"so… reverend, today is the day when young turner will have his first official hunt yes?"The voice of New Yorks bishop came over the phone as the old cowboy sat at his desk in his office of the wedding chapel.
"Yes-" he gripped his phone while placing down a few cards for his game of solitaire.
"The boy has gotten much better at fighting this past month, he's not on the level of my other student, bishop Elwood's daughter, but I'm certain he can deal some real damage to a few monsters who try and mess' with em' " The old man grinned.
"Of course, especially after everything that happened last month… however, has he been able to use his seal anymore?"
The old man placed down a few more cards, then scratched his chin for a moment."Well, no… I suppose it's because he hasn't been in any situations where it can manifest. But I did tell you before… the kid was able to summon the weapon when he fought against Nicolai wretthers and his sect of the cult of mal."
The bishop took in a deep breath, as if trying his best to except the situation, Billy could tell it was hard for him. After all the appearance of the seal, and jack being able to summon the sword ment that he was close to completing his plan, and that the boy was fated to stop him, or at least try…
Wether or not he'd succeed was up to the almighty himself. "Whatever the case, make sure that the boy will be ready when the time comes."
"Of course… just… don't lay the burden on him so fast ok?"
"It's not us who put this burden on him…Keep us informed, we'll be seeing you reverend Maxwell-"
"Yeah… " the bishop hung up, bill placed his phone down and let out a sigh when Lisa and jack walked in. "Hey bill, you ready to go?"Sed lisa as she stood in front of the fire place in his office.
Jack stood in the doorway, the old man looked at the boy, and for a second he thought he saw her in his eyes.
He let out another deep sigh and leaned back. "How bout' you kids go on without me, Lisa make sure that jack doesn't get into too much trouble like last time-"
Jack spoke up. "Hey I didn't… well actually yeah, but still I can handle myself… "
Lisa looked back ane smirked. "Oh yeah? Where was this talk this morning? You were pretty weary about going back to undertown after all that."
"Well y-yeah but… whatever, let's just go!" Jack crossed his arms, Lisa walked up to him and gave him a headpat. "Don't worry, Lisa will protect you ehehe~"
"Geez-"
Lisa looked back. "You sure you don't wanna come with us?" The old man closed his eyes.
"I'm fine, just bring me back some wong tongs from the Chinese place, and stay out'a trouble hear?"
Lisa chuckled. "There pronounced won ton's bill, and don't worry, I'm already watching my jack like a hawk all the time, aren't I sweetly?"She giggled and walked behind him and hugged around jacks neck.
"Yeah… don't worry, I'm pretty sure she won't let me out of her sight. See ya Billy-"
"Bye bill."
The old man opened his one eye watching as the two teenage hunters left his office."God be with him, both of em."
