Chapter 51:
Voces of The Eternity
Rosa’s entire demeanor started to shift as a similar pressure began to spread out from her body, colliding with the entity's.
As if sensing the shift behind, Diana Immediately tired to speak, slowly parting her lips but not a sound escaped her. Her vocal cords simple wouldn't vibrate.
‘What’s going on? The last thing I can recall is falling through the storeroom floor. How did lady Morrigan get here and what is this thing?’
She tried to force her eye shut, muscles screaming as she strained against the unseen grip locking her gaze in place, but the effort seemed meaningless. The pressure in her mind only deepened, pinning her consciousness like an insect beneath glass.
The world around her shook violently.
The pupil diluted as an oppressive surge of malicious intent flowed outward and the pressure exploded across the city like an invisible tide.
The stormy sky warped as the world acknowledged the presence of two beings beyond nature, soon every mundane citizen dwelling in a twenty-meter radius found their minds shattering and their lives crushed as their heads exploded under the chaotic Intent.
For the unlucky few, whose minds hadn't shattered they were then assaulted by incomprehensible ravings and visions of flying crows.
Yet Morrigan’s expression remained unmoved.
She gazed at the eye behind the door not with fear, but with contempt.
With each step she took, Rosa’s bones broke, reshaping until more and more frozen patches of Harvey’s flesh peeled away and rapidly healed, restoring Rosa’s original appearance.
Her black hair flowed gracefully in the wind, softly revealing a pair of golden eyes. The falling rain and dirty water on the ground distorted around her as if reluctant to touch what now wore Rosa’s flesh. Reaching out, she placed a hand upon Diana’s shoulder.
The moment her fingers made contact, Diana felt like a sailor who found land after being lost in high tides.
She gasped sharply as the pressure and her physical wounds vanished in an instant. Her vision cleared, the eye’s command severed as though the chain pulling her deeper into the abyss had been cut.
“I’ll send you to the target” Morrigan said calmly. “There is still time. He hasn’t gotten far.”
With a pale face and startled expression, Diana quickly lowered her head nervously in worry.
‘Lady Morrigan should be capable of handling the threat on her own but who knows how much damage Rosa’s body will sustain. If I leave and something goes wrong I....’ Diana’s thoughts halted fpr a moment as she felt the golden gaze lingering on her.
‘Why am I hesitating so much? If it was Rosa, I’m sure she would follow her orders without question… Rosa would want me to complete the mission.’
After a brief internal struggle, Diana took a deep breath, stowed away her sentimental thoughts and reluctantly agreed to followed her orders.
With her faith in Morrigan and Rosa’s judgment overriding her doubts. Diana nodded once and her vision went lack for a moment as her figure faded from the spot.

A couple blocks away, the contractee slipped free from the shadows and stumbled onto the soaked road. Feeling he was out of danger, the man dismissed the armor, revealing a new black dress shirt, soaking as he staggered forward and leaned his weight against a steel post.
“Those bastards… Ughh… Now I will need to go Into hiding!”
“I’ll have to lie low for a few days before I can restablish my business… Years of My Handwork Ruined!!” Gritting his teeth, he pressed a trembling hand to his side and triggered his regeneration. Flesh stirred and crawled beneath his skin, knitting slowly.
Huff…ughh... Huff!
He tilted his head back, letting the rain wash the blood from his face while he drew in ragged breaths, watching the downpour.
He barely had time to steady himself.
The sound of something landing a few paces behind him cut through the rainfall.
In an Instant, Diana’s figure appeared at the edge of his mystic sense and his heart almost stopped. Even with the short distance between them, it was clear to him that her wounds had somehow miraculously healed.
The air then shifted as she closed the distance.
“HOW!? That being should have ripped the flesh of your bones… How is this possible???” Panic flared in his green eyes and without a second thought he swung his hand in her direction to cast a wind spell.
However, nothing happened.
‘His usable spiritual energy is spent. The summoning had drained him far more than he realized.’
Diana snorted coldly, then grabbing his outstretched hand, she twisted sharply until the bone gave with a pop, and drove her foot into the center of his chest.
"Ahhhh!!"
A pained cry tore from his throat as she released his broken wrist, letting him tumbled backwards. The back of his head hit the ground hard, and he began coughing blood as rain splashed over him.
“Don’t do anything stupid. It’s over for you,” Diana threatened coldly. Advancing cautiously, she assessed his condition with a trained eye.
His left arm was rendered completely useless, hanging limp by his side. His right arm had been crudely severed but from the burnt edges of the wound she had a suspicion that she was also the one responsible. The Spiritual energy reserves available to him were nearly empty. If he tried to cast any more spells or use any skills, he would surely undergo a mutation and lose himself completely.
He should have been finished.
Yet instead of pleading or trying to flee, the man lifted his head up and shouted hoarsely.
“Devour her!” his voice cracked with desperation. “Kill everything! Tear it all apart!”
Upon hearing his words, Diana raised her guard, flames beginning to gather instinctively around her arm.
Her brows furrowed as she tried to comprehend what the man was trying to achieve in his current condition.“He’s lost his mind,” she muttered. "He doesn’t have the energy left for–"
Suddenly a woman’s laughter rang out.
It was soft at first, echoing unnaturally through the narrow street.
“Oh, you truly are hopeless,” the voice said, dripping with mockery. “Did you truly think I would help you now?”
The man’s eyes widened in fury. “You dare disobey!” he barked. “I am your master!”
"Master? Hahaha… Why should I help you after you’ve already caught the attention of two High sequence rankers? ” In response the laughter only deepened as the voice continued,“Wouldn’t it be easier for me to simply silence you?”
Before either of them could react, a violent rush of wind roared through the street from behind Diana. The buildings shuddered, the glass windows shattering as cracks formed across walls and the road.
The voice spoke again, almost grimly
“It seems the battle is already over”
Suddenly, Diana’s instincts screamed.
She and the contractee turned at the same time toward the source of the disturbance.
To their astonishment, a section of the street several meters away had begun to rise.
Stone groaned as the ground itself was torn upward, slabs of cobblestone and fractured earth peeling free as though seized by an invisible hand. At its center, the suspended gate trembled violently, the surrounding air distorting as space bent inward.
Then, with a deafening crack, the lifted terrain folded around the gate.
A massive cube, nearly twenty meters in height, formed in midair. Its dark surface was smooth yet devoid of any reflections. Rain vanished the instant it touched it, erased without sound.
For a single breath, the cube remained suspended.
Then it detonated.
A catastrophic surge of golden and crimson spiritual energy erupted outward, tearing through the street in every direction.
