Take The Lead

—The Race has begun.

—All the cars went on full throttle as the cue for their start came off.
The Subaru WRX STI takes the lead at the beginning, right behind it was the Honda NSX Type R, the Mazda RX-7, the Mitsubishi 3000GT, the Lancer EVO, and at the very back was the Porsche 911.

—They all went through and passed the Toll Gates as they approached a soft turn.
The Subaru WRX STI performs a drift on the soft turn, along with the Honda NSX and Mazda RX-7, as the other racers follow.

—Vinne doesn’t know how to drift, so he resorts to using soft and quick turns. The road now is a straight line of 3.4KM before the soft turn. Lex overtakes the Honda NSX, taking the 2nd place. Vinne sees this and tries to do the same, just to have his openings blocked by the Mitsubishi 3000GT.

VINNE : “Shit..”

—At this part of the road, it was crowded with tons of civilians’ cars driving as the race wasn’t a private but instead an actual Illegal Street Race, unlike the last one Bron Takuda hosted, making it harder as the racers would need to overtake and avoid accidents during the race.

—The road here was wider. This allowed all the cars to be spread out now. With Lex with his Mazda RX-7 taking the first place as this gave him a bigger opening to gap the other racers.
The Subaru WRX STI is now at 2nd place, with the Honda NSX trailing it.
Not long after, the Mitsubishi 3000GT takes 2nd place as the driver takes the left side of the road where there were no racers in their way.

—Vinne, who’s currently in 4th place, kept his position with the Porsche 911 Carrera right beside him on the other end of the road. Vinne goes on full throttle with immediately switching gears at the correct times as he immediately gaps the Porsche 911 Carrera.
Lex in the lead approaches the soft turn and performs a drift as he pulls the handbrake and steers the wheel, performing a quick, swift drift on the soft turn as he immediately balances the steering wheel after passing the soft turn with the Mitsubishi 3000GT behind him.

LEX : “Still got it!”

—Vinne sees the Subaru WRX STI and the Honda NSX on the other end of the road. He again puts his car on full throttle as the Subaru WRX STI and the Honda NSX driver notice as they do the same, but with Vinne’s Twin-turbocharged Lancer EVO, it took no effort to gap them, giving him 3rd place in no time.
Vinne approaches the soft turn, but he didn’t drift. He went with a normal swift, soft turn.

—At this point, all other racers have passed the soft turn and are all now approaching the 2nd level road. This road has a long, soft turn, making it a curved road. Lex steers his wheel to the left and pulls the handbrake, performing a drift. He maintains his drift as long as the soft turn till he reaches the straight road to Yokohama Bay Bridge. The Mitsubishi 3000GT does the same,
Vinne sees this and tries doing the same, but he loses control of his steering, causing him to swerve. He immediately gains balance on his steering again and resorts to normal soft turning.

VINNE : “Fuck! Could’ve crashed!”

—He looks at his side mirrors, seeing the Subaru WRX STI, Honda NSX behind him, as all the racers continue to speed up.

—Approaching the Yokohama Bay Bridge. The Porsche 911 Carrera overtakes the Subaru WRX STI and the Honda NSX and is now right behind Vinne. Vinne sees this in his side mirror as he’s nervous about what the Porsche 911 Carrera driver will do next.

VINNE : -He got right behind me so quickly.. Fuck. I gotta be ready whenever he tries overtaking me.-

—The Yokohama Bay Bridge is long. Anything can happen.
With Lex on the lead, this makes him safe but vulnerable at the same time.
The Mitsubishi 3000GT goes right beside Lex’s Mazda RX-7.

LEX : “…?”

—The Mitsubishi 3000GT driver tries to corner Lex as they try to close in on Lex by steering slowly to the right, which is where Lex is, seemingly trying to get Lex to crash.
The Mitsubishi 3000GT immediately hard steers to the right and tries to crash into Lex. He notices this as he immediately speeds up to avoid it as the Mitsubishi 3000GT crashes onto the Bridge’s railings and crashes, but they kept speeding, making their right side door all dented and scratched.

LEX : “Now that’s a wild one.”

—Lex puts out a middle finger outside of his window.

LEX : “FUCK YOU!”
3000GT D. : “SHIT!”

—The Mitsubishi 3000GT driver speeds up and tries ramming into Lex’s rear end, but he speeds up even more to dodge it.

3000GT D. : “DAMN HELL'!”

—Vinne sees this all happening in front of him as he goes on the left side and speeds up, and then overtakes the Mitsubishi 3000GT to cover Lex.

VINNE : “I GOTCHU LEX!”

—Lex takes notice of this. He smirks as he looks at his rearview mirror.

LEX : “THANKS' KID!”

—The Mitsubishi 3000GT continues to touch the railings, slowing them down. All the other racers take advantage of this and overtake them.
Lex stays in 1st place, with Vinne behind as 2nd, the Subaru WRX STI as 3rd, the Honda NSX as 4th, and the Porsche 911 Carrera as 5th.

—They are now approaching the end of the Bridge and approaching their exit to the warehouse bay. Lex takes the first exit he sees with Vinne behind him, followed by the Subaru WRX STI and the Honda NSX. The other 2 racers take the other exit, only a few meters away from the 1st exit.
Lex turns left, exiting the elevated road system with the Subaru WRX STI behind him. Vinne continues to go straight but realizes it’s a one-way road where it’s the entrance for the elevated road system, as he has to take all the openings he can to avoid crashing into the cars. He’s followed by the Honda NSX, Porsche 911 Carrera, and the Mitsubishi 3000GT.

VINNE : “WRONG WAY! SORRY GUYS!”

—Lex and the Subaru WRX STI driver continue to go straight before turning left as Lex performs a quick drift on the turn. The road here is crowded with full of cars and pedestrians.

—Vinne continues going straight before turning left after passing by a huge warehouse building, turning left once again, entering the main road full of cars with the other 3 racers behind him.
He sees Lex’s Mazda RX-7 and the Subaru WRX STI by the distance as he speeds up, almost crashing into multiple cars, but he dodges them all.
In no time, He’s already right behind the Subaru WRX STI while the other 3 racers got stuck in traffic behind 2 huge trucks.

911 CARRERA D. : “Fuck my life bro.”
NSX D. : “GET OUT THE DAMN' WAY!”
3000GT D. : “STUPID FUCK TRUCKS!”

—Lex, Subaru WRX STI driver, and Vinne are all 3 in the lead. The road here is a straight line before the first right turn.
The Subaru WRX STI driver tries to overtake Lex, but she responds by covering their openings by following the steering of the Subaru WRX STI driver. Vinne sees this as he speeds up and sees an opening, and takes it.

—Lex sees this and celebrates.

LEX : “NICE ONE KID!”

—Vinne responds with multiple honks.

Vinne is now in the lead and is on the last straight line road before the finishing line.

WRX STI D. : “HUH..?!”

—Vinne is about to turn left into Honmoku Fishing Pier, but with a surprise. The Mitsubishi 3000GT comes out of nowhere and takes his spot. It turns out that he took a different route and a shortcut to immediately catch up.

VINNE : “…Shit!”

—Vinne continues to speed up, trying to overtake the Mitsubishi 3000GT’s speed. It was a close match as their speeds were so similar, till Vinne put it in 5th gear. His twin-turbocharged V8 ignores the turbo lag and immediately gaps the Mitsubishi 3000GT, taking the first lead once again!

3000GT D. : “FUCKER HAD ANTILAG!”
VINNE : “WOOOHOOOO!”

—Vinne passes the finish line, and right behind him is the Mitsubishi 3000GT.

—As soon as Vinne passed the line, everyone waiting was notified of the Cops heading to their location and were alerted of an illegal street race taking place.

VINNE : “I won..”

—Everyone panics and runs into their cars as they hear Police sirens in the distance.

VINNE : “…What’s happening..?”

—Jayce approaches Vinne.

JAYCE : “Cops comin'.. Gotta run!'
VINNE : “EH..?!”
ETHER : “Head back to the garage.. Congrats though.”

—Everyone runs into their cars and begins making a run to escape the scene. Cops pull up on the finish line with Vinne putting his car on full throttle and making a run for it towards the Yokohama Port Symbol Tower.
4 cops chase him, but he immediately makes a left turn onto the U-Turn road. He continues speeding up before reaching the main road once again with the 4 cops behind him.

VINNE : “REALLY..?! NOW?!”

—Vinne continues speeding as he approaches the road under an elevated road. He sees Erina on top of the elevated road with 4 car wheels while streaming on her phone.

ERINA : “Watch this chat!”
VINNE : “Wha-?!”
ERINA : “HINOKAMI NO KAGURA, HEKIRA NO TEN!”

—Erina lights up all 4 wheels that’re covered in gasoline with a lighter and drops all 4 wheels, hitting all the cop cars.

VINNE : “WHAT THE-?!”

—Vinne speeds up, getting far away from the cops as the cop cars were crushed by the 4 flaming wheels Erina had dropped, they were all on fire as the cops went out of their vehicles and started screaming.

COP1 : “YOU’RE UNDER ARREST WHEN WE CATCH YOU!”

—Vinne looks at his side mirror as he sees and hears this. He just laughs and continues to speed up.

VINNE : “AHAHHAHAHAAHAHAH! FUCK YOU!”

—Lex is stuck at traffic near where this all happened.

LEX : “That bitch is wild~”

—Everyone else from the meetup and the race fled the scene to avoid getting arrested.

—Vinne arrives at the garage not long after the cop chase.

VINNE : “ERINA! THAT WAS SOME WILD SHIT!”
ERINA : “I, Erina, The savoir of Vin-ee Aylron!”
ETHER : “What happened..?”
LEX : “Bitch on' crack dropped literal Hotwheels on the cops that were after Vinne.. Badass move not gonna lie~”
JAYCE : “Classic Erina..”
ERINA : "In the words of my great great granddad... I am the danger."
LEX : “Walter Erina.”

—Vinne sits on the nearby couch on the side of the garage beside Jayce.

JAYCE : “How was the race?”
VINNE : “For a first race.. I won, surprisingly.”
JAYCE : “Hahaha.. You clutched!”
LEX : “You know he blocked the way from that 3000GT from trying to ruin my rear bumper..”
JAYCE : “Eh..? What happened?”
LEX : “Oh right.. You guys couldn’t see us pass the bridge. That 3000GT tried crashing me by the railings of the bridge.. Thankfully I sped up enough to dodge him so he crashed instead but he kept going trying to hit my bumper this time.”
JAYCE : “Must’ve been those high ego fuckers..”
LEX : “Yeah.. He even kept trying to bump my rear… Thankfully though, Vinne quickly overtook him as I gave him space to take that GT’s spot..”
JAYCE : “Good move on that, Vinne.. Did he try to hit you though?”
VINNE : “Nope.. He was stuck on the railings so his right side was just being scarped off by teh railings.”
JAYCE : “These high ego’s..”
LEX : “Haah.. I know right? They’re all hot shot and confident then in races, they’d do anything just to remain 1st place..”

—Vinne stares at his Lancer EVO 6.5.

VINNE : “Oh-.. yeah.. What about my money?”
JAYCE : “Damn.. We forgot about that.”
JAYCE : “YO! ETHER!”
ETHER : “Hah..?”
JAYCE : “Could you message Shial about the prize money?”
ETHER : “I didn’t race though.”
JAYCE : “Just message her!”
ETHER : “Am I getting a cut?”
ERINA : "If I message her, does that mean I get the money?"
JAYCE : “You’re not even in this.. Erina.”
VINNE : “Let’s be fair.. She did saved my life from some cops.. So…. I’ll slide her a cut of my prize money~”
ERINA : “Woah! You’re so generous~ This is why you’re my idol!"
VINNE : “I-.. Just a thank you for saving me from getting arrested back there haha..”
ETHER : “A-… HEY I RACED YOU! I LEGIT LET YOU WIN THAT DAY! PAY UP!”
VINNE : “Okay shut up, Cheapskate.”
ETHER : “Fuck you.”
ERINA : "Can I have her number?"
ETHER : “0981472881”

—Erina begins to type the phone number and types out a message.

ERIRI : we're at ayl engine shop
SHIALLU : Will that be all?

SHIALLU : Sorry ma'am but our cash prize money is broken
ERIRI : dangit
ERIRI : again?
SHIALLU : Mhm, the police broke it just tonight and we haven't had the time to fix it
ERIRI : ah dang that's
