Ai ren = Beloved.

Baobei = Baby, treasure.

Bendan = Stupid, idiot. Literally, it means 'stupid egg'. It can be used as a term of endearment between couples.

Chromodynamics = A branch of physics dealing with the study of the strong nuclear force.

CLO = Chief Legal Officer.

Da-jie = Eldest sister. A formal term.

Er-jie = Second sister. A formal term.

Fen-jie = (Given name + jie) is how one addresses one's older sister. Can also be used for older female acquaintances.

Ger = A Mongolian tent.

Jie = Older sister. Can also be used for older female acquaintances.

Jie-fu = Brother-in-law, older sister's husband.

Laogong = Husband.

Li Jiaoshou = Professor Li.

Li Wei = In many eastern cultures the family name is written first, followed by the given name. Here Li is the family name. Wei is his given name.

Stick figures with lots of squiggly lines = Feynman diagrams. A computational tool used in quantum electrodynamics and other fields related to the study of subatomic particles.

Wei-ge = Literally, it means older brother Wei. (Given name + ge) is a term that can be used for older brothers, older male relatives, or older male acquaintances.

Weiwei = A pet name that is derived from doubling a given name (Weiwei is the doubling of Li Wei's given name). It shows affection and endearment.

Wei'er = (Given name ' er) is a highly affectionate term used by someone older to refer to someone younger. It is usually used by mothers to refer to their children.

Xiao-Mei = Xiao means little, and Mei is her given name. Xiao-Mei means little Mei. (Xiao + given name) is an affectionate form of address used by someone older to refer to someone younger.

Zao An = Good morning.
