Guardian Chamber – 4:20 p.m.

Kira: Kid, why did you call us here? (She stepped through the portal into the Guardian’s chamber.)

Theo: The V.L. kidnapped my mom. (He held up a note they left, showing the location.)

We have to go save her.

Kira: Wait—knowing the V.L., this is definitely a trap.

Theo: Trap or no trap, I’m going. If—

Guardian: Kira is correct. And I’ve also received reports that Retina, Captain Brit, and Zabitro have escaped.

Theo: We can worry about them later. Saving my mom is top priority. (He transformed and leapt into the portal.)

Kira: There’s no way he’s going alone. We’d better follow him. (She and Decibolt transformed and went through the portal.)

At the V.L.’s Secret Entrance

Cartoon Kid: So, you decided to come.

Molecular Girl: It’s not like you can do anything on your own.

Cartoon Kid: Okay then—let’s go.

Decibolt: Wait. The entrance gate is wide open. This is most definitely a trap.

Cartoon Kid: You think I don’t know that? Trap or no trap, I’m going in. (He hopped on his hover disc; Molecular Girl and Decibolt followed.)

A Few Minutes Later

Cartoon Kid: This place is empty… I thought it’d be crawling with villains— (Suddenly, a laser blast knocked them off the disc.)

???: You want villains? You’ve got the best villains. (Retina, Captain Brit, and Zabitro stepped from the shadows.)

Zabitro: Radiax freed us from that cursed prison, and now we’re here to take revenge.

Cartoon Kid: Ugh, we don’t have time for this.

Captain Brit: Then you’d better make time. (He slammed his hammer into the ground, sending rocks flying.)

Cartoon Kid: Diamond Maiden! (She appeared.)

Diamond Maiden: Crystal Wall! (She blocked the rocks, then launched crystal blades from the wall.)

Retina: Pause Sight! (She covered one eye, the other glowing blue. The blades froze mid-air.)

Retina: Telekinetic Eye! (Her eye turned green; the blades reversed direction and slammed into the wall, shattering it and blasting the heroes back.)

Zabitro: Recenta, Sunbata, Jinjaku! (He summoned a Level 4 Zombie.)

Zombie: We meet again, Crystal Force. (He lunged and sprayed toxic gas, but Decibolt used a sonic blast to clear it before Theo kicked him down.)

Zombie: You’ve gotten a lot stronger…

Retina:…while we were rotting in prison.

Captain Brit: But with all three of us, you don’t stand a chance! (He swung at Diamond Maiden, but she caught the hammer and threw him back. He adjusted his monocle, firing a laser—she blocked it with her hand.)

Molecular Girl: Decibolt, take the zombie. Diamond Maiden, handle the hammer guy. I’ll take Retina.

Decibolt vs. Level 4 Zombie (The zombie punched twice, but Decibolt caught both blows.)

Decibolt: Your super strength isn’t so super against me. (He blasted the zombie down with a sonic wave.)

Zombie: I’ve got more tricks! (He zipped around using super speed, spraying toxic gas. Decibolt held his breath, used Deci-Locate, and blasted him with a sonic disc.)

Decibolt: I’ve seen all your so-called tricks. (The zombie summoned Level 1 zombies—Decibolt punched them into dust.)

Decibolt: These didn’t work before. What makes you think they’ll work now?

Zombie: Urgh! (He summoned a bow, coated arrows in toxic gas, and fired. Decibolt dodged easily.)

Zombie: Take this! (He threw an axe—Decibolt caught and broke it. The zombie pulled a chainsaw, but Decibolt kicked it away, then destroyed it with a sonic blast before knocking the zombie down.)

Diamond Maiden vs. Captain Brit (She blocked his laser blasts with a crystal wall, then crystal arms grabbed him from below.)

Diamond Maiden: Now this—this is how you use a hammer. (She smashed him down with a crystal hammer.)

Captain Brit: I’m Captain Brit, the legendary mercenary! I won’t be bested by a summoned hero!

Diamond Maiden: Crystal Chains! (She bound his legs, spun him in the air, then hurled him into the ground.)

Diamond Maiden: Looks like you have been bested.

Captain Brit: It’s not over until I’m six feet under.

Diamond Maiden: You just don’t learn, do you? Maybe if I take away that big hammer, your ego will shrink. (She crystallized it and shattered it, then pummeled him with punches and a kick to finish him.)

Molecular Girl vs. Retina (Retina hurled a boulder with telekinetic eye power; Kira destroyed it with a kinetic punch. Retina leapt to strike, but Kira kicked her back.)

Retina: Hypno Eye! (Her yellow eye paralyzed Kira.)

Retina: Laser Eye! (She blasted her back.)

Retina: Stronger than before? Doesn’t look like it.

Molecular Girl: Then I’ll get serious. (She launched a full-body repulsion blast, knocking Retina upward, then followed with another strike to the ground.)

Retina: H-how… even my six-second foresight couldn’t predict your moves.

Molecular Girl: Then I guess you can’t dodge this—Kinetic Punch Barrage! (She hammered Retina down.)

After the Fights

Decibolt: It’s over for you three.

Retina: Not yet—we have one last move!

Zombie: Toxic Fog!

Captain Brit: Laser Cannon!

Retina: Spiral Cannon!

Diamond Maiden: Crystal Wall!

Molecular Girl & Decibolt: Molecular–Deci Shield! (They blocked the combined attack.)

Decibolt: Our turn! Sonic Storm!

Molecular Girl: Kinetic Punch Barrage!

Diamond Maiden: Crystal Spears! (Their attacks reduced the zombie to dust and knocked out Retina and Captain Brit.)

Molecular Girl: Where’s Zabitro?

Cartoon Kid: Right here. (He tossed the unconscious villain beside the others.) Now let’s go.

The Inner Chamber (They hovered down a corridor. A light appeared ahead—inside, Sand Tomb sat at a table with the four C.Os. Radiax, the goblins, and the V.L. stood waiting.)

V.L.: So, you’ve finally arrived.

Cartoon Kid: Where’s my mom?

V.L.: You’ll see her soon. But first… don’t you want to know what I’ll do with all these C.O.s? There’s a forbidden text that explains how to merge them—and the rare component needed was NaCl.

Molecular Girl: Sodium chloride? That’s just salt. That’s not rare at all.

Decibolt: In the mortal realm, no. But in the Crystal Realm, it’s extremely rare.

V.L.: Exactly. And now… I’ll merge all five C.O.s into one Mega C.O.!

Radiax: We only have four.

V.L.: Are you sure? Looks like you’ve got one yourself.

Radiax: You can’t take my C.O.! I’m your right-hand man!

V.L.: You’ve never been my right hand. You’re just another pawn in my mind game—so eager to take others’ C.O.s, but never wondering what I’d do with yours. Be honored—you’ll die for my cause. (He killed Radiax without mercy, taking his C.O.)

V.L.: Sand Tomb, merge them.

Sand Tomb: On it. (He poured the salt solution over the five C.Os. They merged into a scepter, which V.L. seized.)

V.L.: Yes… yes! I can feel my power amplifying! Chosen one—if you want your mother, come fight me! (Theo charged; the two vanished into a cloud of black smoke.)

Molecular Girl: We have to follow him!

Flame goblin: You’ll do no such thing.

goblins: goblinic Triple Combine! (The three goblins merged into one monstrous form.)

goblins: You’ll be too busy fighting us.

Meanwhile – Old Man Pete’s Junkyard

V.L.: We’re back where it all began. And this… is where it will all end.
