ARC-4 NOH-0 L1C5 (Arcanoholics)

Rain fell inside the 4th human Arc, Em was on her way to the ARC-4 NOH-0 L1C5 bar. The name is pronounced Arcanoholics, but is spelt the way it is because of its location being in the 4th Arc of humanity’s living area, inside the North Outer Hall 0 and in Section L, Warehouse 1, Unit C5. After the outbreak of Psyco-Alcoholic Manifestations (PAM) in the late 2040’s, Humanity were forced to move all bars and other establishments that wished to serve alcohol into separated districts now named the Outer Halls, so that those who wished to drink still could, but the general population was kept safe by distance. However North Outer Hall-0 was a failed experiment and prompted the 4th Arc government to abandon the area and start construction of a new set of Outer Hall’s that never came to be complete. Now North Outer Hall-0 was a place where those with ties to the Mob’s, Fight Gangs and corrupt Police all decide to dwell and drink causing mass damage and a fair few territories. The bars are used as safe places to co-ordinate attacks or to have peace talks with rivals, Em however was going to challenge the status-quo and attempt to change all of that and take all of NOH-0 for herself. And so, this story starts on that rainy night in Arcanoholics, where those chasing the high of PAM come to drink and more importantly, come to fight.

“Bartender, one Fireball please.” Em spoke with a conviction and commanding authority, and within a few seconds she had her first drink.
The drink that would set her plan in motion, with one swift motion the shot was taken and the effect materialised into Em’s hand. Just as quickly as she had gained her power it was hurled across the main room of the bar at a table currently hosting peace talks between two small rival gangs of the area, the Spooky Crew and the Shin Devils. As the fireball landed square in the center of the table both sides jumped back, and fists and words started flying.
With an indomitable air of calmness Em spoke again “Bartender this time a revolver.”
And once more within the blink of an eye it was done, Em now had her weapon to join this brawl and thus walked on over gun level, eyes focused and then… Gunsmoke filled the air in front of Em, the onlookers stunned and the remaining gang members from both sides in shock. The paralysis of the moment was only for a moment before the attacks continued both the gangs still fighting each other and Em fighting both sides. In the wee but bloody dance that ensued the remaining bar patrons witnessed something monumental, especially as Em had come out bloody and bruised but the victor declaring but one challenge.

“Whom ever you work for, be it yourself, a gang, the mob or even the police. You may challenge me here, I will stake all I own, and I hope you will stake portions of territory for the chance to get at my secrets.”

And as cooly as she’d walked in from the rain Em once more returned to the bitter cold and damp, leaving the bar in a state of chaos and each person still standing trying to exchange information to pass on to their bosses or for their own personal desires. Em had only made it 30 paces from the bar before the Rats wanted a word about the events inside.

“Hey sweet-stuff, we’re with Arc-4 Police I’m gonna hafta ask ya to stop right there and come with us. As we have a few questions about your lil stunt just now.” The first officer asks as Em tries to sneak into the shadows of the alleyways and rain.
“Fine, what do you want to know. I’ll answer if I know it.” Em responds knowing her evening just got longer than planned.
“Well first off, why’d you go and irritate a peace talk? We may be in on the corruption ‘round ‘ere but we still wanna protect the place.” The officer pulls out a notebook ready to note down what Em say’s for his record.
“I also want to change things around here, my methods are just a bit more… How should I say, violent and to the point. If I take all the territory that’s been divvied up for myself then I rule the entire Hall and so I get to make the rules.” Em responds in her unshakeable calm tone.
“I see.” The officer responds rather taken aback at Em’s bluntness about the situation, usually people lie or try bribes at this stage. Regaining his confidence a bit “And starting a bar fight was the best way to do that?”
“Yes.” Em reply’s curtly.
“Ah, uh, ok.” The officer stands in the rain almost dumbfounded by Em’s blunt responses. “So, your goal was to announce yourself to the area and your challenge for territory?”
“Now you’ve got it. It’s getting late so can I go now?”
“Sure.” The officer says without thinking all too much, before he can call out to Em. She’s already gone and become one with the gloomy night descending on the NOH.
