Chapter 41:

Valmiki vs Aghori — The Last Stand of the Saint

Rudra Singha

The valley was quiet again, but it was not a peaceful quiet.

It was the quiet before a storm.

Valmiki stood on one side, tired and breathing heavily. His golden aura flickered like a candle almost out of oil. The ritual had drained most of his strength.

Aghori stood on the other side, shaking with rage. His staff cracked with purple lightning. His eyes were bloodshot, like a wild beast ready to attack.

The sky above them had returned to normal, but the air still felt heavy, as if the shadows themselves were watching.

Valmiki said softly,
“Aghori… this must stop.”

Aghori grinned, showing his sharp teeth.

“Stop? No. YOU will stop. Forever.”

He lifted his staff and the ground beneath him cracked open.

Purple flames burst from the cracks.

Shadow energy flowed around him like a tornado.

Valmiki took a steady breath.
He tightened his fingers around his staff.
His tired eyes became sharp again.

The final battle had begun.

Aghori’s First Attack

Aghori swung his staff forward.

A wave of dark energy shot out toward Valmiki like a fast-moving storm.

The attack twisted the air, turning everything purple.

Valmiki lifted his staff and drew a simple golden circle in front of him.

A shield appeared—thin, but strong.

The dark wave hit the shield.

BOOM!!!

The explosion shook the entire valley.
Rocks flew everywhere.
Dust covered the sky.

Valmiki slid back several steps, struggling to keep his balance.

Aghori laughed loudly.

“You’re weak, old man! That ritual drained your life!”

Valmiki answered calmly,
“Weakness means nothing when the world is at stake.”

Aghori snarled and rushed forward.

Close Combat — Light vs Darkness

Aghori swung his staff at Valmiki like a mad warrior.

Valmiki blocked the strike.

CLANG!

The sound echoed like metal hitting metal, even though both staffs were made of magical energy.

Aghori attacked again.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Every hit was filled with anger.
Every swing carried shadow power.

Valmiki countered with smooth, precise movements.

He did not waste energy.
He did not move too much.
He blocked only what was necessary.

But Aghori was faster.

Stronger.

And raging like a storm.

Aghori jumped and tried to strike Valmiki’s head.

Valmiki dodged and tapped Aghori’s chest with the other end of his staff.

A small burst of golden light shot out.

Aghori flew back several meters and crashed into a rock.

He stood up immediately, laughing.

“Good hit, Saint. But you still cannot win!”

Aghori Unleashes the Forbidden Form

Aghori raised both hands.

The shadows around him gathered and wrapped his body like armor.

His skin turned darker.
His fingers grew longer.
Purple cracks appeared all over his arms.
His teeth sharpened.
His eyes turned fully black.

He had entered the Shadow Beast Form—a forbidden transformation.

Valmiki frowned.

“You will destroy your own soul like this.”

Aghori screamed,
“My soul belongs to darkness already!!!”

He charged forward.

This time, he was much faster.

Valmiki barely dodged the first strike.

The second strike hit his arm.

CRACK!

Valmiki winced. Blood trickled down.

Aghori spun and kicked Valmiki in the chest.

The saint flew back and crashed into a tree.

He coughed heavily, dust rising around him.

Aghori slowly walked toward him.

His voice was deeper now.

“You’re done, Valmiki.”

Valmiki stood up painfully.
He wiped blood from his lips.

“No… Aghori. Not yet.”

Valmiki’s Hidden Technique — The Sage’s Vision

Valmiki closed his eyes.

For a moment, the world around him went silent.

He ignored the pain.
He ignored the blood.
He ignored the fear.

He reached deep inside himself.

He found a spark.
A small golden flame.

The last bit of his spiritual energy.

He opened his eyes.

They were glowing bright gold.

Aghori paused for a moment.

“What… is this?”

Valmiki spoke softly,
“The Sage’s Vision. A technique I hoped I’d never need.”

Golden energy spread from Valmiki’s body.

But unlike Aghori’s wild power, Valmiki’s light was calm—like the morning sun spreading over a mountain.

Aghori roared and attacked.

But this time—

Valmiki saw everything.

The movement of Aghori’s hands.
The path of the dark energy.
The direction of his feet.

Valmiki dodged every attack with perfect timing.

He was no longer fighting with his body.

He was fighting with clarity.

With wisdom.

With experience collected over many lifetimes.

Aghori shouted angrily,
“STAND STILL!”

Valmiki calmly answered,
“I cannot let you win.”

He raised his staff.

Golden chains appeared in the air.

They wrapped around Aghori’s arms and legs.

Aghori struggled, but the chains held him tightly.

“LET ME GO!”

Valmiki whispered,
“Aghori… please stop before you lose yourself completely.”

Aghori screamed in rage,
“I WILL NEVER STOP! I AM DARKNESS!”

Aghori Breaks Free — The Final Phase

Aghori’s body shook violently.

The shadow armor cracked.

Purple fire erupted from his skin.

The golden chains shattered.

Valmiki stepped back, surprised.

Aghori’s voice became monstrous.

“You cannot bind me… SAINT!!!”

He raised his hands.

A giant sphere of darkness formed above him.

It grew bigger and bigger.

It was like a tiny black sun.

It sucked the light from the air.

Valmiki felt pressure on his chest—like a mountain pressing down.

This was Aghori’s ultimate spell—

The Shadow Collapse.

If Aghori dropped it, the entire valley would be wiped out.

Valmiki whispered,
“This attack… it will kill you too.”

Aghori laughed, madness echoing through the valley.

“THEN I DIE AS A LEGEND OF DARKNESS!!!”

He threw the black sphere downward.

Valmiki’s Last Light

Valmiki knew he had only one option left.

He planted his staff in the ground.

Golden light burst out like a fountain.

He gathered every drop of energy he had left.

Every memory.
Every prayer.
Every ounce of strength.

He raised both hands toward the sky.

A golden dome formed above him.

The Shadow Collapse hit the dome.

The world exploded with light and darkness.

BOOOOM!!!

The blast shook mountains.
Trees vanished.
Rocks melted.

Valmiki screamed as the force pushed him down.

His knees hit the ground.

His hands shook violently.

The golden dome began to crack.

Aghori shouted with joy.

“BREAK! BREAK!!!”

Cracks spread across the dome like spider webs.

Valmiki felt his energy disappearing.

But he did not stop.

He pushed harder.

He whispered,
“For the world… for Rudra… for everyone…”

The dome began to glow again.

Brighter.

Stronger.

Aghori’s shadow sphere started collapsing inward.

“What?! NO!!”

Valmiki used the last of his strength.

He yelled:

“LIGHT—RISE!!!”

The golden dome exploded upward.

It swallowed the shadow sphere.

Aghori screamed as darkness was ripped apart.

In one blinding flash—

Everything disappeared.

Silence After the Storm

When the light faded, the valley was silent.

The ground was cracked and smoking.

The trees were gone.

The air smelled like burnt stone.

Valmiki kneeled on the ground, barely conscious.

His staff was shattered.

His robes were torn.

His breath was weak.

In front of him…

Aghori lay motionless.
His shadow armor was gone.
His body was burned and broken.

The threat of darkness was gone.

But Valmiki had paid a heavy price.

He whispered to the wind,
“It’s over… for now…”

Then he collapsed forward—

And everything went black.
