Chapter 6:
BONGCLOUD [SEASON 1, PART 1 OUT NOW]
Joy. It is an emotion that one can only experience if he or she is enjoying something. It requires a sense of fulfilment from a certain act, whether that be poetry or writing. If one is enjoying something, then he or she may be described as feeling a sense of joy. Joyful. Legend says that there is an entity, a spirit, who was once human but died without ever experiencing proper joy. He only once ever experienced a slither of it, and he came to be known as the god of joy.
Joyboy.
EPISODE 6
Daylight. Sunlight streamed though the wide window right in front of Hiacho. The ceiling stared right back at Hiacho as he stared at it, feeling..nothing. No emotion whatsoever. He tried to move his fingers, but they wouldn't move. Not even a bit. Same things for his arms and legs. The window had an amazing view. A tree and the sky. The tree was an oak tree, but just for a second Hiacho thought that he saw a cherry blossom one instead. His head started spinning, and he looked away.
"Hey, boy.", Nobara said, perching down on the seat in which Lisa had sat aeons ago. At least it felt that way since he didn't have a sense of time. "Are you feeling better? Did you try to move your body a bit?"
His heart hammered against his chest as he stared at her, his mind racing. She used to talk to him exactly like this, if not kinder. But then she disappeared. The room tilted sideways as reality tried to realign itself. Beyond the window..
His eyes grew wide. His breathing became shallow and uneven. The nurse noticed immediately, placing a steady yet gentle hand on his, squeezing it softly. "Hey now.", she said, her voice coming out as a whisper. "Are you okay?".
She places a hand on the blanket where his chest was. "You're heart's practically running a marathon.", she says, eyes wide a bit. Then she smiles and giggles a bit. "Sorry, but I'm not in your age group."
"No, it's not that.."
"Where's Lisa?"
Her eyes hardened a bit. She suddenly stood up, almost knocking the chair over. She walks out of sight, and returns a few heartbeats later with a bowl of what looked like noodles. She sits back down on the chair and picks up a spoon.
"Here, have some ramen."
"Huh? But I can't-"
"Who said you were going to eat it yourself?". She makes a spoonful and brings it closer and closer to my mouth. Then she says,
"Open your mouth wide."
