Chapter 24:

The Last Breath of the Demon King

The Master of Heroes

The golden battlefield glowed like a small sun.

Hero Kemp—fully awakened, glowing with pure gold—stood facing the Demon King, who was barely standing. Black smoke leaked from the Demon King’s wounds. His giant cracked sword dragged along the ground, leaving deep scars in the broken stone.

The heroes stood behind Kemp, exhausted but filled with hope.

Ayon whispered:

Ayon:
“He… he regained full control. Kemp is back.”

Sumit clenched his fists, proud and relieved.

Sumit:
“I knew he wouldn’t fall.”

Ajmal nodded with a gentle smile.

Ajmal:
“This is the real Hero Kemp… the real Buddhist.”

But the Demon King laughed.

Not with strength.

Not with confidence.

But with madness.

A deep, broken laugh.

Demon King:
“Haha… HAHAHA…
HERO KEMP…
YOU THINK YOU HAVE WON?”

Kemp said nothing.

He simply raised his spear.

The golden light around him grew brighter.

The Demon King stepped forward, dragging his sword.

Every step shook the ground.

Demon King:
“I… AM… DARKNESS ITSELF!!
EVEN IF I DIE…
THE WORLD WILL FALL WITH ME!!”

Ajmal whispered with a frown.

Ajmal:
“Be careful. He’s unstable… extremely unstable.”

But Kemp took a single calm step forward.

Kemp:
“Your time is over.”

The Demon King roared and rushed forward.

The Clash of Final Powers

The heroes jumped aside as the two giants collided.

BOOOOM!!!

A shockwave burst out, shaking buildings, cracking the earth, and ripping apart the clouds above. The sky flashed with gold and black thunder.

Ayon shielded his face.

Ayon:
“T-That power…! It’s even stronger than before!”

Sumit shouted over the noise:

Sumit:
“Don’t get close! We’ll be thrown away!”

Jirsong’s hair flew wildly in the wind.

Jirsong:
“That’s not a fight… that’s an explosion walking on legs!”

Ajmal held his staff tight.

Ajmal:
“It is the final clash of the greatest forces… light and darkness.”

Inside the storm of gold and black, Kemp and the Demon King fought without holding back.

Spear vs Sword.

Light vs Shadow.

Kemp swung his spear upward.

Kemp:
“Solar Break!”

A golden wave slashed up into the air.

The Demon King blocked with his giant sword, the black flames roaring.

Demon King:
“OBLIVION SLASH!”

The two attacks collided.

BOOOOOOOOM!!!

The explosion looked like a star exploding.

The battlefield trembled.

The Demon King Weakens

The Demon King stumbled back, coughing black blood.

But he still smiled.

Demon King:
“Even with your full power…
You cannot kill darkness, HERO!”

Kemp didn’t hesitate.

He sprinted forward—his speed so fast that even Ayon barely saw him.

Kemp appeared in front of the Demon King and drove his knee into the Demon King’s chest.

CRACK!!

The Demon King flew back dozens of meters, smashing through a collapsed building.

Dust rose everywhere.

Alir covered her mouth.

Alir:
“I-Is he… defeated?”

Ajmal narrowed his eyes.

Ajmal:
“No… not yet.”

From the dust, the Demon King rose again.

Wounded.

Bleeding.

Barely holding his sword.

His legs shook.

His breath was heavy.

But his hatred was stronger.

Demon King:
“You… CANNOT… KILL ME!!!”

Kemp pointed his spear at him.

Kemp:
“I won’t allow your darkness to harm anyone anymore.”

The Demon King’s Last Transformation

Suddenly…

The Demon King stabbed his own chest with his sword.

Everyone gasped.

Sumit:
“WHAT IS HE DOING?!”

Black energy exploded out, even darker than before.

The Demon King’s body twisted and cracked.

His shape changed into something monstrous—taller, covered in black spikes, eyes glowing red like burning coal.

He had become something beyond a king.

A final monster.

Ayon stepped back.

Ayon:
“This… this is impossible. He transformed again?!”

Ajmal paled.

Ajmal:
“He has sacrificed his life force.
This is his final form.”

The Demon King roared so loudly that the ground shattered.

Demon King:
“HERO KEMP…
NOW YOU FACE THE TRUE DARKNESS!!”

He charged with insane speed.

Kemp barely raised his spear in time.

They clashed—

BOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

The shockwave flung Sumit and Jirsong off their feet.

Ayon rolled across the ground.

Alir fell but quickly stood back up, trembling.

Serdihun 1 and 2 held each other tightly, scared.

Ajmal anchored his staff into the ground, trying not to get pushed away.

Ajmal:
“This power… it is beyond anything we have seen!”

Inside the storm of power, Kemp struggled.

The Demon King grabbed Kemp’s throat.

Lifted him.

And slammed him into the ground.

CRAAAAASH!!

Kemp gasped for breath.

The Demon King pressed his massive clawed foot on Kemp’s chest.

Demon King:
“YOU CANNOT BEAT ME!!
EVEN NOW… YOU ARE NOTHING!!”

His claws glowed black.

He raised them to stab Kemp’s chest.

Kemp’s eyes widened.

Ayon screamed:

Ayon:
“KEMP!!!”

But then—

The Heroes Step In

Lightning struck the Demon King’s back.

Jirsong:
“GET—AWAY—FROM—HIM!!!”

The Demon King hissed and turned.

Sumit jumped in with fire bursting from his fists.

Sumit:
“TAKE THIS!!”

He punched the Demon King’s face.

The Demon King stumbled for a second, surprised.

Alir fired a magical arrow made of light directly at the Demon King’s eye.

Alir:
“BACK OFF!!”

The arrow hit, forcing the Demon King to take a step back.

Serdihun sisters placed a healing field under Kemp.

Serdihun 1:
“He needs help now!”

Serdihun 2:
“Stay with us, Kemp!”

Ajmal raised his staff to the sky.

Ajmal:
“MAGIC ART: BINDING RINGS OF HEAVEN!!”

Golden chains shot from the sky and wrapped around the Demon King’s arms and legs.

The Demon King screamed.

Demon King:
“YOU DARE RESTRAIN ME?!”

Ajmal shouted back:

Ajmal:
“Only for a moment! Kemp—finish it!!”

Kemp’s eyes narrowed.

He stood up.

His armor glowed brighter than ever.

He raised his spear.

Kemp:
“Everyone…
thank you.”

He stepped forward.

The spear began gathering all the golden light in the area.

A giant sphere of energy swirled around him.

Even the sky turned gold.

Ayon stared in amazement.

Ayon:
“This… this is his strongest attack!”

Sumit grinned proudly.

Sumit:
“Show him what real light looks like!”

Jirsong smirked.

Jirsong:
“End this.”

Ajmal stepped back.

Ajmal:
“Hero Kemp… unleash your full power.”

Kemp lifted his spear high.

The golden sphere rose.

Bigger.

Brighter.

More powerful than anything before.

He pointed the spear at the struggling Demon King.

Kemp shouted:

Kemp:
“SOLAR ANNIHILATION!!!”

The golden sphere shot forward.

A massive beam exploded out, swallowing the Demon King completely.

The Demon King screamed, his voice fading inside the blinding light.

Demon King:
“NOOOOOOOOO—!!
I… AM… DARKN—”

His final scream cut off.

The light erased him completely.

The beam shot into the sky, bursting into thousands of golden sparks.

The battlefield fell silent.

The Demon King Falls

Kemp breathed heavily and lowered his spear.

His golden armor dimmed slightly.

Behind him, the heroes stared in disbelief.

Ayon whispered:

Ayon:
“He did it…
He really did it…”

Sumit wiped a tear.

Sumit:
“Buddhist… you monster of a hero… you actually won.”

The Serdihun sisters cheered.

Alir smiled softly.

Jirsong crossed his arms with pride.

Ajmal bowed his head respectfully.

Ajmal:
“The Demon King… has finally fallen.”

Kemp looked at his friends.

And smiled.

A quiet, peaceful smile.

Kemp:
“It’s over.”

But Ajmal’s expression suddenly changed.

He sensed something.

His eyes widened in fear.

Ajmal:
“No…
Not yet.”

The ground began to tremble again.

The sky cracked with black lightning.

A silent whisper filled the air.

A whisper that did not belong to the Demon King.

Something else was waking up.

Something older.

Stronger.

Darker.

Ajmal whispered:

Ajmal:
“…The real threat… is just beginning.”
