Invisible Competiton

He shouted again,

"Move out of the way! It is too dangerous!"

And after the people saw him and ran away from there, seconds later he hit the dragon from its back and made its eye glow bright yellow. And the dragon quickly fell to the ground and hit the Ezikel bridge. 

But fortunately, the person on top of it held its head and made it stop after slipping for seconds.

The crowd got very uncomfortable since they were face to face with the dragon, but everyone was safe.

As everyone was very close to the dragon, including Caitrin, she looked at it with fear and said to herself,

"An actual Dragon!? I didn't know they were real!?"

Then the person on top of it looked around, gasping for air, and asked,

"Is everyone, Ok?"

It was a man that looked very young.

He looked like he was six and a half feet tall, had white short hair that covered his neck, and had black-colored eyes. He was wearing a dark blue outfit that looked like a coat and had collars at the neck and he also wore black pants and shoes.

Although it was his body was not that visible from the crowd, His very good built body charismatic structure was easily seeable.

And as he stopped the dragon, Neresu and Rai stood on both sides of the dragon looking at him.

Neresu then looked at him with a serious expression and said,

"It's not safe for you to put such a dangerous creature among people, Kono."

Rai crossed her arms and added,

"Yeah. And you're pretty late."

She then added with a smile,

"But I have to admit, I liked your dramatic entrance."

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I will be more careful next time." He said while scratching his head with a smile,

He then added,

"But everyone is safe, right?"

And whenever he smiled, it made the crowd said many good things about him.

"It is him! It's Kono Ichikawa!"

"He finally came!"

"He looks so cool and he smiles so beautifully!"

"Right! Right!"

Caitrin then looked around confused and asked Yuma,

"Why are they cheering him this much? And what was that glow?"

While Yuma was about to talk, Orano interrupted him and started talking,

"He is "Kono Ichikawa". The top number one Creature Hunter among all kingdoms. His power was called "immeasurable" among the kingdoms and he's a professional who's killed dozens of dragons since his young age. But his most striking feature is that he bravely steps into every situation like a hero and always helps people by smiling. Because of the joy and confidence he radiated, people respected him infinitely."

Caitrin said sarcastically, 

"Weren't you quiet all the time?"

Yuma then added,

"And rumor has it that the source of his power comes from his parents. His father used to be a master of elemental magic, and since her mother was a witch who was doing important research on Luroun's war at the time, she discovered a new spell. And finally, he was born a hybrid and carried some of his parents's power in himself. 

His power works like how lighting spells do. It helps him to send electric shocks to the creature's vital organs and kills it from inside of it. It is very dangerous since he can kill anything he punches or kicks."

Caitrin said with a sarcastic and scared voice tone,

"That is.... Scary."

Then she added,

"I have heard about the elemental magic before. There are like fire, water, earth, wind and those kinds of things. It is the easiest spell that a person can use. But what is magic creating? And if the Creature Hunter society can use spells this easily, doesn't that make the Society of sorcerers and witches powerless?"

Yuma said with a smile,

"Actually that is the most exciting part."

He then added,

"Although there is no exact information about how it was founded, and it continues since the time of our ancestors, sorcerers and witches, unlike creature hunters, have the ability to create spells and have always produced new spells. And although more dangerous and useful spells have been found in the past, this is still something that continues. Almost hundreds of spells have been discovered, but it's not that easy to use them. That is why Creature Hunters use easy spells like element spells."

"So that makes Kono special right?" Caitrin said.

"Yes, it does make him special. But he is not the only one special."

"Really?"

"Since Haruhi Eliza's parents come from a bloodline that uses light spells, she is considered special too."

And while they were talking, an authorized person finally approached the microphone. But while he was about to start talking, every creature hunter lined up and waited for him to talk.

Then the man said,

"Welcome to the annual and official Creature Hunter ceremony!"

Everyone was clapping and they were shouting the name of the person they were a fan of,

"Mrs. Rai! You did great!"

"Mr. Kono! We love you!"

"Mr. Neresu! You are the best!"

Orano said,

"It finally started, huh?"

Then the man started talking again,

"I once again thank the creature hunters for working hard for us this year too and thinking more about our safety than anyone else."

Then he opened the box in front of him and said,

"Now let's move on to the main event, and give our awards!"

Now everyone was talking about who was going to win or not.

"It will be Kono again! There is no doubt about it!"

"Mr. Neresu worked so hard too! He deserves it!"

"The actual problem is everybody is forgetting about Mrs. Rai! She deserves it too!"

Caitrin leaned in front, put her hands on her cheek asked with a bored expression,

"So they will take medals now, right?"

"Although it seems like a small event, it's fun to watch. And it really makes you wonder." Yuma replied.

Then the authorized person talked once more and said,

"Firstly, as anyone knows, I would like to give the diamond medal to Kono Ichikawa! For his giant support and bravery!"

He slowly walked towards the medal and wore it. 

Everyone was going crazy for him now. But he looked at one of the woman in the crowd, smiled, and waved towards her.

The woman was five and a half feet tall, had white short hair that stretched to her shoulders, and had red-colored eyes. She was wearing a dark red sweater with black pants. She had gold earrings and her nails were colored to black.

She happily smiled and waved at him while shouting,

"Congratulations!"

After that, the man started talking again, and he gave everyone their medals when their turn came.

Neresu Poteus took a platinum medal, Nijimura Rai took a gold medal, Haruhi Eliza and Valdis Ryuko took a silver medal and the rest took a bronze medal.

Caitrin asked once again,

"Everyone is talking about those five, but who are those four?"

Yuma started to explain,

"The one with the red Jacket is Hiro Segyuu. He uses elemental magic too. But different from others, he creates crows with elemental magic and sends them to explore. It is very useful when it comes to not knowing where your enemy is."

"The woman that has blonde hair is, Chou Yu. Unlike any other person here she is one of the people that doesn't use any spells and uses her own body power and It is said that she uses martial arts to fight Creatures." 

"The other person right beside them and who uses an arrow and a dagger is, Yonabi Tsukiko. Like Chou Yu, she is not a spell user. She's pretty good at hand-to-hand combat and very talented at marksmanship than most of the people."

"And finally the man with the long blue hair is, Lumram. He is a person that uses elemental type magic and he only uses water spells. But even though he uses elemental spells, and unlike any other person, he mastered it and made it to another level on elemental spells."

Caitrin thought to herself, and said,

*Mastering on elemental spells, huh? Interesting.*

Then she asked,

"You know a lot about them, were they popular before?"

Yuma said,

"Actually I don't know much about those four. These are the things that I have heard from people. But those five have been very popular since we started on this journey with Tatsumi. They were the "young stars" of creature hunting."

And when they were watching the ceremony the expression of the man that was announcing changed and turned into a nervous one.

He said stuttering,

"Forgive me for my mistake, but there's one other person here who needs to be awarded."

He then looked around and said,

"Orano Tatsumi? Is Orano Tatsumi here?"

Everyone in the crowd and the creature hunters looked at each other nervously.

"Orano Tatsumi?"

"The fast-rising rookie?"

"Seriously, I don't remember seeing his face before."

When they were talking to each other, Orano jumped through the barrier in front of him and started to approach the stage.

Caitrin got very confused and panicked,

"Wait for a second! He is on the list too!? And where is he going?"

Yuma said with a smile,

"Looking at Tatsumi's recent ranking as a creature hunter, I was very surprised. Because he was ranked sixth because of the large creatures he had recently cut. But we didn't realize that he was ranked so high in the rankings since we were looking for Rift. And when I told him that, he said that it wasn't that important. I guess he didn't care about it that much."

He then added,

"But now it seems that he's got the reputation of a "fast-rising rookie" in people's eyes."

Caitrin looked at him with shock and said to herself,

"The sixth?"

Now everyone was looking at him with shock.
