Chapter 33 — The Overpowered Goblin King

The plan was simple.

Well… as simple as a plan can be when it’s made by someone who isn’t exactly skilled in strategy.

I couldn’t come up with a brilliant, carefully calculated scheme.

But at least I had something.

I decided to act the same way I did when I fought Soldier #1’s team.

Use my biggest advantage — the Training Room skill and Berserk.

So… let’s begin.

I’m ready.

I’m in perfect condition, not a single injury on me.

I prepared Healing Potions in advance — after so many days in this dungeon, I’ve accumulated quite a lot of second-rank potions.

Right now, I have more than forty.

And I think I’ll need them badly.

All right…

I’m starting.

Pov:

Inside the enormous corridor packed with thousands of Goblin Kings, a young man suddenly appeared out of thin air — around twenty-five years old, wearing worn, battered clothing, but holding a flawless sword without a single scratch.

Dozens of nearby Goblin Kings immediately noticed him. All at once, they moved forward, raising their massive swords.

The young man dashed forward with such speed that the eye could barely track him. In an instant, he beheaded three Goblin Kings, his blade slicing through their thick flesh as if it were air. Their bodies burst into light and scattered into countless shimmering particles.

He cut another almost in half — a fatal blow for any living creature, but for a dungeon monster, it was merely a wound. It didn’t stop the beast from fighting.

Two more burst into light and vanished. But the moment he killed them, the Goblin Kings closed ranks and completely surrounded him, thick giant bodies blocking every direction.

Before the first attack could reach him, the young man disappeared.

A heartbeat later he appeared in another part of the corridor — and immediately killed two more, his blade flashing like a spark of lightning. He moved at impossible speed: each jump was an instant relocation, each swing of his sword another explosion of light where a Goblin King dissolved.

When they surrounded him again — after he had already killed more than a dozen — he once more vanished, leaving the Goblin Kings to chop empty air.

And then appeared again.

And vanished again.

He moved among thousands of Goblin Kings like an unavoidable shadow, like a deadly thunderbolt appearing and disappearing, leaving behind nothing but collapsing showers of light.

And then — he made a mistake.

One massive sword managed to hit him, stabbing deep into his shoulder. But in the very next moment, he vanished — and reappeared seconds later somewhere else in the corridor, completely uninjured. As if that strike had never existed.

Except for the torn fabric on his shoulder and traces of blood on his clothes, his body was perfectly intact.

He dove back into battle. Again and again, even taking heavy hits, he would disappear and reappear fully healed moments later, tearing apart the very logic of mortality. Every monster that crossed paths with him was essentially signing its own death sentence.

The number of Goblin Kings rapidly decreased. More and more of the massive bodies burst into pale light and faded into sparkling dust.

And finally, the last one was beheaded — dissolving into a cloud of shimmering light.

Now the young man stood in the center of the gigantic corridor. His clothes were slashed into ribbons, soaked in blood, but his body was unharmed. He breathed heavily, slowly looking around.

The corridor was empty — except for the thousands of magic stones scattered across the floor. They reflected the glow of the huge chandeliers above, making it seem like the entire corridor glittered with countless violet sparks.

Yeah… I did it.
I really did it.
I survived. And killed all of them.

Even now it’s hard to believe.

The fight was harder than anything I’ve ever experienced — especially that moment when the sword actually pierced my shoulder. Thankfully, I had prepared plenty of healing potions. Without them… yeah, I wouldn’t be alive right now.

The Training Room saved me. I always thought the accelerated time was a flaw — an annoying feature that prevented me from relaxing… but in this battle, it became my greatest advantage.

I didn’t just heal my wounds — I managed to rest as if hours had passed between clashes. In reality, I was gone only a handful of seconds each time.

Without that… I’d be lying here among the magic stones.

Ugh… my clothes are completely destroyed. Just shreds.
Good thing I have a spare set. I should change… but first I need water to wash.

Except… damn.
I don’t have water anymore.

The couple of liters I had left, I drank during breaks.
And now the thirst is kicking in hard.

When I get back to town, I’ll buy the biggest, sturdiest barrel I can find — I don’t care how much it costs. Or some kind of giant container. Anything to store enough water long-term.

I’m not going to be stingy about it. Water reserves aren’t a luxury — they’re a matter of survival. Especially if I ever need to rely on the Training Room skill to stay alive again.

The door should have opened by now. Even though I couldn’t see it from here, the fight was over — not a single monster left. According to dungeon logic, I should be able to leave.

I turned and walked toward the beginning of the corridor. Took only a few steps before I felt the slightest tremor under my feet.

A vibration in the stone floor.

“…No… not again…”

I turned around.
Yes — a massive door had appeared in the wall. Huge double gates.

But oh no.
I wasn’t opening anything this time.
I’d had more than enough horror for one lifetime.

I turned back toward the entrance and kept walking. But then…

A deep rumbling echoed behind me.

The door… slowly opened.

Damn.
I didn’t open it.
Are they seriously trying to toss me into another monster-filled corridor?

I spun around sharply.

What I saw wasn’t another corridor.

No.

A new monster stepped out.

Three meters tall.

Muscular like carved stone.

Holding a gigantic sword.

This was the true image of a Goblin King — the one I once imagined.

Huge, muscular, terrifying.

No sagging gut like the others I fought before.

This one was far more powerful.

“RRRUUAAAAGH!!!”

The monster roared — a roar so powerful the walls trembled. A cold shiver ran down my legs. Even the massive chandeliers above shook.

Hell no.

I turned and sprinted at full speed toward the beginning of the corridor.

FWOOOSH!
BOOOOM!

What the hell?!

I glanced back while running.
An enormous axe was embedded in the floor where I had stood a moment ago.

A damn AXE?!

But he had a sword!

Who cares?! RUN!

But the closer I got to the start of the corridor, the more dread crawled up my spine.

I looked ahead — but I couldn’t see a doorway. No exit. Nothing.

Just a dead end.

I stopped abruptly, almost slamming into the wall.

That’s it. Enough.

The next moment, I teleported into the Training Room.

Yeah… I need to breathe, to think about what to do next.

What the hell is happening? Why is everything going like this?

I’m exhausted. I have no water, no food, and my strength is fading.

And now — this monster.
This steroid-infused nightmare that would crush me with a single mistake.

I understood it too well: one slip, one missed dodge, and I’d be nothing but a bloodstain on the stone floor. A squashed mosquito.

I’ve survived too much to die like that.
Screw this.
Screw this dungeon.
Screw the Goblin King.
And screw this overpowered Goblin King too.

Anger flooded me so strongly I could barely breathe.
