Chapter 29:

Battle of the 1st Reverends

Blades of the Shattered Chaplets: 4th Novel

Aamon Krozolo bypassed Michiaki Sen’s household barrier with ease. This was something that not anybody could do, showing the true power of Aamon Krozolo, the true 1st Reverend of the Swords.

He didn’t know who Michiaki was at this moment in time with his mind utterly lost, but for some reason his body went straight for Michiaki’s home on his rampage.

He came outside, looking at Aamon and greeted him like an old friend as if nothing was wrong. He laughed and told a short story while Aamon laughed and looked at him eerily with drool running down his mouth.

Michiaki: “Ahh, old friend. I wish I could catch up more with you, but I’ve already prepared for this. I will save you and you will take my stead in helping the swordsmen. I am not a monster, but I have made my choice. You have not yet made yours. I will help you. Your mind isn’t right. It isn’t fair for you to make a decision yet. Do you see this, Ezra? Even though you are preparing your body for something, you still choose to keep an eye on me. You know as well that I am just a human.”

Ezra was glancing from a far way away in her realm still preparing for her battle against God, but she scoffed not knowing that Michiaki could sense her…

Aamon wasted no time and started to walk close to Michiaki, but each step he took made time slower and slower and slower. He got face to face with Michiaki who now stood still in space.

Without hesitation, Aamon laughed and obliterated Michiaki into bits and pieces. He laughed and walked away down the stairs that led up to this abode. When he got to the last step at the bottom he tripped and fell to the ground, but it shattered like glass and Aamon fell through the ground into an ocean of incoming waves.

With his strength, the sea parted around him, raising the waves around like they were commanded by him.

From above came a voice…

It was a woman’s voice very familiar to him.

“Rachel–” he said softly, but then went back to how he was. The small moment of sanity didn’t last long.

Then, around him appeared images of Rachel that shifted his viewpoint.

“Rach!” he screamed out again, but couldn’t revert his mind completely.

He tried again and again and again, fighting himself in every way possible.

“Fight!” Michiaki yelled out. “If you can’t fight for your life, then fight for what you love! Your wife!”

Aamon yelled out loud trying to fight off his mind while hearing the echoes of Michiaki’s words.

“That’s not happening today boys!” a different voice yelled out, but not from Michiaki or Aamon. “You shouldn’t have let me out of my cage, Michiaki Sen!”

Michiaki: “Kaibo! Stop this!”

Kaibo: “Your body isn’t even here. Say all the words you want. This is gonna be interesting. You freed me to wreak havoc. Don’t get me wrong. I’ll keep my promise of not going after you and your family, however…This man is not off limits.”

Aamon could no longer focus on the images of Rachel as they shattered around him and the scenery reverted back to the end steps of Michiaki’s home. The desert ground was easy to work with. They had miles and miles of land to work with. Not that they cared, but Michiaki made sure if Aamon broke out of his illusion for some reason, then they would be in a place that couldn’t affect others.

He broke ways with Aamon and believed that he would win the fight while he sat back with his family in a place that was all too familiar.

Reiken: “Well? What do we think? Amazing! Flattering! Enthralling! Isolated! Great! Your family will be safe here forever. I have perfected the most perfect barrier. Even stronger than yours and you know it. For years I have taken pieces of the most powerful things I have seen. And, with my consumption of Chaplets, I have gained strength that allows me to power this barrier forever. What do you think, Michiaki Sen?”

Michiaki: “We are grateful. Indeed it is stronger than my barrier, although it isn’t perfect. You need more. Plenty of strong people can break this. You must build it strong enough to where the legendary Kazuki Alcion cannot even scratch it.”

Reiken: “Ahh, I see. I will take that advice and make it better. In the meantime, please relax and enjoy.”

Michiaki: “Indeed we will. Thank you…”

Kaibo: “Mixed Heredity!”

Black and white bacteria floated above the surface targeting Aamon. To his surprise, he didn’t stop the attack with time. Instead, he inhaled every piece of bacteria as his body jolted around like he was about to explode, but suddenly he stopped and just smiled at Kaibo.

Kaibo: “Yo-You adapted to it? Impossible. This is going to be an interesting and fun fight. I’m not sure who you are, but you certainly have the strongest mana in the entire world. Come!”
