Katori's Beast Wave PT.2

The three rush towards the car, where their special B.S.C. driver is waiting in the driver’s seat. All of them individually rushed into their seats with Zaki in the passenger’s seat, and Amuro and Shiro in the backseats.

- After getting into the car’s passenger seat in a rush, Zaki spoke calmly
ZAKI : COUGH “Kind sir, may you drive to the horde of beasts headed to the town?”
- He asked calmly.

Their driver was taking a nap, wearing eye covers with his legs resting on top of the steering wheel, and the seat reclined backwards. He didn’t reply.

ZAKI : “WAKE THE FUCK UP, KISHO!”
- He yelled at the driver’s face, whose name is Kisho.

KISHO : “Haah?”
- Kisho lifted his eye covers to see Zaki in front of his face.

ZAKI : “WE GOT 9 BEASTS ROAMING KATORI! GET TO DRIVING!”
- Zaki yelled at Kisho again.

KISHO : “9…? I thought this was an investigation.”
- He took off his eye covers and tucked them in the car’s cup holders.

AMURO : “Danger zone, they said.”
- Amuro spoke calmly.

- Kisho looked at the backseat to see Shiro in his beast form.
KISHO : “So we’re bringing in half-turned beasts in my car now?”
- He asked calmly while looking at Zaki.

SHIRO : “Huh?”

ZAKI : “Do not judge the uniqueness of my students!”
- Zaki was confident.

KISHO : Sigh “Let’s get this over with.”

Kisho fixes his position at the driver’s seat, quickly starts the engine, shifts the gears to 1st, and immediately floors it to chase down the beasts headed to the town.

On the road, they’re driving through rice fields with a small road heading to the town. Shiro and Amuro’s windows were down to get a clearer view of their surroundings to find the 9 beasts.

SHIRO : “Amuro! Are you able to track it?!”
- He asked while having his head peeking out of the window, his form still activated.

AMURO : “No, it’s hard to sense their energy at this conditions!”
- His head was also peeking out of the window.

Zaki looked out the window, seeing Zaki’s head with his horns coming out of his eyes that spiraled up to the top of his head.

ZAKI : “Hm..?”

He looked at Shiro’s horns with his perception to see energy that was neither negative nor positive, but a crimson colored energy that was strong and ominous. He couldn’t describe it, but he’s seen it before.

ZAKI : “Rikka has this…”
- He whispered to himself.

They’re nearing a white Torri gate that was the entrance of the town they were heading to. They still haven’t found any beasts nearby until Shiro suddenly sees 2 sources of negative energy within a house, as if it was x-ray, close to the Torri gate entrance

SHIRO : “I SEE TWO!”
- He yelled, pointing at the house with his head peeking out of the car window.

AMURO : “Huh?”
- Amuro was confused as he couldn’t detect any negative energy of a beast.

Shiro jumps out of the moving vehicle they were on from the open window and began to run to the house.

AMURO : “BASTARD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?”
- He yelled as he watched Shiro jump from the moving far, right before they passed the Torri gate.

Shiro ran to the house and barged the door open to see two identical beasts with different colors, both with their own ribs puncturing their own skin, and some human hands coming out of their backs as they were in a hunching position. They had small legs but large arms, and they had human-like fingers. Their eyes were positioned on their faces, and their mouths were wide open, watering with sticky saliva.

The two beasts were cornering an elderly couple, some furnitures were broken, and some was on the floor.

SHIRO : “HEY!”
- He yelled at the beasts.

The two beasts looked back behind them to see Shiro, the one they had run away from. The elderly couple was trembling and scared for their life.

SHIRO : “COME ON! I’M THE ONE YOU WANT, RIGHT?!”

The two beasts looked at each other for a moment before running away through the front door and passing Shiro.

SHIRO : “HAH?! COME BACK HERE!”
- He yelled as he watched the two beast runaway from the house.
- He looked back at the elderly couple who were trembling on the floor, hugging each other, but they were slightly confused.
SHIRO : “Sorry for the disturbance.”
- He nodded before he ran away to chase down the two beasts.

…

Back at Zaki, Amuro, and Kisho were still driving around the town looking for the beasts.

AMURO : “Shit, we can’t let those beasts roam around; they could be anywhere now.”

Suddenly, they hear a scream in the distance coming from a girl. Kisho drove to where the scream was to see 5 girls coming out of a building, crossing the road, when 4 beasts crashed through the same building chasing the girls.

ZAKI : “THAT’S 4 OF THEM!”

Amuro and Zaki immediately stepped out of the vehicle to chase after the 4 beasts.

Shiro was trying to trace the steps of the two beasts he was chasing, but it was hard since he didn’t see which direction they both went.

SHIRO : “They could’ve gone anywhere.”

He pants, trying to catch his breath as he’s quite tired from all the running. He looked at the ground, feeling a little dizzy; his vision was getting slightly blurry from being in his form for too long and maybe for losing too much blood earlier when he was severed.

SHIRO : “Shit. It’s not supposed to come this early.”
SHIRO : “Maybe it’s cause I lost a lot of blood earlier.”

He shakes his head while looking at the ground, gaining some control again, but he realizes something. A trail of dark-purple kind of aura was on the floor, it’s something he’s never seen, but it got him curious, maybe it’ll lead him to the beasts.

SHIRO : “Is this that energy and aura shit' that Zaki teacher was saying?”

He followed the trail, going through the town, and he was running even though he was still quite dizzy. He reached the end of the trail, which ended in the middle of the road beside a small, closed commercial building. He looked around him, seeing no beasts in sight. Maybe it was just some weird trail he found.

SHIRO : “I’m probably going crazy.”

He looks up at the closed commercial building to see a beast on its rooftop. As soon as Shiro noticed it, the beast jumped down to attack Shiro, but he was able to take a few steps forward, avoiding it.

SHIRO : “Okay, maybe I’m not going crazy.”

Shiro made a move. He swung his right arm, trying to attach the beast with the horns attached to his arm, but he missed.

SHIRO : “Fuck.”

The beast then slashed Shiro’s chest with its claws while his right arm was still in the air, causing him to step back a little as he was bleeding now.

He ignored the attack as he rushed towards the beast with his left arm in the air, but before he was able to pierce the beast’s head with his horns, the beast rushed in and bit on Shiro’s left arm to stop the attack as the beast continued to run with him in its mouth.

SHIRO : “HA..?!”

Shiro then used his right arm to stab its head, but the beast swayed its head, causing him to be flung onto a nearby wall, where he was able to maintain his balance and stand up.

The beast stood still for a bit, as its head was bleeding with green blood from Shiro’s attack earlier.

Shiro rubbed his hand on the wound on his chest to get some blood on his hands, before he rushed onto the beast again and rubbed his blood on his hand onto the beast’s face.

SHIRO : “THIS SHOULD WORK!”

The beast was moving its head all over the place, swaying it around as Shiro grunted and grabbed onto it by piercing his horns attached to his arms to get a firm grip on it.

He rubbed his blood all over its face before he took off the horn from the beast’s head as he jumped away.

As soon as he jumped away from the beast, crimson thorns with gold veins came out of the beast, stabbing its head.

SHIRO : “YES!”

The beast began to scream; it was loud, louder than anything Shiro had ever heard, as he covered his ears.

SHIRO : “ARGH!”

But it quickly stopped as it began to melt into ashes.

He looked at the beast that was now melting.

SHIRO : “Almost killed my eardrums there…”

He pants; his breath is heavy. He was still a bit dizzy, but he had better control over himself.

SHIRO : “I have to find the others!”

He said to himself, before realizing his form was beginning to melt as well.

SHIRO : “Wait.. huh?! This early?!”

The horns attached to his arms and on his head was melting, the wound on his chest began to heal as it steamed.

SHIRO : “Fuck, I can’t fight in a human form!”
SHIRO : “Whatever, I have to find them first!”

He began to run in search of the others.

Zaki and Amuro were in an alleyway, fighting 2 of the 4 beasts they had found earlier. Amuro was fighting a beast with his katana, as he was completely calm doing so.

He’s able to predict the beast’s next moves with his perception. As the beast was about to release a heavy punch at Amuro, he was able to predict it, dodge it, and slash off the beast’s arm.

Zaki, who was swiftly dodging all the beast’s attacks, before releasing a gut punch onto it and then an array of punches on its torso and different sides and parts of its body, seemingly hitting every weak spot, before he released a heavy punch onto the beast’s head, flinging it onto the walls, as he then makes a cutting gesture with his fingers, aimed at the beast as it’s neck began to squirt purple liquid, before it bloated it’s head, causing it to explode.

MEET : Zaki Hoshiro, The 'V', but mostly known as the strongest beast hunter (of today) with his Vision Ability known as “Venom”. He’s quite charming and charismatic, but can be very annoying.

AMURO : Sigh “This became a mission instead of an investigation.”
- He spoke, after killing the beast with a slash through its neck.

ZAKI : “It’s good training!”
- Zaki was optimistic about the ‘investigation’ today.

- Amuro only gave him an annoyed side-eye
AMURO : “There’s still 7 more beasts we have to find, 5 if Shiro killed the two he found at that house.”
- He said with a cold voice, as if he was pissed.

ZAKI : “Hmmm? We can always send over a patrol team to help us.”

AMURO : “Please do. For now let’s find Shiro.”
- He spoke while walking past Zaki, exiting the alleyway they were in.

ZAKI : “Okay!”
- He proudly said.

…

Shiro was walking around the town, looking for Zaki and Amuro, or at least the car they were in. The street looked familiar; he was walking beside a small factory building with its orange paint. Across the road was a solar panel field beside a parking lot. The place was familiar, the wind breezed through him as he continued walking on the sidewalk.

And there it is, across the street, was his apartment building where he and Sheena used to live. The place still looked the same as when he was here last time. He gazes at the door on the 2nd floor where he would always come in, seeing hanged clothes in front of it, seemingly someone else is living in it now.

He thought to himself, continuing to gaze at the door. Reminiscing about times when he and Sheena would hang out outside it every night, just drinking some soda or having long talks.

He imagines Sheena right now on the 2nd floor by their door, waving at him and calling him to come.

Suddenly, his head began to hurt, and he was getting dizzy again, with his body getting weaker and more fatigued.

He thought to himself, as his vision was slowly beginning to blur.

He kneels on the sidewalk, covering his head as it begins to hurt a lot.

He said to himself, before he falls over onto the floor, face first.
