Ange ignores the vein popping from my head and holds out her arms as if preaching to the masses.

"Therefore, it would be in your best interests to share the cookies out. For example, with yours truly!"

"And why would I share them with you?"

"The reason is simple…"

She rotates her neck to look up into my eyes. Those pools of brown are filled with limitless confidence, prepared to unleash an ability that she no doubt tested against her father. Ange points at her cheeks and winks with a wide smile.

"Because I'm cute!"

"You brat!"

"AH—!"
