Chapter 4:
Shadow World
Chapter 3: “Blaze Swords, Zonkos, and the Spider’s Web”
Clar’s eyes widened the moment she noticed the sword resting at Blaze’s side.
“Is that… a Blaze Sword?” she asked, her voice trembling with shock. “There are only three Blaze Swords ever made.”
Frost turned toward her calmly. “What’s your name?”
“My name is Clar,” she said softly, her tone innocent and cute. “I’m eighteen.”
Frost nodded. “Same. I’m eighteen too.”
Clar looked at Blaze with curiosity. “What about you?”
“I’m seventeen,” Blaze replied simply.
Clar hesitated, then lowered her gaze. Blaze stepped closer, his voice turning serious.
“What were you doing with those two bandits?”
Clar swallowed. “We’re from a middle-class family. My father took a loan from a big merchant… two months ago.”
“How much?” Frost asked.
“Two million Kaizoins.”
Frost blinked once. “That’s cheap. Only twenty Spidorions.”
Clar shook her head quickly. “We had twenty days to return it. But they blackmailed my parents… kidnapped them. Those men were here to kill me.”
Blaze’s eyes hardened. “Then we’ll save your parents.”
Kazopia Market — 7 April 2051 — Day
Volt wiped sweat from his forehead as he walked beside Aqua.
“We’ve been walking for an hour,” he complained, his voice tired. “And we still haven’t found anything.”
“Don’t give up,” Aqua replied calmly.
Suddenly, shouting echoed through the market.
“Catch him!”
“No— I don’t want to die!”
A man sprinted past them. In the chaos, a guard fell—dead.
“If we catch him, we’ll get money!” one guard shouted.
“But his bounty is five million Kaizoins!” another yelled.
Aqua frowned. “Why are they fighting over such a low amount?”
Volt stepped forward. “Hey—why are you fighting?”
“Our city placed a bounty on local Zonkos,” a guard answered.
Volt tilted his head. “Zonkos?”
Aqua spoke before the guard could answer. “We’re Zonkos too. Zonkos are superhumans—or humans who break World Government rules. Everyone breaks rules once in their life… but Zonkos break them at a high level.”
Volt smirked. “You’re smart, Aqua.”
“They’re divided into levels,” Aqua continued.
“A-Grade—bounties in Kuris.
Special Grade—Kaizoins.
Elite Grade—Secrols.
Champion Grade—Spidorions.
Master Grade—Zenos.
Legends Grade—more Zenos.
And the Four Kaizins… bounties in Galazials.”
Volt sighed. “That was a long speech.”
A voice cut through the air.
“Fight me.”
A man stepped forward, his eyes glowing with psychic force.
Psychic Spider — Special Grade Zonko
Bounty: 5,987,000 Kaizoins
Age: 20
Aqua laughed.
Aqua — Elite Grade Zonko
Bounty: 7,065,896 Secrols
Vice Leader of Spider Raid
Age: 18
Volt stepped beside him.
“Do you know me?”
Volt — Elite Grade Zonko
Bounty: 1,495,000 Secrols
Left-hand man of Blaze
Age: 17
The guards gasped.
“They’re Zonkos too!”
“If they fight, someone will die!”
“Then we’ll kill the rest!”
Aqua raised his hand. Water exploded forward—Water Bomb.
It slammed into Psychic Spider, weakening his power.
“You won’t fight?” a guard asked Volt.
Volt answered calmly, “You’ll take advantage.”
All six guards froze in shock.
Psychic Spider tried to control Aqua’s mind—but failed.
“My mind is sharper than yours,” Aqua said coldly.
Psychic Spider focused, power compressing. Mind Overload.
“You don’t even have rookie strength,” Aqua said.
A telekinetic barrier formed.
“It doesn’t matter if your bounty is higher,” Psychic Spider snarled. “You’ll lose.”
Aqua smiled. “If you lose… you join my team.”
Aqua’s Flashback
“Let’s fight,” Earth Spider said.
“We have more work to do,” Blaze replied.
“Spider Raid is too big,” Aqua whispered.
Later—
“Our last moment,” Earth Spider said sadly.
“Nooooo!” Aqua cried.
The flashback shattered.
The fight continued.
