

“I can I did” said the guard “Now, if you don’t want another you better line with the rest”

The first guard was shocked, he walked forth to the bleeding and offered his hand to help, he was refused as the merchant joined the rest

The guard looked back and started yelling at the other one “Why did you do that—”

He was no where to be seen, the second guard disappeared off sight

“The continue to sharpen the knife on their neck” said Fraymon to his brother as they walked by the rest

“This knife is no slid object for it to hurt them” replied Torden

“Huh?” Fraymon seemed confused from whatever nonsense his brother spoke with

“We can’t possibly harm them” said Lord Kailer their father “Some of the guards might’ve understood it and chose to use this opportunity to get back at the nobles”

“For being rich?” said Fraymon

“Just walk beside me in the centre, so you don’t harm yourself” said Torden

Heads low, they entered through the castle’s door awaiting the appearance of gold

The crown was yet to appear, food was scattered across the hall, music was up, although none had the mood nor the energy for it. Whispers from each corner continued to develop into conversations over the time

The food and drinks were left untouched. A wide space surrounded those tables

“I am telling you the food was the reason” said a noble man to another “My infant son was awake whilst my wife was forced to sleep, if not for the guards we would’ve been taken like the others”

“Don’t heroic those guards” said a third interfering in the conversation “They were the ones who gave us the food in the first place”

“But they did come and rescue us from the fire” said the second noble “plus I heard some rumours on the way that the ones who drugged the food were disguised Vikings”

“You really believe those rock headed creatures to have such plans” said the third “And them being the ones to plan it out worsens it, Vikings infiltrating the capital and drugging the king’s guests”

Fraymon leaned back on the table with both hands behind him as the wrest stays out of its surface, keeping his face straight he told his brother

“At this rate a real revolution might start”

Torden by his side pouring a drink he replied “Don’t say such things”

“What are you doing!” shouted Fraymon at his brother, the crowd stared their way, startled, he loured his voice continuing “Did you forget that we can’t eat this food, you yourself said so”

Torden took a long sip right before him keeping eye contact, he then continued saying “That was when we were divided, plus doing such a thing in this crowded space will corner the crown more”

Fraymon was silent, Torden took a piece of cake handing it over to him

“…” Fraymon stared it jaw open

“We did not eat anything for a whole day” said Torden “You can’t possibly spend the night the same”

“… Sigh...” Fraymon took giving up

“Anyways, where is father, i did not see him the moment we went through the door” said Fraymon

“Who knows” said Torden, eyes had unspoken tears behind the skin and flesh, he stared the grounds bellow as memories flooded in

“Torden…” This name echoed in his head as his faded in thought

“Torden? Torden?? TORDEN!!!” it was his brother Fraymon waking him up from his daydream

“What?” replied Torden

“Over there” Fraymon with his index pointing in hiding towards the crowd

There they saw his fiancé, the king’s daughter Rembya, the second borne of the royal blood line, she searched one face after the other, it was obvious who she wished to meet

“So? what are you going to do?” asked Fraymon

“I will probably go along and try to pull out some info” said Torden “But what about you? What will you do with… her”

Torden pointed to the second flour, there Honaya the third in line moved her eyes across the floor, like a dog sniffing the grounds bellow him

“I… Don’t know” replied Fraymon with saddened eyes inspecting the cake in hand “She doesn’t seem like the bad type, I would just feel bad for speaking anything harsh”

“So, you were already swayed, typical of you” said Torden

Fraymon did not rush to anger, he just stood there, replying calmly wish shocked his brother Torden

“I think she is just nave, following those fantasy stories, just to be shocked with reality” said Fraymon “With the current atmosphere I don’t think the two families can fit together anymore”

Straitening his back he walked towards her saying “I will try to resolve it in peace, you should do the same” before disappearing off sight

Torden took the last sip before walking forward with his hand up waving for her

“Here you are” said Rembya “I searched for you everywhere, where were you?”

“It is just crowded in here; I couldn’t reach you earlier” replied Torden. They too disappeared off sight, from Lord Kaielr’s eyes, he who kept watch over them from the Overhanging balcony

He looked back towards the flower garden there where his wife was buried a couple of days ago

Starting to remember the past he leaned both hands on the wall

“I told you to do the same classes as him, he just refuses to give the teacher any attention” said lady Elara walking across the hall way with her husband, both of them looked about 15 years younger

“I can’t handle a rumour about me attending those classes,” replied lord Kailer “What will the public think of me”

“It will just be rumours in the end, don’t mind them, and they won’t be of an affect!” said Lady Elara pushing hard to reshape his opinion

He continued to walk forward trying his hardest not to fall for it

Giving u, she decided to use her last card “You’re father already made his effect on you, don’t let the cycle repeat once more, cut it off by supporting your son, our son!”

He stopped in place, eyes closed as he fought himself to push out some ideas

Lady Elara not giving him the chance kept tightening her rope saying

“This might be your last chance, if you don’t make a move, you might regret it for the rest for your life, only you can understand him, if I was able to, I would have joined those classes as well”

“Fine… where is the class room, I will join after finishing somethings, the head butler kept calling for me but I don’t see him anywhere,” said Lord Kailer checking for him if he was to be there

“Where are standing before it” replied Lady Elara, her eyes with a smug of happiness pointing behind him

Looking back, he found the door

“Wh—What?” he stared to the sides to find himself guided, at the end of the hallway the butler with his long moustache reaching for his neck met his gaze

Lord Kailer looked in his wife’s eyes who said

“I had to use an outside force, if not for such tricks, taking your precious’ time would’ve been near impossible”

With his eyes staring her down he said “So you used lies—”

She cut him replying “Tricked, as I said, is ed tricks”, her eyes noticed a movement from the far away left side so she pushed him with haste inside the classroom saying

“You should get ready now, the class is about to start”

Slam!

The door slammed shut as Lord Kailer stood there

Giving up he seated himself in the first row, right beside where his son’s books were at

With his right picking up one of the books, he read the tittle loudly

“The right time to smile,” said Lord Kailer “That is a weird tittle”

He picked another

“How not to be rude”

“Emotions, when to do what”

“Is this what kids read now a days, I never did see such a thing back in my days” said lord Kailer

The door opened, from it stepped froth Torden with his teacher

“I told you to do your homework before the next class” said the teacher “You can’t just make an excuse of you practicing it without proof”

“I did not understand the subject clearly” replied Torden seating himself next to his father

“We’ve been reading it for months!” said the teacher “Sigh… let’s just go over it once more—”

“Oh Lord Kailer, did not see you there my apologies” said the teacher opening his backpack and starting to write his name on the whiteboard with special charcoal

“Is someone would’ve told me earlier I would have been able to dress up properly,” said the teacher

“I did not know either” replied Torden

“Wel…” Lord Kailer was left speechless “This is a reaction I did not expect from you both”

“My job forces me to meet lord and ladies from all status, no offence of course” said the teacher

“I know you’re here just because mother told you” Said Torden before whispering to himself with Lord Kailer was ale to “It is not like you care”

“Anyways!” said the teacher slamming the table to get their attention

“I am your emotional coach, Ayoub. But you may only call me as, teacher. Now we will go back to the past subject, since someone thinks they are too smart for homework”

Said the teacher giving the side eye for Torden

“This is an opportunity for the new comer to learn as well” clapping his hand together

“So… who can tell me what was our last subject”

Silence roamed free, having his age of conquest over these floors

“Torden!” said the teacher pointing at him giving a stop to his slumber

“But I did not raise my hand—” Torden was cut mid-sentence

“What was our last subject, If you may”

“I may not—” he was cut once more

“And exactly is the term we used last”

“Sigh… expressing emotions to others, and the last thing we touched was grief” replied Torden

“Nice! And what was the example we gave?” asked the teacher

“A funeral” said Torden

“Perfect. Now, I will be the, sad person” said the teacher hiding his face before wearing a mask with sad eyes

“Now, we need someone to console me, wish is it…. it shall be???? You!” said the teacher pointing towards lord Kailer

“Me?” said lord Kailer

“Yes! Yes indeed it is. Now, i lost both my children and my wife to bandits”

Lord Kailer saw his wife, lady Elara from behind the window cheering him up before hiding so Torden won’t see her

“Do you hear me milord?” said the teacher

“Oh yes I do”

“How will you talk to me?” said the teacher

“Well I—”

Lord Kailer was cut “Wait!” said the teacher, let me get into position”

“Okay?” said lord Kailer finding it weird

The teacher started making up real tears

“Sob…. Sob… My wife, Romeo, Joliet, Sob…”

“Are you… okay teach?” said lord Kailer

“MY ONLY FAMILY IS GOoOoOoOone!” said the teacher his body moved like a dying snake

He stared back and said “How will you console me”

“Oh yeah umm..” Lord Kailer thought for a moment before saying “I deeply apologies for your loss, my heart, is with you, they shall watch over your actions, from above”

The teacher stood cleaning his clothes

“So? how much did i score” asked Lord Kailer

“10” said the teacher as “If you are consoling a fish!”

“I am not teaching you how to memorise the sentences! You need to feel the words go from you stomach! Up to your skull, brain, nose and then from your mouth to the outside”

Said the teacher touching his tongue with his finger

“You need them to go out of your heart!” he said as his finger pulled the salvia out covering the lord’s clothes in it

“You just look like you don’t care at all,” said the teacher

“I don’t” replied Lord Kailer as a little giggle broke through Torden’s teeth

“But how will you console meeeee!” said the teacher puking out all emotions with his fingers ripping his chest clothing

“I won’t” replied Lord Kailer as another giggle broke out

“Have you never felt saaad!” his forehead touching the lords as their eyes met

“I haven’t” a big giggle broke out, Torden shut it out quickly acting as if nothing happened

The both of them were shocked, Lord Kailer stared the window to see his wife jumping in happens before falling into the bush, before he could get up and check on her, she raised her hand saying

“I’m fine!” standing up with sticks and leaves over her hair

Torden giggled once more, and this one lasted a little longer, just enough for lord Kailer to have a small smile across his face
