Chapter 3:
Restorers of LOGIC
Returning back home in this new world, is a feeling that feels both abnormal while also making everything happening seem like a bad dream, as waiting at the place you call home after a long day is a surprise home cooked meal. Made by Saya another team’s leader a good friend of Kakōgan. After eating, the group were called to the top floor to give a report on the day’s activities to the head of the Restorers, Karasudane. The debrief lasted only half an hour, but to those involved it felt like years, as the matter of tank deployment had to be discussed and a plan determined on what to do when encountering a tank deployment. As after the little show put on by the Red October at the food drop point, the consensus was they would become more common and as it currently stands there is no way to deal with the tanks in the Restorers armoury. The settled upon plan for now, is just flee the A.O. as soon as one is heard or seen by any member of a squad and if you have to abandon the drop or location you’re at then so be it, better to be alive than dead. After the meeting the team were finally allowed to return to the barracks to sleep. Tomorrow would bring a meeting that would likely include the planning phase for taking a critical FPMCCG forward base in the city of Ōtārū. While three team members were getting some hard-earned rest, their leader however, was remembering something less than pleasant. During the initial panic and confusion caused by the outbreak, and after his parents died, him and is sister decided to seek out their uncle who lived in Ōtārū. Approaching the city’s checkpoint, they became separated and neither have seen the other since. Kakōgan met with others making the journey to the city and one by one they reached their destination or were taken. Having made it to the address of the uncle he had also succumbed to the virus, and anything he had of some value had been taken by looters who had broken into his house during the time between him dying and Kakōgan’s arrival, in the hopes of finding something they could use to help their own situation. Finally, Kakōgan joined up with his current friends and eventually the Restorers of LOGIC with the goal of finding out what happened to my sister after they were separated.
To that end the quest to find out what happened to Kakōgan’s sister the band of friends started to fight against the government that separated us in the first place. That’s what attracted the attention of the Restorers who originally approached in a semi menacing way. Appearing soon after some FPMCCG were dispatched, they took their time in revealing who they were, eventually they revealed who they worked for and why they wanted to recruit the members of the Red October to help do it. So, the Red October became an official Restorers squad and started to help the settlements and win the population to our side. With that side quest to find the missing sister still on the agenda but put firmly the backburner until more information on what the FPMCCG do with prisoners is uncovered, along with the team making sure the orders from the Restorers are fulfilled. Being in a larger organisation with more access to information made the decision to join up more worthwhile.
