Welcome To The Alchemy Club

Yesterday, I learned several things from Aloanna, who explained the parts I can't understand from the teacher's discussion. That's how I learned the reason why I can't use magic, and it's because of my mana path.
In this world mana exists, the reason why people in this world can use magic. Mana is similar to oxygen, something invisible, odorless and tasteless that is covering every part of this world. It's weightless too, in a sense it's a kind of energy more than a type of air. It permeates the skin and flow inside the humans' body through the mana path. Mana path is akin to the veins in our body but doesn't have any physical form, every living things in this world can feel their mana path since birth, the same thing also happened to my classmates when were first transferred to this world, they feel an unfamiliar thing is circulating inside their body, a strange but pleasant sensation, that's the first time they felt the mana that entered their body.
Except for me, since apparently my mana path is blocked, and because it's blocked the mana will only bounce when they make contact with my body, that's the reason I can't use magic. Yes, I'm a very rare case, a one in a hundred thousand chance of happening but I obtain it, what a luck I have.
I also learned a few other things like the existence of mana core, the one responsible for storing mana that is flowing inside the body so that it can be used for magic, another formless body part inside every living thing. Every person's mana core has the same size but the quantity of mana they can store is different, I don't know how that works, I guess you can't use logic on magic-related things. On humans' side, the mana core is usually located near the heart but there are people who's mana core is in a different location, like inside the brain or stomach.
Mana core is also the responsible for someone's firepower and how many times they can use magic spells. There are also several ways to expand the capacity of mana you can store but most of it is hard work.
After class, the Literature Club Trio and I hung out in a nearby mall, they told me about mana-related cases, diseases and stories. Erica also thanked me for helping her achieved one of her greatest achievement, I wanted to ask what achievement is she talking about but I stopped myself because I have a hunch that I can never go back if I ask her that question. She bought me a smartphone as a thank-you gift which I declined several times but she insisted, I have no choice but to accept her gift. That's when I learned she's from a very rich family, all three of them are very rich though. She also said that if I want something else she'll buy it for me, which I swiftly refused because I don't want her to be my sugar mommy.
We didn't even notice the time because we were having too much fun inside the mall and by the time we went out, we realized it's already dark outside. We exchanged contact numbers before we went our own ways.
Still I'm thankful for this smartphone since I don't have enough money to buy something like this. The king told us he'll help us live a stable life in this country but the thing he's talking about is our connection with people, for example is helping us get a job easily just by mentioning we are people from another world. In case of financial stability, the king can only give us money enough for daily necessities every month, that help will only last for five years. After the initial five years, we will need to earn the money on our own, for our own living.
That's exactly why I can't buy this kind of smartphone, the latest version developed by the WW Electronics Co., Ltd. A subsidiary of the WhiteWolves Group.
I don't have any idea yet on the difference of the money of this world from our world but I'm sure this costs a lot, just by looking at it. Even back in Japan, I haven't bought any expensive things since I'm a student, I don't think my parents can afford this either.
It works exactly like the smartphones in our world, I guess even in other worlds smartphones will still be created and continue to exist.

I initially planned to explore the club building today but I'll postpone that. I definitely didn't cancelled my plan because I want to play games with my new smartphone all day long... not at all.

The sound of the doorbell interrupts me from my leisure time. I absolutely don't expect anyone today so it must be someone who already knows where my room is, that exempts the Literature Club Trio since they didn't know where I'm staying nor messaged that they'll meet me. Then it must be someone from the school faculty, a teacher or maybe the principal, did I do something wrong? I didn't create any trouble right?
Not that I'm nervous of who's looking for me but I immediately stand up and opens the door, and the one standing there is...
"Hmmm, Hello." Who is this girl?
A girl with black hair, wearing glasses and a lab coat, with a very tired look. She looks like an office employee who recently get out of work after a long overtime.
"Hello, My name is-""Sorry, scams doesn't work on me." I tried to close the door but she immediately grabs me."I'm not a scammer.""I see... but I don't want to join any cult either." Her grip strength is very strong, I'm trying to close the door but she isn't budging at all."I'm not recruiting you to join a cult.""Then you must be one of those people, those who are trying to catch people from another world and conduct experiments on them." Exactly what Erica said, it seems I can't let my guard down for a moment."I'm not... I'm just trying to recruit you to join my club." She said with desperation."Really?""Really."

I also refused to join her club but she said she'll not move from her position unless I consider it, that's why I gave up. If we continue in that position, the door will not last long.
She's apparently the president of the Alchemy Club, without a choice I'm following her to her own club room which is located in the club building. I cancelled my plan to explore the club building but it seems I can't escape the fate that I created.
"You're really rude you know, calling me a scammer then a cultist, and then a mad scientist." I didn't call you a mad scientist."I can't help it, you look like one.""Oi." She's really angry. "Can't you see this beautiful face and body, you must be blind." She suddenly do a turn and after her turn, a sexy pose.
A sexy pose, is that what they call it? It is something that is closely resembling what she's doing, about thirty percent I guess, I can't feel the sexiness at all.
Although she's really beautiful just like she said. She has a very fair skin and a very large chest, it is at least G-cup base on my estimation, but her eye bags and naturally tired look really stands out.
"...and can't you see my school uniform underneath my lab coat?" True, but the lab coat stands out more than the uniform so my eyes is at fault here."Yeah, I already understand.""What's with that unamused reaction?" She pouts while pointing at me."...but Ms. President why are you recruiting me right now when you could've just start recruiting on the start of the new school year, and why me specifically?""Because I know for sure, there's no first year students that will join the Alchemy Club... you're the only one that can save this club, my only savior! You can even be a ghost member, so please join my club!" She looks at me with pleading eyes with her hands joined.
Suspicious, even if it's not me I'm sure some first years will be interested in alchemy, why is she completely sure that no first years will join her club?
"..." I give her a doubtful look.
Oh wait, I forgot that this school has an affiliated junior high school and college university. Most of the students coming to this school graduated from the junior high one. She doesn't looks like a transfer student so that means something happened when she was back in junior high.
Everything is solved, why am I so smart? Am I genius?
"C'mon fess up, what did you do?" I interrogates her but she avoids looking at me."Well... a little thing here and there... a little bit of commotion about explosions." She said while playing with her fingers, looking guilty.
That's not little at all.
"Let's forget about that since we're already here, Tada!" She said with excitement, trying to avert my question.
We stop in front of a room, a plate with 'Alchemy Club' written is posted above the door. The club building has the same design with the school building, we rode the elevator, and at the far right of the highest floor is where the club is. It is certainly exhausting if we use the stair to go here.
She puts her school ID on front of the scanner besides the door, then she put her right hand after. The school ID is very useful, if it can be used like that.
The white sliding door automatically opens after the scanner verified that she's a member.
"Welcome to the Alchemy Club, I'm Rose Sherramira, the president of this club." She introduces herself."Asakura Touya, Touya is my given name." I give her a bow after introducing myself.
