Reincarnated as a Fisherman and a Dad Chapter 106

"We'll visit the bank tomorrow, once you return," Maya said as she carefully put the cheque in the cabinet. The cheque had no crease, which made her feel at ease. She treated money-related matters seriously and disliked carelessness when it came to important documents.

"How about we take the twins for a walk tomorrow? They might be bored staying in the villa the whole time," Karlos offered, thinking that a change of scenery would improve their mood. Since they were going to the bank, which was located at the town plaza, the center of the town, it might be a good opportunity for the twins to explore the place and experience the lively atmosphere filled with people. They could also visit the clothing store and buy some clothes for the family.

"Let's take pictures," Karlos added.

"Let's bring the whole family then," Maya agreed, feeling warmth in her chest. She also wanted a family picture, especially since Arabella and Iñigo were going to turn one year old in two weeks.

"I bought fruits, let's eat some."

"Let me reheat your lunch first."

Maya used the microwave comfortably now, having already adapted to the appliances. She was even interested in buying a microwave once their house was built, as she saw it as a practical investment. Lately, Mrs. Wanda thought her how to bake.

Once everything was prepared, Karlos ate his lunch. He ate late today since he only arrived in the afternoon. Anyway, Karlos never declined food.

While Karlos was eating with gusto, Maya peeled a banana and watched him with affection. The way Karlos happily ate and chewed the rice and meat made Maya feel heated... She slightly bit her lip, trying to restrain herself.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Karlos asked.

"Nothing, I just want you to spit in my mouth." She looked at him with deep hunger, her tone daring and provocative.

Karlos almost choked and immediately grabbed the water, completely caught off guard. Maya rarely acted like this.

"Keep looking at me like that and I'll put a baby in you, no, I'll put twins in you," Karlos said, deciding to fight back. It was his job to flirt, not the opposite way around, or so he believed.

"Is that so? That would be interesting," Maya replied. She blushed but continued eating the banana anyway, pretending to be calm. She knew she was being bold despite the embarrassment. For some reason, she just wanted to tease Karlos and enjoy his reaction.

Karlos shrugged and continued eating. However, his hands suddenly stopped as he recalled something important. His expression stiffened.

Maya was ovulating!

He calculated the days in his head and confirmed it.

'No wonder she's acting this way...' The realization dawned on him.

Karlos swallowed the food in his mouth. It seemed that he would be tired tonight. He had to accompany his wife until the end of her thirst, accepting his fate.

Maya grabbed an apple and took a bite out of it, it was crispy.

While the couple was eating, Arabella's nose started to twitch. She caught the scent of fruit, her instincts activating. She sniffed repeatedly until her eyes gradually opened. Groggily, she sat up and rubbed her eyes, still half-asleep.

Then, she found her parents eating.

Such betrayal.

How hurtful.

With pouty cheeks, she called her mother.

"Ma!"

Her voice was still weak and soft. She had stayed up all day because she wanted to see her father return to the villa. Her energy was spent playing the whole day until she became tired and fell asleep. The same situation happened to Iñigo, who shared her determination.

The twins cried hard when they witnessed their father leaving, so they were serious about staying up all day to welcome him, making a childish vow. Unfortunately, they were just babies who couldn't fight their physiology.

"Ma!" Arabella called again, her voice louder this time as she demanded attention. Her nose wrinkled as she caught the smell of food.

Maya turned around and sighed when she saw her daughter awake. She was sniffing hard like a little animal.

"... Were you a pig in your past life or something?" Maya laughed as she teased her chubby but lovely daughter. Arabella's nose was quite a talent.

Arabella didn't understand what Maya said, but she deemed it bad, especially since her parents ate without her, which she found unfair.

"Bad!"

"Here, I peeled a mango for you."

Ripe mango was delicious and soft enough for babies to eat, perfectly suitable.

Maya carried the girl and placed her at the table. She wanted to use a spoon to feed her, but it seemed Arabella had a different plan as she reached forward.

Despite being sticky, the little girl grabbed the fruit without hesitation. The sweet taste made her eyes widen in happiness. She feasted on the mango noisily, it was messy but adorable, and her parents didn't mind. Watching Arabella eat excitedly made them happy.

A few minutes later, Iñigo also woke up because of the noise. When he saw his sibling eating fruit without him, he also felt betrayed.

However, his disappointment quickly ended when his mother placed him beside Arabella and peeled a ripe mango for him.

Arabella's face was dirty, covered in yellow bits of mango.

Iñigo followed suit and also got dirty while eating. He was initially disgusted by the sticky sensation, but since it was food, he tolerated it.

Their faces and clothes became dirty. Maya's heart ached as she watched their clothes get stained even more. Fortunately, there was a washing machine in the villa, which eased her worries. Maya personally washed the twins' clothes just to keep herself busy.

In the middle of eating, Iñigo recalled how sad he felt when his father left earlier. Now that his father was back, he was naturally happy.

He decided to grab a handful of fruit and offer it to Karlos, wanting to share.

"Pa!"

"You want me to eat this?" Karlos asked.

He looked at Iñigo's small hand, covered in mango juice and crushed mango pulp. It was sticky and messy. He honestly found it disgusting.

However, seeing Iñigo's eager expression, Karlos had no choice but to accept it. He didn't want to disappoint his son, especially when the goodwill was so sincere.

"Put it on my plate."

He chuckled and rubbed Iñigo's head, making his hand sticky as well. Somehow, Iñigo's hair also had mango pulp in it.

The little boy was happy and slapped the mango pulp onto Karlos' rice. Karlos had no choice but to eat rice now covered in sweet mango and accept the strange flavor.

Furthermore, Iñigo added more, and Karlos continued to accept the goodwill even though he didn't like his rice tasting sweet and fruity.

Arabella also followed suit, although she only gave him a few bits of mango. For a glutton like her, giving even a small piece of food was already impressive. She was being generous in her own opinion.

Maya watched their interaction and smiled.
